Chapter 866: Chapter 866: Definitely a Playboy

The car stopped at the gate, and Jiang Heping was already waiting at the door with the butler.

Seeing Yang Cheng get out of the car, he quickly came up to greet him, holding Yang Cheng’s hand, smiling from ear to ear.

"Mr. Yang, you finally came! It must have been a tiring journey, come in and rest."

"You’re too kind, Patriarch Jiang. Please take me to see Miss Jiang first."

Yang Cheng said with a smile.

"Alright, alright, this way please."

Jiang Heping hurriedly led the way, babbling as they walked, "Since she took the medicine you sent, Yu’s complexion has improved a lot, and she can eat now. She’s even gained some weight over this period. Watching her get better day by day, I finally feel a bit more at ease."

Yang Cheng nodded, feeling a bit relieved inside.

The group passed through several corridors and arrived at Jiang Yu’s courtyard.

The courtyard was full of flowers and plants, the air filled with a faint floral scent. Sunlight filtered through gaps in the leaves, casting mottled shadows on the ground.

"Yu, Mr. Yang is here to see you."

Jiang Heping pushed open the door, his voice carrying a hint of excitement.

On the bed, Jiang Yu was leaning against the headboard reading a book. Hearing the sound, she raised her head, revealing a delicate little face.

She indeed looked a bit chubbier than the last time they met, her cheeks showing a touch of flesh, no longer as thin as before, skin white with a rosy hue, her features more refined, looking like a porcelain doll, so beautiful she seemed unreal.

Seeing Yang Cheng come in, her eyes lit up immediately, a slight, shy smile appeared on her lips.

"Dr. Yang, you’re here."

Her voice was gentle, with a hint of a youthful bashfulness.

"Miss Jiang’s complexion has improved a lot; it seems the medicine I sent is working well."

Yang Cheng walked to the bedside, sitting in the chair next to it.

"Yes, after taking the medicine, my body feels much better, and I can eat now."

Jiang Yu nodded, her beautiful eyes fixed on Yang Cheng, full of gratitude and reliance.

"I’ll check your body first, don’t be nervous."

Yang Cheng extended his hand, placing it on her wrist.

Jiang Yu obediently stretched out her hand, her slender wrist white as jade, the blue veins under the skin clearly visible.

Yang Cheng closed his eyes, sending a trace of True Qi into her body, carefully checking the dark red Rabbit Source Qi within her.

A moment later, he opened his eyes, nodding slightly.

"Recovering well, the medicine has suppressed the restless Source Qi, it’s relatively stable now."

Jiang Heping let out a sigh of relief, but then he tensed again, "Mr. Yang, when can Yu’s illness be completely cured?"

Yang Cheng pondered for a moment, then said solemnly, "Although Miss Jiang’s health is much better than before, she’s still very frail. We must extract the Source Qi from her as soon as possible; the longer it drags on, the more harm to her body."

"Then..."

Jiang Heping opened his mouth, hesitating.

He knew what Yang Cheng meant by "extract Source Qi." Although he had agreed over the phone before, his daughter was still young, what if she didn’t agree?

After a brief silence, he took a deep breath, as if making a decision, "Mr. Yang, I want to speak with Yu alone for a moment."

Yang Cheng nodded, stood up, and left the room with Feng Jiuge.

With the door closed, Jiang Heping walked to the bedside, sitting beside his daughter, holding her icy hand, speaking softly, "Yu, Dad has something to tell you."

"Dad, what is it?"

Jiang Yu looked at him, her beautiful eyes showing a trace of confusion.

Jiang Heping took a deep breath, speaking slowly, "Dr. Yang mentioned the treatment method before, it requires Dual Cultivation, which involves relations between a man and a woman, but considering you’re still young, I didn’t agree at the time."

He spoke very slowly, each word seeming to be squeezed out of his throat, and after finishing, he lowered his head, not daring to meet his daughter’s eyes.

"Yu, Dad knows this is hard for you to accept, but Dad just wants you to live, nothing else matters. If you don’t want to marry in the future, Dad will take care of you forever."

"Dad, I agree."

Jiang Yu’s voice was light yet firm.

Jiang Heping suddenly raised his head, looking at his daughter in disbelief.

"Yu, you..."

Jiang Yu’s cheeks flushed slightly, like a ripe apple. She lowered her head, not daring to look into her father’s eyes, "Dr. Yang saved my life, I trust him, and he’s my benefactor, I don’t resist at all."

Her voice grew softer, like a young girl experiencing the awakening of love.

Jiang Heping was momentarily stunned, then smiled, "Good, good, as long as you’re willing."

He knew his daughter had always been an opinionated child, and now that she agreed, she must truly have come to terms with it.

Moreover, he could see that the way his daughter looked at Yang Cheng was different, it was the admiration and reliance of a young girl for someone special to her.

Outside the door, Yang Cheng and Feng Jiuge stood in the corridor, faintly hearing the conversation inside through the slightly open door.

Feng Jiuge’s lips curled slightly, speaking softly, "This girl is quite straightforward, much better than those other women of yours, not the least bit hesitant."

Yang Cheng gave her a sidelong glance, "What do you mean ’those other women of mine’? Making me sound like I’m very fickle."

"You’re not fickle?"

Feng Jiuge raised an eyebrow, looking at him.

Yang Cheng opened his mouth, but in the end, closed it.

Alright, he indeed was a bit fickle.

After a while, the door opened, Jiang Heping came out, his eyes slightly red, but with a smile on his face.

"Mr. Yang, Yu has agreed. When can we start the treatment? Do we need to prepare anything?"

Yang Cheng pondered for a moment, then spoke, "Miss Jiang’s body is still too frail, direct treatment might be too much for her to handle. I need to take a couple of days to nurse her first, using Silver Needles and medicine to adjust her body to the best condition, then proceed with the treatment."

"Also, I require some medicinal ingredients, please have someone from the Jiang Family procure them."

He took out a sheet of paper with a written prescription from his pocket and handed it over.

Jiang Heping took the prescription, glanced at it, seeing dense writing of dozens of medicinal ingredients, some names he had never even heard of.

"I’ll send someone to buy them right away!"

He turned to instruct the butler to handle it, then warmly said, "Mr. Yang, Miss Feng, you’ve had a tiring journey, I’ve had lunch prepared, please come eat, and rest afterward."

"Patriarch Jiang, you’re too kind."

Yang Cheng smiled slightly, following Jiang Heping to the front hall.

The dining table was filled with sumptuous dishes, with chicken, duck, fish, and meat, even some local specialties from Linzhou, all rich in color, aroma, and taste.

Jiang Yu, though still weak, insisted on coming out to join everyone for the meal.

She was wearing a light blue dress, her long hair draped over her shoulders. Although her face was still a bit pale, she looked fresh and elegant, like a budding white magnolia.
