Chapter 743: Chapter 743: Discovering the Conspiracy 4
’That idiot. He’s still running a fever, and now he’s hurting himself like this.’
And it was all because of her. Annabelle Linton’s tears wouldn’t stop falling.
Leona Grant was drinking mindlessly when a hand suddenly patted him lightly on the back.
"Leona, stop drinking. You can’t keep going like this. Please, stop..."
Leona Grant looked up at her, stunned for a moment. Then, he shoved her away with brute force and couldn’t help but roar, "Go! Just go! Isn’t Aaron Wyatt the only one in your heart? What are you doing back here? Go! I don’t need your pity!"
Hearing his words from a distance, Annabelle Linton felt as if her heart were being torn to shreds.
The tears streamed down her face again. She wiped at them frantically, but they just wouldn’t stop.
Vivian Yates watched Leona Grant, and a triumphant glint flashed in her eyes.
’I dressed up to look just like Annabelle Linton today. Plus, Annabelle Ainsworth already resembles Annabelle Linton, and now Leona Grant is drunk. It seems he’s really mistaken me for her.’
’This is a golden opportunity. I have to make my move tonight and get pregnant with Leona Grant’s child. That would mean my mission is more than halfway done...’
Vivian Yates gently wrapped her arms around his waist and said anxiously, "Leona, you’ve misunderstood me. I love you. I’ve always loved you. I’ll never leave you again. Please, forgive me this one time, okay? Let’s be together from now on."
Leona Grant snapped his head toward her, shot to his feet, and grabbed her shoulders forcefully. His eyes glittered with hope as he demanded, "What did you say? Say that again!"
Vivian Yates looked at him with determination and said, "I said, I’ll never leave you again. Never!"
Leona Grant pulled her into a fierce hug, his voice trembling with emotion. "Annabelle Linton, you said it yourself. You said you wouldn’t leave me. I don’t care if you’re telling the truth or lying this time, I am never letting you go again. Understand?"
Hugging him back, Vivian Yates stood on her tiptoes and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I understand, I understand everything," she said shyly. "I’ll never leave you again!"
’In the future, Annabelle Linton will leave you, but I won’t.’
’After she’s dead, I’ll get plastic surgery to look just like her. Then we can be together forever. HAHAHA.’
Annabelle Linton stood in the distance, watching the scene unfold, watching their every interaction. Tears streamed endlessly down her face, yet she couldn’t utter a single word.
’Leona Grant, that’s not me! That’s Vivian Yates! Please, don’t mistake her for me, okay?’
’I’m Annabelle Linton... push Vivian Yates away, please?’
But in the end, Annabelle Linton’s hopes were dashed.
Leona Grant suddenly swept Vivian Yates into his arms and started toward a private room upstairs. "Remember what you just said!" he said with a devilish smirk. "Tonight, I’m going to give you a night you’ll never forget!"
Blushing, Vivian Yates burrowed into his embrace, averting her gaze.
But in that instant, her gaze met Annabelle Linton’s tear-filled eyes, and a sharp thrill of pleasure shot straight to her heart.
’So satisfying. This is absolutely amazing!’
’Annabelle Linton must have seen that!’
’Seriously, in my entire life, nothing has ever felt this good!’
And so, Annabelle Linton could only watch with wide eyes as Leona Grant carried Vivian Yates upstairs, unable to utter a single word.
She thought it would be enough as long as Leona Grant was alive, as long as he was living well in this world. But it seemed she wasn’t as magnanimous as she had imagined, nor as noble.
Seeing Leona Grant carry Vivian Yates upstairs, and hearing what he’d just said, she knew exactly what he was about to do.
Every time he said those words, he would have his way with her until the middle of the night...
