Rising from Small Cloud Rain Technique
Chapter 629 - 499: Li Fire Immortal Apricot
The crimson mist roiled beneath his feet as Ji An gazed at the black mountain city not far away, feeling a multitude of emotions.
He had left the sect for over a month and was about to reach Rongman Immortal City.
This was the first stop on his last visit to the Southern Continent, and he planned to start here again.
Due to past conflicts with cultivators from the Earth Evil Sect, he subtly adjusted his facial muscles to change his facial contours, making himself look more ordinary.
If judged by appearance, he now looked entirely different from his former self.
The closer he got to the Immortal City, the more cultivators there were coming and going. Ji An slowed down his flying escape, as a Chao Origin Stage Cultivator still had a certain deterrent effect, and others consciously kept a distance from him.
After entering the Immortal City, he headed straight for Cyan Dragon Street, where spiritual farmer supplies were sold.
During his last visit to this Immortal City, he purchased Vajra Bodhi seeds from a shop, which later bore fruit that greatly aided his cultivation of the Glaze-Gold Jade Bone Body.
He prioritized a round of browsing the goods, hoping for unexpected discoveries. Additionally, he needed to purchase a large batch of spirit soil.
Ji An intentionally avoided buying these items in the sect, so he had to search for them outside.
Even in the smallest shops, he would inquire because treasures often remain concealed, and he had once bought Gathering Essence Tree seeds from a stall in Mingfeng Immortal City.
The chance of such heaven-defying luck was very low, but if encountered, it would benefit him for life.
He no longer aspired for a Heaven and Earth Spirit Root, but purchasing relatively rare Tier Two top-grade spirit seeds would be a tremendous gain.
The Gourd World still had plenty of vacant areas, and seeing them barren made him uncomfortable.
Ji An stepped into a very large shop and said to the approaching maid:
"I want to talk to your shopkeeper, about a big business deal."
The maid showed a professionally polite smile and said:
"May I ask what kind of big business deal Senior is referring to, so I can report it?"
Customers couldn’t just claim whatever they wanted; the main reason being that the cultivator in front of her looked very ordinary, and even his Daoist robe style was different.
"Purchasing Tier Two middle-grade spirit soil, buying in large quantities."
"Please wait a moment, I will report to the shopkeeper," the maid quickly went upstairs with small steps, soon following behind a white-faced, round-faced cultivator downstairs.
"I am Mu Changsheng. Senior, please step aside for a word."
The round-faced cultivator said kindly, as buying Tier Two middle-grade spirit soil was indeed a big business deal.
The two of them sat down in the VIP room, and the maid brought spirit tea and snacks.
After exchanging a few pleasantries, Mu Changsheng smiled and asked:
"What kind of spirit soil does Senior need, and how much?"
Low-tier spirit fields were relatively easy to cultivate, but the higher the tier, the more demanding the requirements for spirit field conditions.
Starting from Tier Two, cultivating spirit fields required targeted nurturing to favor spirit plants of a certain Five Elements attribute.
Planting Wood Element Spirit Plants in Fire Element spirit fields, even surviving was a luxury, let alone rapid growth.
"How much Tier Two middle-grade spirit soil of the Wood Element, Water Element, and Metal Element do you have?"
Ji An said with a tone that implied he wasn’t lacking money. In the Gourd World, he had already cultivated Tier Two middle-grade Fire Coral plants, which when ground into powder could be used as Fire Element spirit soil.
The Insect Tower of the Spirit Devouring Insect could also be used as Tier Two middle-grade spirit soil, by driving the insects out when needed.
Out with the old and in with the new, they would build a new home, a bigger home.
Now he just needed to acquire Wood, Water, and Metal spirit soil. He had bought some from other shops, but the total wasn’t much, just seven to eight hundred pounds of each.
It would be enough for a while, but he wanted to solve the issue once and for all. Before returning to the sect, he needed to buy at least five to six thousand pounds.
Mu Changsheng smiled confidently and said:
"It should be enough to satisfy Senior’s appetite, over a thousand pounds of each type."
The price of Tier Two middle-grade spirit soil wasn’t cheap, and over a thousand pounds would typically take two years to sell.
Many customers acted like they weren’t short of money when purchasing materials, but when it came to the actual transaction, they would find all kinds of excuses to back out.
He had seen many customers like that, nothing new.
"Alright, I’ll take it all."
"Really?"
"I don’t have time to joke with you, but with such a large purchase, we must discuss the price thoroughly."
Ji An had transacted with many shops and was familiar with market prices, so he wanted to negotiate a lower price this time.
Mu Changsheng rubbed his hands in excitement and said:
"If Senior can buy it all, I can offer the greatest possible discount.
Little Xue, go get the ledger."
"Yes," the maid responded respectfully and quickly left the room.
Mu Changsheng continued, "Senior, the Tier Two middle-grade Black Moisture Soil is fifty-five spirit stones per pound, Cyan Splendor Soil is sixty spirit stones per pound, and White Condensed Soil is the rarest and therefore the most expensive at seventy-five spirit stones per pound.
We’ll calculate the total bill first, and then apply the discount."
He understood clearly that he couldn’t offer discounts initially; shaving a few spirit stones off per pound might not sound impressive, but large discount figures on the total bill would satisfy customers more.
"Alright, I hope to see your shop’s sincerity."
This offer was similar to other shops, so it depended on how much the final discount would be.
A moment later, the maid walked in carrying a ledger. Mu Changsheng took it, flipped it open, and said:
"Senior, our shop currently has sixteen hundred pounds of Tier Two middle-grade Black Moisture Soil, fourteen hundred pounds of Cyan Splendor Soil, and nine hundred and fifty pounds of White Condensed Soil in the warehouse."
He quickly calculated mentally, "It adds up to over two hundred and forty-three thousand spirit stones. Is that alright?"
