Chapter 517: Boss’s Drop Loots?
Chapter 517: Boss’s Drop Loots?
Shortly after Xu Feng regrouped with Carmen and announced a gathering, the rest were still stuck in the process that they had to deal with a looming dangerous Sentinel.
After all, the outcome was too surreal and unbelievable for anyone to actually believe a big boss could fall to their death?
"I still find it baffling that we succeeded in the raid." One player among the crowd who had gathered up from Xu Feng's command, murmured.
"You don't say, but hey, I'm not going to complain." Another chimed in.
While they were discussing the matters, only Gentle Wind had her brows furrowed, seemingly in deep thought.
"What's the matter, Wind?" Autumn Breeze asked in concern.
"Haven't you noticed something was amiss?" Gentle Wind pursed her lips and responded.
"What was amiss here?"
"The boss drops loot."
The moment Gentle Wind brought up the topic of the drop loot, almost everyone's attention and focus shifted.
"Right, where's the boss drops loot?"
"It can't be that it fell alongside in the bottom of the abyss?"
As everyone began to realize all their hard work had come to naught, Xu Feng cleared his throat loudly.
"Ahem, I'm sure everyone must be curious about the boss' loot." Xu Feng exclaimed, and the atmosphere turned deadly quiet, with none daring to interrupt his speech.
Taking a glance at the surroundings, he nodded and continued, "Some of you might have guessed that the boss's drop loot had fallen into the abyss…and you would be right. The Sentinel was too much for our current team to kill, so I wanted to isolate it and play the long game. Unfortunately, my pet, Flint here, found a loophole, and managed to slay the Sentinel."
Once he said that, Flint, who had been hiding behind Xu Feng, appeared in front of everyone. It chirped merrily while shooting a bunch of molten rock to display its strength.
The molten rock flew toward the walls at a rapid pace, and a loud collision echoed through the room a few seconds later.
The wall cracked and began showing signs of collapsing, indirectly informing the rest about Flint's power. Most of them had their mouths left agape by the sheer and brute force.
They whispered among themselves, wondering if they could deflect or receive that kind of damage without much penalty.
And all of them knew that such damage was equivalent to a strike from the Sentinel, meaning they would most likely lose their equipment in the process.
"Sigh, how lucky is the Raid Leader?"
"If I had half of his wits or strategy, then I would have been promoted in my guild."
"Just keep dreaming when you sleep tonight. You, who can't even tell the left or right direction, want to be a strategist? I'm afraid you would send them all on a suicide mission."
"Well, yeah? At least my bad sense of direction still got me a girlfriend. And what about you, single man? Still using your right or left hand?"
"..."
The verbal argument between members started to intensify, but before it could erupt into chaos, Carmen outright summoned her Elementalist and hovered before them.
The duo who was about to get into a fight, paused their actions immediately.
"Go on, keep talking." Carmen urged them. "I promise my Elementalist won't hurt you at all. When getting one-shotted, who could feel any damage, right?"
Stunned, the duo didn't even dare to make a sound, much less move an inch from their position.
"Okay, that's enough Lunar Wraith." Xu Feng raised his hand and stopped her action. "Everyone here has worked hard and contributed to the overall raid. It's natural that some are reluctant or even frustrated to realize they didn't have any loot in response."
"But Raid Leader…" Carmen knitted her brows and somewhat pouted.
"That's enough." Xu Feng coughed and gently pulled her to the back.
He then stepped forward and announced, "Due to the mishaps, everyone here shall receive 1000 Raid Points and they can be converted as in-game currency from the Vanguard Hotel. 1 Raid Point equals 1 Copper Coin, so if you wish to exchange, then you are free to do so. But keep in mind, our upcoming auction would have the Raid Points be equivalent to 3 Copper Coins instead of 1."
Almost immediately after the announcement, the crowd went bonkers at Xu Feng's declaration.
If they were to save their Raid Points for the upcoming auction of the Elemental Warrior Set, then their 1 Raid Point equals 3 Copper Coins.
Just who could outbid them aside from those who participated in this raid?
"All hail the Raid Leader!"
"Raid Leader is indeed the most generous and fairest of them all!"
Without needing to exert much effort, the crowd quickly forgot about the loss of the boss's drop loot and cheered for Xu Feng's generosity.
What the eyes had never seen, their heart could never bleed.
Since they never knew what the boss drop loot was, it was safe to say that nobody benefited or lost out on it if the loot was distributed internally.
Not to mention, the method of finding this raid could be studied. By then, they could form their own elite raid team to do the dungeon themselves without Xu Feng.
One attempt won't work? Then two attempts? If it still doesn't, then they shall continue until they actually succeed.
At the end of the day, Xu Feng can't possibly hoard the dungeon for himself.
Otherwise, he would really become the public enemy of everyone, and they doubted Xu Feng would be that foolish to commit such a move, giving the Reaver Guild an opportunity to remove them from the Divine World.

Greed flashed upon their eyes, and Xu Feng was more than pleased to see how easily manipulated they were.
'The boss didn't drop any loot? No, people, it's just that I have hoarded them all for myself already. You guys can just have the scraps left over while wasting your time pointlessly raiding without proper strategy and guidance.' Xu Feng mused inwardly.
Just the imagination of them wasting all their time while he secretly improved his strength and Vanguard Guild's overall standings made him grin from ear to ear.
