Chapter 554: Vanquishing Hideout

Amidst Xu Feng's lies, Allison held an unamused expression.

"Stop lying. An Arcane Mage's presence is different." She said and began pointing out that she had checked on each class for some research.

Therefore, she was able to distinguish between some of the classes, especially the Mage Class. Sorcerers, Summoners, Arcane Mages, and Clerics might utilize the same equipment, but there was a difference in each of them.

And that was their presence. It was hard to describe it precisely on the spot, but Allison was positive that Xu Feng's presence only resembled that of a Cleric.

"Alright, we should start getting you ready." Xu Feng quickly shifted the topic.

He might have agreed to tutor her, but never once did he agree to babysit her completely. He was definitely going to force her to power level up and overload her with information at once.

Since she was a professor, it was only natural for her comprehension skills to be superior to the average player.

Thus, he wasn't going to treat her like an actual amateur player.

"Have you accepted any of the NPCs' quests?" He quickly began off with the basic question.

Most newbies when joining any game would usually start accepting as many quests as they found in the beginning. But that was a mistake, considering only some of them were significant while the rest were pointless and a waste of time.

"Ah, I did accept a quest. It's called Vanquishing Hideout!" Allison clasped her hands and began sharing the quest details with him.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng was startled and somewhat confused by the questline.

'Vanquishing Hideout? When did the beginner town have such a quest?' He furrowed his brows and browsed through the quest detail.

Although Xu Feng was not one to brag, he did memorize most of the beginner quests, and not once had he heard of such a quest before.

What was worse was that the rewards were actually decent and gave an abundant amount of experience points. In fact, this quest could be considered one of the top for a new player to accept.

"Where did you accept this quest and who did you accept it from?" Xu Feng asked curiously.

"In the Town Hall." Unaware of Xu Feng's current thought process, Allison pointed at her back and said she accepted it from a woman.

"She was quite fierce to the male players though when I approached her." She continued, recalling the previous encounter to be quite abnormal.

When she made her character, she didn't outright message Xu Feng but rather explored the town herself. During her exploration, she stumbled toward the Town hall and was quite lost in the atmosphere.

It was at that moment that she suddenly saw a male player being sent flying across the Town Hall, astonishing her. And when the NPC woman turned their gaze at her, Allison wondered if she was going to be unlucky to get her first death within the town.

But much to her surprise, the NPC woman became gentle and apologized for the sight. After a back-and-forth conversation, she even handed her a mission, stating that she could investigate some clues and report back to her.

"Fierce to male players huh." After listening to Allison's story, Xu Feng was more confused than before.

At first, he thought it was Sandy, but causing a male player to fly across the lobby was definitely not something she would do.

'Did they hire a new NPC?' Curious, Xu Feng might as well suggest they enter the Town Hall first to take a closer look at this supposedly fierce woman.

"I suggest you not approach her too closely." Allison suddenly warned. "She's only nice to female players. The male players won't get any quests and would be sent flying half across the lobby if they don't get out of the way in time."

Without Sandy's assistance and her connection with Herbalist Elias, Xu Feng might have to waste a lot of time to gain enough capital to start up his guild.

Sometime later, the two entered the Town Hall lobby, and the first thing Xu Feng saw was a player being sent flying right at him.

Without hesitation, Xu Feng activated Nether Blast and struck the player.

The player became no different than a ping pong ball, as they got sent flying back to where they came from.

"Was that a home run?" Allison murmured, her hand hovering above her forehead, squinting slightly as she looked at the player who'd just been sent flying.

"I think it was." He nodded, having made sure the blast was enough to nullify the force that the player was coming straight at him. Usually, he would simply sidestep and dodge, but if he had done so, then Allison would have been the one to receive the damage.

He highly doubted she had a fast reaction time when she had just started the Divine World.

"We should probably take another step here." He then dragged Allison to the side.

Sure enough, the very next moment, the same player who got sent flying across by his Nether Blast, returned— this time with another fierce tone.

"How dare you come back again! The next time I see you, I'll personally have you detained in the Town's prison."

As that voice echoed through the Town Hall Lobby, the player finally crashed down near the entrance door, their eyes spinning spirally. Without a doubt, their health points should have been abysmally low by now.

While the player could barely get up and leave with a sulking expression, Allison turned to Xu Feng and asked. "Would it have counted as your kill if he died earlier?"

Xu Feng shrugged. "Probably, but I don't care."

NPC killing players wouldn't have consequences, given they would rarely strike against them unless provoked to the extreme or they were just too powerful, to begin with, to be restricted by the law.

That was just how the world worked, designed by the Divine World System.
