[The last time the Nexus went dormant was because its residual Law Power was finally exhausted.

With no other source of Law Power available, it was forced to enter an indefinite state of dormancy.]

Ethan’s expression gradually became serious.

’Law of Devouring, huh...’

The thought echoed through his mind as the image of the enormous spiral rune surfaced in his consciousness.

So that strange rune wasn’t merely some peculiar phenomenon.

It was the supposedly so-called faintest trace of the Law of Devouring.

And judging from the Eterna Nexus’s explanation, Law Power existed on a level far above ordinary mana or elemental energy.

Ethan stared at the panel.

For several seconds, he remained completely silent.

His mouth soon slowly twisted into an expression of disbelief.

The classifications were strange enough, but what truly caught his attention was the fact that the Eterna Nexus had suddenly provided him with a detailed assessment of his own existence as if he was playing a role play game.

Ethan’s shock and dismay slowly turned to delight.

For the first time since he had discovered it, the Eterna Nexus no longer felt like a dormant and useless artifact buried inside his soul.

Calming his mind and setting aside his initial prejudices, Ethan carefully read through his Star Information in greater detail.

And the more he examined it, the more astonished he became.

The moment his consciousness fully returned to his body, Ethan instinctively knew what he needed to do with his newly acquired power.

He invoked the darkness within his Dark Crystal Core.

Immediately, rich darkness began diffusing outward from the dark crystal core, spreading through his mana dimension before flowing into his body.

To an ordinary observer, the darkness would have appeared completely normal.

Even if someone were looking directly at Ethan with their naked eyes, they wouldn’t have been able to perceive the strange phenomenon hidden within it.

But Ethan could see it clearly.

Within the dense darkness were countless tiny, spiral vortex-shaped runes.

They were faint and almost imperceptible, constantly rotating within the dark mana as they spread throughout his body.

Ethan guided the darkness out of his mana dimension and allowed it to permeate the dark mana already circulating through his body.

Then, in the next instant, he combined his soul power with his dark mana and acted.

The two poisons were still fighting violently inside Ethan’s body.

Neither of them regarded Ethan as anything more than prey.

They were devouring one another first, but once one of them emerged victorious, Ethan would become the weak prey they needed to simply devour and annihilate.

To the two instinctive existences, his body was nothing more than a source of nourishment waiting to be torn apart and consumed.

But in the midst of their battle, dense darkness suddenly began encroaching upon them from every direction.

The darkness spread throughout Ethan’s body, surrounding the blue and violet vortices before forming enormous dark domes around them.

The two poisons didn’t pay much attention to the sudden development.
