Third Person’s POV

Both women had wondered countless times why they had been thrown into such a dangerous situation the moment they entered the Glaciem Ice Abyss.

They had barely arrived in this abandoned city before being immediately surrounded by these terrifying creatures.

They had originally been shocked to discover the abandoned city, but after spending enough time within it, they had quickly realized the horrifying truth.

The city wasn’t abandoned.

It was a nest.

An enormous nest filled with innumerable humanoid rabbit monsters.

And the most painful part was that they had finally confirmed that he was truly their Ethan when they had seen his reaction on seeing them for the first time.

At that moment, they had been filled with an unreal amount of happiness, but fate had separated them once again.

And now, they were trapped within the grasp of death itself.

Suddenly, a white blur shot out from the window of a ruined building directly ahead.

A monstrous rabbit jumped at them with its long ears whipping backward from the momentum as crimson light began gathering around its sharp claws.

Its serrated mouth opened wide, and thick strands of saliva fell from its jaws as it lunged toward Aurelia.

Aurelia’s expression became serious, and she immediately raised her hand.

A sharp wind blade shot forward and sliced toward the incoming monster.

However, the rabbit’s crimson eyes flashed, and its claw suddenly moved.

Clang!

The wind blade was struck directly by its claw and was sliced into two before dispersing into scattered wind element mana.

Aurelia’s expression changed slightly, but before the rabbit could take advantage of that opening, Eleanor’s head moved towards it,

She tightly gripped the long purple spear in her hands and pointed its tip directly toward the approaching monster.

A concentrated purple glow immediately gathered at the spearhead.

The rabbit barely had time to react, as a thin purple ray shot forward from the spearhead.

Pssh!

The ray pierced directly through its chest and entered its heart.

The monster’s body abruptly froze in midair.

Before it could even make another sound, purple frost began spreading from the hole in its chest, rapidly invading its body and freezing its heart and internal organs.

The monstrous rabbit crashed onto the ground, completely lifeless.

Eleanor didn’t even spare its corpse another glance.

"Hurry. We don’t have time."

Aurelia nodded immediately.

The two continued running.

During the following journey, several more monstrous rabbits repeatedly attempted to ambush them from the ruined buildings and narrow streets.

Yet every time one appeared, Eleanor’s purple spear would flash.

A thin purple ray would pierce through the monster before the cold power contained within it completely destroyed its internal organs.

The purple ray was named Winterpiercer, one of Eleanor’s signature spells.

Aurelia couldn’t help feeling surprised as she watched Eleanor’s precise and decisive movements.

She had always known that Eleanor was powerful, but she had never truly understood just how experienced she was in actual combat.

There was no unnecessary movement or hesitation in her attacks.

Every attack was aimed at killing the enemy as quickly as possible.

After witnessing Eleanor’s fighting style several times, Aurelia couldn’t help feeling a deeper sense of admiration toward her.

They didn’t know how much time had passed, but they could finally see the end of the ruined city that appeared in the distance.

Beyond the last row of abandoned buildings stretched an endless expanse of frozen plains.

The sight immediately brought a faint smile to both women’s faces, as this meant that they were finally getting out of this strange, accursed city.

And since this city was most likely the den and territory of these bloodcrazed rabbits, they would not follow them outside into the endless snow plains.

A sliver of hope appeared in their exhausted eyes.

But just as they were about to reach the edge of the city, a gigantic shadow suddenly descended from the sky.

BOOM!

The ground trembled violently, and a powerful shockwave swept outward, throwing Eleanor and Aurelia backward.

Both women hurriedly stabilized themselves before looking toward the source of the disturbance.

Their expressions immediately changed, from fear to apprehension and cautiousness.

The countless rabbit monsters that had been chasing them had suddenly stopped.

Not one of them continued forward.

The bloodthirsty hunger that had filled their crimson eyes only moments ago had completely disappeared.

Instead, fear had replaced it, and the monstrous rabbits slowly lowered their heads.

Then, one after another, they closed their serrated mouths and knelt upon the frozen ground.

Eleanor’s pupils contracted, and Aurelia’s breathing also stopped for a moment.

Even the monsters that had relentlessly chased them were afraid of whatever had just appeared.

The dust and loose ice gradually settled, and a massive humanoid figure slowly emerged from within the cloud.

It stood nearly ten meters tall.

Its body possessed the thick, powerful build of a monstrous sheep, while a pair of enormous goat-like horns curved outward from the sides of its head.

A sinister and greedy smile spread across its face as it looked toward the two women.

Unlike the other monsters, it wasn’t naked or covered merely in fur.

It wore a peculiar woolen hunting outfit that looked almost absurdly civilized compared to its monstrous appearance.

Two large bone blades hung from its waist, as its yellowish horizontal slit pupils slowly swept over Eleanor and Aurelia.

The smile on its face widened.

Behind it, hundreds of rabbit monsters remained kneeling silently.

For the first time since entering the Glaciem Ice Abyss, the two women felt a different kind of fear.

The rabbits had been terrifying, but whatever this sheep-like monster was, it was clearly the creature they feared.

Suddenly, the goat-headed demonic creature moved its claw-like hands to its sides and began speaking in a strange language that made Eleanor and Aurelia instinctively uncomfortable just on hearing it.

"Et rgt hkkuu fsdf kmene, jieieieieieie...."

Neither of them understood even a single word of the demonic creature.

The strange language sounded harsh and distorted, as though the creature’s throat wasn’t meant to produce human speech in the first place.
