Chapter 1154: Chapter 1181:

Nianyang covered her mouth and laughed quietly, "Big brother, hold back a bit, your eyes are about to pop out. Nuannuan is already your little wife, you can take your time looking at her when you get home tonight."

Chu Zhan touched the back of his head, not shy at all, and held Shi Nuan’s hand tenderly, "Nuannuan, you look so beautiful in a dress. I’ll buy you a truckload of dresses to wear for me, okay."

"Okay."

Shi Nuan touched the hem of her dress, never feeling so satisfied and happy before, thinking that once she grew her hair longer, everything would be perfect.

Watching these two being so lovey-dovey, Nianyang felt a bit sour inside. If Li Tingyan were here, she wouldn’t have to envy others.

Before setting out to the civil affairs bureau, Nianyang received a call from Ma Shu saying several guests requested emergency treatment at Tongxin Hall with life-threatening issues, so Nianyang had to go there first and let her parents and grandfather accompany the pair to get their certificate.

Upon arriving at Tongxin Hall, Ma Shu pulled Nianyang aside and said,

"Nianyang girl, there are three patients in the emergency area, and their symptoms seem very mysterious. I can’t figure out the cause, can you?"

With curiosity, Nianyang went to the emergency area and directly sat in front of the three patients, asking a few simple questions.

The reactions of these three patients clearly involved different illnesses, yet astoundingly, they all had the same pattern of episodes.

Nianyang took their pulse, discovering that their pulse patterns were somewhat complicated, and she couldn’t immediately discern the reason.

Upon deeper questioning, she realized that these three patients initially treated their ailments at Divine Doctor Hall.

The first patient initially just had a cough, took several doses of medicine from Divine Doctor Hall and was immediately cured.

But within a few days, she started having a runny nose, then went again to get medicine, which fixed her nose but then her heart started to ache. This was cured, but another ailment emerged, repeatedly not getting better.

The other two patients experienced similar patterns, healing one illness only to trigger another, always unending.

Nianyang frowned slightly, drew their blood for examination, and then discovered a shocking truth.

Nianyang frowned and said, "Your illnesses have now affected your organs, and you need to go to a Western medicine hospital for surgery."

These patients, all relatively older middle-aged women, turned pale at the mention of surgery.

"Doctor, we only have minor illnesses, how did it come to this needing surgery?"

Nianyang patiently explained, "Initially, your illnesses were indeed minor, but you repeatedly took too much medication.

Most doctors use medicine to treat ailments, often making a common mistake by only addressing the ailment they’re responsible for, neglecting any harm caused to other organs beyond their jurisdiction.

Thus, treating headaches with headache pills and sore feet with foot remedies continually can lead to full-body deterioration, as the side effects of the medication used for treatment evoke other ailments."

The three patients, terrified, trembled as they spoke,

"How can this happen? Aren’t you a doctor? Aren’t you supposed to perform miracles? How can you not fix these minor ailments of ours?"

Nianyang replied, "If you had come to me in the first place, I could have cured the illness with medicine, but you’ve already used Divine Doctor Hall’s medicine. They’ve been treating only the visible symptoms of your illnesses, not the root cause, which leaves the root problem unresolved, causing your conditions to worsen.

Now your illnesses have spread to the organs, and these are no longer minor ailments. Only surgery can cure them; I can’t treat this."
