Return of the Mythic Bloodline
Chapter 640: The Peace Talks
Draped in a silken pink robe that covered her from head to toe, Gumiho entered the hall, closely followed by Riksharaja, Vyaghra, and Mriga.
Her sweet allure immediately filled the grand room, followed by the suppressive pressure naturally radiating from her presence. She wasn’t even using her Soulforce to appear charming or intimidating. It was the very world resonating with her that produced such effects.
Felix’s magenta draconic eyes remained fixed on her heavenly figure. Even though she was covered from head to toe, just by the way she carried herself, he could tell that the rumors of her being the most beautiful woman in Vyoman were not exaggerated at all.
Even Vincent, who was into older women, felt himself charmed by her presence. For a moment, he thought if it was truly worth it to trade her for Almighty Sovereign’s blood.
The elders of the Neige and Floraisan Clans also raised their eyes, unable to help but take a glance at her.
From the other side, Mriga and Riksharaja were equally stunned.
‘T-the dragons!?’ Riksharaja gasped inwardly as he saw the undeniable draconic traits on the people present in the hall.
They had only reached a few feet inside the hall when both Riksharaja and Mriga knelt simultaneously.
“Greetings, Your Lordships!”
Gumiho looked at them with mild surprise in her eyes. She was their goddess, and even for her, it took some effort to make them submit to her, yet the two Sacred Beasts were paying such respects to these people with strange traits.
Their horns looked like the traits of demons, but the wings on their backs and the scales on their arms told a different story.
As Vyoman’s Supreme Existence, Gumiho possessed the ability to suppress any being in this world. Yet, just by looking at them, she could sense that her suppressive pressure would have no effect on them. It was as if they didn’t even belong to this world.
Not to mention, all of them were exceptionally powerful. The white-haired man with a long chin beard and the crimson-haired young man were as powerful as her.
As for the four elderly men sitting imposingly on the chairs on the side of the hall, she couldn’t even gauge the depths of their cultivation realms.
‘Who could these people be?’ Gumiho murmured inwardly, feeling a bit tense. She had observed nearly every continent while cultivating the World Seed and had never seen people with these traits anywhere.
It only led to one conclusion. They were from the Upper Realm.
‘Do they belong to the same race as the benefactor who saved me from Soulforce Deviation twelve years ago?’ she asked Vyaghra through the Distance Whispering Technique.
‘Yes, Your Majesty,’ Vyaghra’s response came immediately, a hint of surprise in his voice. ‘They are dragons. The race that rules over the Vyoman.’
He knew exactly who they were and how terrifying their power was, especially if even his father feared them. Still, he didn’t kneel, standing defiantly with his head raised. His loyalty belonged to Gumiho.
Gumiho’s vertical slit pupils shifted to Vincent and Felix again, a hint of curiosity and… gratitude mixed within them.
‘Vyaghra, is the benefactor among them?’
‘No, Your Majesty,’ Vyaghra’s respectful voice echoed in her mind.
She slowly blinked, the gratitude vanishing from her eyes.
‘Since they are the benefactor’s kin, I shall treat them with proper respect,’ she decided inwardly before speaking.
“Greetings, dragons from the Upper Realm.”
Her soft voice fell like music to Felix’s ears, causing him to shift in his seat.
Vincent frowned. How dare she not kneel when she knew who they were? The elders from the Neige Clan were about to release their pressure to punish her for this disrespect when Felix rose from his seat and said with a respectful bow befitting a noble, “Greetings, Goddess of All Beasts, Lady Gumiho.”
Vincent’s brows twitched at Felix’s sudden respectful behavior. But again, knowing his kinks, he merely released a sigh inwardly and decided to play along. The Neige Clan elders also relaxed themselves, seeing that their Young Masters didn’t mind the disrespect.
Felix’s eyes shifted to the Sacred Beasts kneeling behind her as he continued, his tone gentle and friendly.
“Please rise, Sacred Beasts. You shouldn’t kneel to anyone else when you serve the Gumiho.”
His magenta eyes warmly looked at Gumiho.
“You are disrespecting her.”
Both Riksharaja and Mriga were taken aback by Felix’s strangely respectful demeanor. They had only heard of the dragons from their ancestors. What their elders had told them was…
Never offend a dragon.
Show them the respect as if you were serving the heavens themselves.
These mighty creatures possessed the power to wipe out entire civilizations with nothing but a whim.
But now, after seeing them personally, it seemed like those were just exaggerated rumors. No being would be so cruel and petty as to kill millions of people just because they felt like doing so.
Mriga and Riksharaja straightened themselves.
With a sway of Felix’s hand, four more seats appeared in the hall along the side walls.
“Please take a seat,” Felix said, pointing his arm toward the seats on both sides.
Gumiho and Vyaghra took the seats on one side, beside the elders of the two clans, while Riksharaja and Mriga sat beside the so-called War Marshals of the human army.
Riksharaja glanced at Jae Hyun on his left, his sleeve hanging freely at his side. He seemed nothing like the intimidating Demi-God he used to be.
‘Her Majesty has really injured him beyond recovery,’ Riksharaja gasped inwardly, giving him a mocking scoff.
Jae Hyun merely tightened his jaw in response. Offended as he was, he didn’t have the guts to create a scene in front of the dragons.
Now that everyone was settled, Felix began in the same friendly tone.
“I received the news that you came here for the peace talks with the humans. You intend to create an alliance with them and are even willing to share the Lingtian Mountains with them.”
Vincent’s white eyes widened.
‘Th-this bastard,’ he muttered inwardly, his grip tightening on the armrest. ‘So he is already aware of the Lingtian Mountains.’
Felix’s smile only deepened, knowing what kind of face Vincent was making without even looking at him.
“Yes, I wish to end this meaningless war.”
Gumiho’s soft voice almost caused Felix’s desire to show on his face. He barely managed to keep his composure.
Gumiho’s eyes narrowed at the two dragons as she continued, “Could I ask why dragons are supporting the humans in this war?”
