Rise of the Lustful Evil Monarch (Re)
Chapter 675: Bloody Retaliation
Third Person’s POV
However, the moment he reached the side of the house, a bluish-gray needle suddenly appeared out of nowhere and stabbed toward his back, as if it had been waiting for him to arrive.
It was a trap, and because of his desperation and unwillingness to lose this opportunity, Ethan had fallen right into it.
Ethan didn’t sense the attack until it was already too late.
Yet, his battle instincts reacted almost at the same moment, and he twisted his body sideways, causing the needle to miss his heart.
PSSH!
The needle pierced through the side of his chest and came out from the other side, tearing through his lung in the process.
"Keuk—"
Ethan gritted his teeth as blood spurted from his mouth, and acute pain erupted through his chest.
Blood immediately dyed his clothes red once again, while a new dose of poison infiltrated his body through his punctured lung.
Sensing his worsening condition and remembering that his mother and Aurelia were still behind him, Ethan’s eyes suddenly flashed with madness.
Rather than retreating from the attack, Ethan took advantage of the moment when the creature was within his reach.
His elbows struck backward with tremendous force, and his arms immediately wrapped around the creature’s neck, forming a tight lock.
The sudden martial technique caught the deformed creature completely off guard.
It had never seen such a strange fighting technique in battle before, as Ethan’s movements seemed to completely defy the conventional principles of combat it was familiar with.
For a brief moment, surprise flashed through its eyes, followed by a trace of admiration.
This human was far more daring and tenacious than it had expected.
Its legs had already regenerated from the earlier attack, and after witnessing Ethan’s relentless fighting style and terrifying resilience, it had already begun taking this seemingly inferior human far more seriously.
It immediately struggled against the lock, its deformed body twisting violently as it attempted to turn corporeal once again and escape Ethan’s grasp.
But Ethan didn’t give it the opportunity.
At that moment, he suddenly slammed his forehead into the creature’s enormous head for the second time.
BANG!
The brutal impact caused Trozon’s head to jerk backward.
Its vision blurred, and its already dizzy mind became even more disoriented from the force of the headbutt.
For the first time, its instincts screamed at it that it was in life threatening danger for the first time.
Despite the dizziness and pain assaulting its mind, Trozon finally employed its trump card.
Its huge, deformed head suddenly began shrinking, rapidly returning toward a more normal size.
At the same time, its sharp black beak opened wide.
A terrifying stream of condensed blackish-blue water suddenly erupted from within it.
SHOOOO!
The attack struck Ethan directly in the chest.
The blackish-blue liquid spread across his chest like ink, instantly covering his clothes and skin.
An unbearable, searing pain erupted from the point of contact.
Ethan’s flesh seemed to burn beneath the strange liquid, and the sensation was so intense that it felt as though his chest would melt away entirely.
Yet Ethan didn’t loosen his hold.
Instead, at almost the exact same moment, he drove his knee violently into Trozon’s stomach.
BAM!
The deformed creature’s body bent from the impact.
And despite the agonizing pain eating away at his chest, Ethan followed up immediately with another headbutt.
BANG!
The creature’s head snapped backward again, while a mix of pain, fury, and fear flashed in its beady eyes.
Ethan’s crimson eyes remained cold despite the pain.
He had finally caught the creature in a position where it couldn’t immediately disappear.
This was his opportunity, and he wasn’t going to waste it.
Catching the golden opportunity, Ethan’s twin emerald daggers flashed upward.
SHING!
One blade stabbed into the creature’s neck while the other pierced into its head.
Trozon’s body jerked violently as Ethan attacked its vital areas just as it was attempting to escape by turning corporeal again.
But Ethan didn’t stop there.
His hands suddenly changed.
Gray bone thorns emerged from his fingers and hands, their surfaces carrying the same frightening corrosive energy that he had previously seen from the sheep demon’s weapons.
Without hesitation, Ethan drove them directly into Trozon’s eyes.
The creature let out a horrific shriek.
SKREEEEEE!
But Ethan still didn’t stop.
He continued stabbing.
One bone thorn after another pierced into the deformed creature’s body, his movements fast and merciless as he unleashed every corrosive bone thorn he had stolen from the bone demon.
In the span of merely two seconds, Trozon’s body was transformed into something resembling a grotesque hedgehog.
Dozens of gray bone thorns protruded from its body, piercing through its flesh from almost every direction.
Copious amounts of toxic blue blood immediately spilled onto the ground.
Some of the blood splashed back onto Ethan’s body.
SSSSS!
The moment the corrosive blood touched his skin, it began burning through his flesh.
The skin beneath it rapidly melted, exposing raw flesh as the terrifying corrosion spread.
Ethan’s body trembled slightly from the pain, but his hands didn’t stop moving.
The deformed creature groaned in horror and fear.
Its eyes had already been destroyed.
Its body was riddled with bone thorns.
And even worse, its vital organs had been almost completely melted off by the corrosive energy contained within those thorns.
Trozon had never imagined that things would end so suddenly.
Nor had it ever entertained even the slightest possibility that it could die at the hands of such an inferior species in a battle he had only thought of as a hunting game.
Yet that was exactly what had happened.
It had been caught off guard by Ethan’s sudden, reckless attack.
The human’s actions had seemed almost suicidal, bordering on the desperate mentality of taking his enemy down with him.
Trozon couldn’t understand why Ethan had suddenly adopted such a foolish and seemingly self-destructive strategy.
After all, Ethan had willingly allowed himself to be injured simply to keep the creature within his grasp.
It was precisely that recklessness that had allowed him to catch it.
