Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1134: Master of Void

Chapter 1134: Master of Void

’What is that black sphere?’ Farukas’ eyes widened in horror. He couldn’t comprehend how someone was able to control the power of the void in such a manner.

Wait a second?

The power of the void?

It can’t be that she’s the successor of that person, right?

As Farukas started to wonder about his opponent’s origin, he nearly became overwhelmed with fear.

Feeling the grave danger of the black sphere, Farukas finally panicked and crumbled under the pressure. Even though he wouldn’t die if killed in this state, the repercussions would still be tremendous.

Not only would he lose a majority of his strength, but he would also be in a jeopardized position once he returns to the Demon World.

"Hold up a second!" Farukas extended his palm and shouted. "We don’t have to fight anymore! I acknowledge your strength. Why don’t we all just call it a day, and we’ll go our separate ways?"

"You had a chance to flee previously." Carmen softly spoke. "Unfortunately, your ego is too big and you thought only you are Tier 2 amongst us. Arrogance yet extremely shameless are the types I despised the most."

Shortly after saying so, she hurled the black sphere forward.

The sphere expanded into a miniature singularity, warping the air as it pulled at the demon’s body.

"NOOOO! GET IT AWAY FROM ME!"

Farukas dug his claws into the ground, roaring desperately against the suction and the pull toward the sphere.

Chunks of rock started flying loose around him.

’Damn it!’ Farukas ultimately condensed and used some of his blood essence to forcefully increase his strength when he failed to resist the suction force.

His eyes soon glowed in a crimson light, but there was a visible change in his physical body. It bulged, and the muscles started to grow larger.

And with sheer brute force, plus the increased strength, he leapt sideways. The timing was close enough, barely escaping the collapse before it imploded in a thunderous shockwave, erasing everything it touched.

Smoke and dust filled the battlefield!

Meanwhile, Carmen’s silhouette stood unmoving with her staff raised. The summoned void beast regrouped at her side, flashing a disdainful gaze at the demon.

As the dust scattered briefly, Farukas emerged from the haze, a deep wound torn across his shoulder, ichor dripping like molten tar. His face turned pale from the damage sustained.

"A Voidmancer... It’s really the legendary Voidmancer’s power!"

His flaming aura weakened. Not to mention, the chains of shadows mixed with traces of the void attached to his body were constantly corroding him.

"Please have mercy, Master of Void!" Farukas went on his knees and pleaded.

"I was blind and didn’t know your presence here. Had I known you were present, I would have never answered the summoning call."

Carmen’s expression remained cool, her eyes glinting with cold determination despite Farukas’ pleading sight.

"If I were the one to falter, would you have given me mercy?" She calmly asked a question in response.

Although it was for a very brief moment, Farukas’ body jolted slightly before trying their best to remain motionless.

That small action alone had given the answer that Carmen was looking for.

The answer was a hard no!

Farukas was a Tier 2 Demon, dyed in constant blood and battle. There was no way they would show mercy to their opponents. The only thing they would do was ensure their opponents would never have an opportunity to come back and threaten their position.

Carmen was no longer the soft or naive woman. She raised her staff, preparing to launch a decisive spell.

"No, I will not die here!" Farukas gnashed his teeth. He ripped apart the chains and began to flee toward the summoning circle area. As long as he reactivated the circle and forcefully got pulled back to his world, he would be safe.

"How disappointing..." Carmen shook her head. She didn’t even bother chasing after Farukas.

Instead, she returned to Xu Feng’s side and asked, "So what do you think about my performance?"

Xu Feng looked at her before shifting his sight to the fleeing demon.

"Just remind me not to cross you." He calmly said. "I have no intention of being played this hard. A Tier 2 Demon was treated like a toy under your hands."

While Xu Feng finished his comment, Farukas’ eyes beamed in joy when he saw the circle was still pretty much intact.

’Yes, I’m freed!’ He thought to himself and sped up once again.

Swoosh!

He arrived at the circle and started to infuse his mana to trigger the activation.

Unfortunately, right when he infused some of his mana, the circle suddenly darkened. There was a mix of purple and dark hues, with traces of void converging toward his position.

Farukas’ pupils constricted, and his heart sank.

"Void Prison... when did she set it up?" He staggered a few steps, his eyes shifting to the faraway Carmen.

No wonder she didn’t chase or block his path!

He was already trapped from the start.

’I knew I shouldn’t have answered the calling!!!’ That was the final thought of the Tier 2 Demon.

Regrets filled his eyes as the prison began to shackle him. Soon, voidlings emerged from the portal.

"No, get it away from me!" Farukas cried aloud, but to no avail. His demonic aura was being sucked dry by the voidlings that attached themselves to him like some parasite. His power was draining, becoming precious nutrients for the voidlings.

As Farukas collapsed to the ground, he extended his hand outward, seemingly trying to beg for mercy from Carmen.

"I-I didn’t mean to offend you, Voidmancer..." They managed to utter them before succumbing to the voidlings. Flickers of particle lights were all that was left behind.

Sometime later, the Void Prison deactivated, leaving behind some of the drop loot.

’Master of Void.’ Xu Feng witnessed the entirety and realized Carmen’s growth was exponential. Her macro and micro control was near flawless, leaving little to no margin for errors.

"That was lukewarm, right?" Carmen clasped her hands. "For a Tier 2 Demon, the battle was quite one-sided and bland."
