Makoto added, "Pochi, Beam, and Ishigami will come with me to the 12th Division to secure the Quincies."

With that, Makoto paused, turning his gaze to Ulquiorra and Starrk. "I'll leave the dirty work to you two. Make some noise, draw everyone's attention. Sorry, but this job is better suited for speed types."

"I understand."

Ulquiorra replied calmly, already drawing his Zanpakuto from his waist.

Then, Ulquiorra gripped the hilt with one hand. Dark green Reiatsu frantically condensed on the blade, and he swung it toward the side of the Seireitei.

Wild green Reiatsu transformed into a massive sword energy that spanned the sky, slamming heavily into the protective barrier above the Seireitei.

That barrier, designed to repel large-scale Hollow invasions, trembled violently under this strike. Cracks spread crazily from the point of impact, and in an instant, a massive hole was blown open.

Shards of the barrier scattered like glass, dissolving into Reishi lights as they fell.

Instantly, the Seireitei, which had been blaring with alarms just hours ago, was once again filled with the piercing sound of sirens echoing through the night sky.

"Warning! Warning! Hollow attack detected! Location near the 2nd Division! Warning! Warning!"

Ulquiorra and Starrk simultaneously leaped down from the Garganta. Their figures passed through the still-smoking hole and landed lightly on the roof of the 2nd Division's barracks.

Ulquiorra's black wings slowly unfurled under the moonlight. Starrk yawned and casually waved his fingers in the air... Cero!

Explosions of fire lit up at various corners of the 2nd Division's barracks. The two began an indiscriminate attack on the surrounding buildings.

Walls were blasted apart. Roofs were torn off. Fire and smoke rose into the sky.

But they carefully controlled the angles and power of their attacks, focusing the destruction on the buildings themselves, not the people.

The 2nd Division's members immediately fought desperately to hold them back.

These highly trained covert operatives were all skilled, but against two self-Arrancarized Vasto Lorde, their attacks couldn't even touch the corners of their opponents' clothes.

However, Ulquiorra and Starrk merely glanced at these people during their clashes, choosing not to kill. They just fired at the ground near their feet, blasting up debris to force them back, then continued to rain fire on the empty buildings.

They kept causing chaos, making as much noise as possible, trying to draw the attention of the entire Seireitei.

"Let's move."

With Ulquiorra and Starrk successfully drawing everyone's attention, Makoto gave the order to his remaining subordinates.

The Gotei 13 clearly hadn't expected that Hollows would dare to launch a direct frontal assault on the Seireitei so openly.

And they had chosen the exact moment when so many Captains and Lieutenants were simultaneously out of commission.

Wasn't that too much of a coincidence?

Kisuke and Tessai, who had just been escorted into the Central 46's courtroom by the Onmitsukido, were immediately bombarded with questions before they could even get their bearings: "Have you allied with the Hollows?!"

Hearing this, Kisuke, who was already in a daze, was completely stunned.

'Could this be any more coincidental?'

Under these circumstances, Yamamoto had no mood for further meetings.

He immediately ordered his Lieutenant, Sasakibe Chojiro, to use Tenteikura to contact all available Captain-class combatants.

The communication network of Tenteikura quickly spread across the Seireitei. Sasakibe's instructions, transmitted through Reishi Waves, reached every corner... immediately contact 2nd Division's Captain, Shihoin Yoruichi, 10th Division's Lieutenant, Shiba Isshin, and 11th Division's Captain, Kiganjo Kenpachi.

The three Captain-class Shinigami were to proceed to the 2nd Division area for reinforcement immediately!

But when Isshin and Kiganjo rushed to the 2nd Division's barracks, they saw 2nd Division's members and Lieutenant Sui-Feng putting up a desperate resistance, using their Zanpakuto and Kido to block the two Vasto Lorde from advancing further.

But Captain Yoruichi was nowhere to be seen.

Isshin slashed apart a Cero flying toward Sui-Feng, and asked urgently, "Where's your Captain?"

Sui-Feng herself was equally confused and anxious: "I haven't seen Yoruichi-sama since earlier!"

She didn't dare to think of the worst-case scenario, but Yoruichi's disappearance at this time was far too abnormal, making her unease grow stronger.

Left with no choice, Isshin gritted his teeth and said to Kiganjo beside him, "There's no other way. Captain Kenpachi, we'll hold them off for now."

Kiganjo, a rough man who looked like a gorilla, lazily scratched his ear, drew his chipped Zanpakuto from his waist, and slung it over his shoulder, revealing a mouthful of crooked yellow teeth: "I've been bored lately. These two will do for entertainment."

On another front, Psykos, Nel, and Harribel, the three female Vasto Lorde, successfully infiltrated the territory of the Tsunayashiro Clan, one of the Four Great Noble Families.

