Chapter 1329 - 1177: Firestone
Chapter 1329: Chapter 1177: Firestone
But looking at all these bizarrely shaped things, Lin Yi couldn’t help feeling a bit torn between laughing and crying.
He’d even already figured out the nature of quite a few of the containers—he was pretty sure a large portion of them were chamber pots.
Even though right now they didn’t know what a "chamber pot" was, and had no concept of a specialized night pot, you couldn’t deny that many of these had that strange kind of water stain on them.
He didn’t even need to think to know what these things were used for, and on top of that they were giving off a strong smell that actually made Lin Yi a little nauseous.
But there was nothing he could do; they’d already taken them out, and were staring at him with eager, hopeful eyes, which left Lin Yi not knowing what to do for a moment.
Seeing this, he could only shake his head helplessly, then wave his hand at everyone, signaling them to take all these things back where they came from.
Now he’d figured it out: relying on these people to find containers was way too hard. If he kept letting them bring things over, he’d probably be vomiting in the next second.
So, under everyone’s bewildered gaze, Lin Yi simply swung his arm, and in the next moment, a bunch of perfectly clean white plastic buckets appeared right in front of them.
You could say the appearance of these plastic buckets instantly stunned everyone on the spot, and the reason was simple: plastic didn’t exist yet in this era.
On top of that, all the buckets were almost exactly the same size, and the material looked so clean, so clear and glossy, that they had no idea what this stuff even was; it had to be Magical Artifacts used by an Immortal, right?
With that thought, they immediately went "thump, thump" and dropped to their knees all over again, praying to Lin Yi while kowtowing.
By this point Lin Yi was already kind of numb to the scene; these people seemed to kneel to him at the drop of a hat, and there was nothing he could do about that.
He didn’t say anything more about it, just shook his head and ignored them. Then he raised his hand again, and in the next instant those big buckets were suddenly filled to the brim with water.
This wasn’t some kind of Magic, but an ability Lin Yi actually, truly possessed.
With the System Space, as long as he moved his mind, objects would appear anywhere he wished along with his thoughts. Take these buckets, for example: even with a layer separating them, Lin Yi could casually put water into them.
Just from this one trick, Lin Yi had even thought that if he opened a magic theater or went on stage to perform, he’d absolutely become a top-tier Magician.
No one else could pull things out of thin air across a distance like this—only him. Any physical barrier was a non-issue; as long as he knew what was inside, a single thought would move whatever was in there into his System Space, and then with another casual gesture, it could appear wherever he wanted it to. This was a technique that simply didn’t exist in the world right now, something no Magician could ever pull off.
It was just like that saying: this wasn’t magic tricks, it was Magic.
But in the next moment, seeing the big water buckets in front of them, they all started scratching their heads in confusion. After all, they’d never seen anything like this before, never encountered this sort of thing, so they had absolutely no idea how to use it.
For the time being, they could see there seemed to be water flowing inside, but they didn’t know how to get the water out, and that naturally made them anxious.
Especially the bolder kids, who were staring over in curiosity, their eyes not even blinking. Watching their expressions and listening to their muttered whispers, Lin Yi just laughed and shook his head.
He then walked over to the buckets, put one hand on a faucet, and said to everyone:
"See this part here? You just need to nudge it lightly, and water will come out. I’m leaving this for you to use from now on."
As he spoke, Lin Yi flicked his finger, and a stream of water immediately flowed out of the faucet. But that one move practically broke their hearts—seeing the water pour straight onto the ground, someone immediately wanted to rush over to catch it.
Just then, Lin Yi turned the faucet off again. Only when they saw this did everyone finally relax a little, though when their eyes fell on the puddle of wasted water on the ground, they couldn’t help swallowing hard; the pain in their gaze needed no explanation.
Lin Yi was helpless in the face of this, and there was nothing he could do to change how they thought.
After all, these people had been living like this since they were born; water resources were far too precious for them. Where did their daily water even come from?
Aside from what the heavens provided, they could only extract it from plants—just like that plate of food they’d served Lin Yi before.
Taking in the situation around him, Lin Yi didn’t try to draw out any more water. What was already there should be enough to last them for quite a while.
