Chapter 498: Boss Room

Confused by Zhao Kai's subtle meaning, Zhao Xin knew it was hopeless trying to get some information from him.

"I really fed you for naught." Zhao Xin clicked her tongue and glared at Zhao Kai.

"Don't be like that." Zhao Kai pursed his lips and whispered, "You should make a bet too. Bet on the success rate and earn big,"

"You think we can really succeed in one attempt?"

"Definitely, so why don't you use this opportunity to earn some funds back?"

A sly grin quickly appeared on Zhao Xin's face when she heard that.

"Damn this Lin Feng!" Emberwolf instantly erupted in rage.

Despite dying and turning into a ghost-like form, he still stayed because he wanted to see what the raid was about.

Additionally, he wasn't going to give up his rewards, given that even in death, they will still receive experience points. Not to mention, they should be eligible for the drop loot.

"What should we do now?" Emberwolf's subordinate, Hunter Rick asked in an anxious tone. "We can't even watch how the raid would be done."

Since they were still within the raid, without much access to their system interface, they couldn't go to the stream and watch the upcoming boss battle.

Meanwhile, Emberwolf's rage was already near its peak, and upon hearing his traitorous subordinate asking a question that he could not answer, he found his free punching bag.

"Get over here!" Emberwolf demanded, much to the fear-stricken Hunter Rick.

While Emberwolf went on a rampage within the dark room, the other ghost-like forms simply remained silent, clearly in despair and having zero energy to even curse at Xu Feng.

As this was occurring, the other living members were stupefied by Xu Feng's announcement. However, none dared to voice anything regarding his actions.

Who wouldn't be furious at saboteurs if they were the ones in charge of a raid?

Naturally, the viewers in the stream were in agreement with Xu Feng's action, albeit with some wanting to call Xu Feng petty, but were quickly submerged by many more.

"Anyway, once we enter the boss room, I expect complete compliance with my order." Xu Feng announced loudly, his voice stern and cold.

A few minutes later, Xu Feng properly arranged the necessary classes in their respective positions and heavily emphasized to not get split off.

"The tanks will move up ahead, with Shadow Blade and Ardent Lance taking the lead. The rest are to follow in an orderly manner and I'll remain behind." Xu Feng commanded, purposely being the last one to enter the Boss Room.

That way, no one could attempt anything funny, given the raid condition had the Timed Gate.

With the Timed Gated active, doors to the final boss only remain open for 60 seconds after unlocking. Failing to reach in time forced all players to restart from the beginning.

The dead players aren't counted, but if even one live player failed to enter in time, the whole raid would be restarted. This was the most treacherous and annoying condition at a raid.

The Divine World specifically constructed such conditions to ensure the raiders are all in one mind, with high communication between others.

With that knowledge in mind, everyone soon began to enter the Boss Room, with the system counting down with a timer.

As the countdown began, Xu Feng's eyes were scanning everyone. Anyone that dares to sabotage or troll around, would be instantly killed by Flint.

He was not kidding when he gave out the command.

Thankfully, there wasn't a need for Xu Feng to actually make a move. These players were more scared than him to try anything funny at this particular moment.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Xu Feng soon entered the Boss Room, effectively closing the passage behind which crumbled into nothingness. There was no path of retreat anymore unless they got a team wiped out.

Once everyone was inside, Xu Feng's cold voice echoed again, "Nobody makes a random move. The Boss Room is in an entirely different dimension, so even the structure is tricky."

The floor was a mix of solid stone and dangerous gaps, shifting constantly as parts collapsed without warning. Just like Xu Feng had warned, unaware or confused players could easily drop into the pits below and die instantly.

Aside from that, there were also old mechanisms hidden beneath the Boss Room that would activate, sometimes plunging the room into sudden darkness.

This extreme darkness would leave players confused and vulnerable to deadly traps like hidden spikes, darts, and swinging blades.

However, that wasn't even the most dangerous part.

Near the far end of the room, stood the Golem Sentinel, a massive figure made of stone and metal, its eyes glowing with an eerie light.

Elite enemies surrounded the room, their stone bodies glowing with extra power from the fortress's magic.

"Don't be overwhelmed by the environment and atmosphere. As long as you keep calm and listen to my command, we can breeze through this." Xu Feng's authoritative and cool voice spread throughout the room.