Seeing these three women with distinctly Hollow features step through their front gate, the guards' eyes widened. "Hollows—?!"

Before they could get out a second word, Psykos activated her telekinesis.

Invisible force, like giant hands, crushed the guards and their weapons into meat paste from all directions.

Blood splattered against the Tsunayashiro Clan's white walls, glaringly bright under the moonlight.

Then Psykos strode inside the estate. Her white glasses reflected the candlelight, and a dangerous smile curled at her lips.

Facing the Shinigami surging from all directions, surrounding the three of them, she raised her chin slightly and said with an interrogative tone that brooked no refusal: "Where are the Soul King's fragments?"

At the third battlefield, Makoto brought his core subordinates to the Technology Development Bureau.

According to the intelligence provided by Aizen, during the Quincy Extermination War two hundred years ago, the captured Quincies had originally been imprisoned in a prison called the [Nest of Maggots].

That was the place where the Soul Society held its most dangerous prisoners, comparable to Impel Down in the One Piece World.

Not all those imprisoned had committed serious crimes. Many had simply possessed power too great and uncontrollable.

Kurotsuchi Mayuri, who had also been held in the Nest of Maggots, was one of them.

Although he hadn't committed any crimes, because his methods were too dangerous and unconstrained, he had been arbitrarily charged with a fabricated crime and locked up.

But some time ago, after Kisuke had pulled Mayuri out of the Nest of Maggots and appointed him deputy director of the Technology Development Bureau, the Quincies who had also been imprisoned there were secretly transferred into the Technology Development Bureau.

Most likely, that was Mayuri's own request.

Otherwise, where else could he have gotten so many Quincies as lab rats?

At this moment, inside the Technology Development Bureau.

Deputy Director, Kurotsuchi Mayuri, was conducting his research as usual.

He stood at the experimental table, holding a test tube containing a strange liquid in one hand and scratching his chin with the other, intently observing the color changes of the liquid inside.

Akon, the Fourth Seat of the 12th Division, hurried over and reported to Mayuri, "Deputy Director, the 2nd Division area has apparently been attacked by Menos Grandes. Intelligence from the front lines says they're Vasto Lorde-class. The Captain-Commander has dispatched Captain Shihoin Yoruichi, Captain Kiganjo Kenpachi, and Lieutenant Shiba Isshin to support."

Hearing the first part, Mayuri was utterly indifferent.

He had little loyalty to the Seireitei. He stayed only because it provided him with research space and materials.

But hearing the second part, especially the words 'Vasto Lorde', Mayuri's pupils suddenly lit up.

'A Vasto Lorde-class Menos Grande... I had never dissected one before.'

Mayuri revealed an almost morbidly excited smile, muttering to himself, "Those three might struggle against two Vasto Lorde, but they might manage to take one down. Once this is over, I'll apply to the Captain-Commander for the corpse as new research material."

Akon was shocked. "Now isn't the time for that, is it?"

Their Captain and Lieutenant were still missing, and this deputy director was already planning how to divide the spoils.

It felt like the entire Seireitei was about to undergo a major upheaval.

Boom—!

Just then, with a deafening crash, the door of the Technology Development Bureau was blasted open, leaving a massive hole.

Broken stones and twisted metal fragments flew into the room like a storm.

One of the flying stones hit Akon square on the forehead, knocking the Fourth Seat unconscious, his body collapsing stiffly to the ground.

Mayuri, however, reacted instantly at the first sign of the explosion.

"Bakudo #39, Enkosen!"

He created a circular semi-transparent shield with his Reiatsu, blocking all the incoming debris.

The stones hit the shield with a series of dull thuds before bouncing off and rolling on the ground.

Mayuri stared through the shield at the blasted hole, and asked coldly, "Who is it?"

Then, from the drifting smoke, he saw a figure walking in slowly.

When he saw the white bone mask on the other's head and a body indistinguishable from a normal human, Mayuri first showed undisguised excitement.

'A Vasto Lorde?!'

This was the experimental material he had been dreaming of!

But Mayuri's smile quickly faded.

Because he realized that the number of Vasto Lorde walking through that hole wasn't just one.

One, two, three... more and more figures emerged from the smoke, each with a normal human body, each radiating Reiatsu that made him instinctively shudder.

'What was going on?!'

'Weren't there supposed to be two causing trouble at the 2nd Division right now? Why were so many coming here?!'

"Someone's here, Senpai." Yu's gaze fell on Mayuri, and he turned to ask Makoto, "Should we kill him?"

Makoto instantly recognized the man with the pale makeup, exuding an eerie aura... Kurotsuchi Mayuri.

The corner of Makoto's mouth curled up into a meaningful smile. "How about joining us, Third Seat Kurotsuchi?"
