Chapter 1868: Welcoming Aquarina To The House

“E-Eh?! No way… that’s not fair!” Aquarina got angrier. “Ugh… fine. But is it really the way to train Alchemy Magic? And there’s no other way at all?”
“There are many ways, but cleaning dust is the simplest and yet the most taxing that doesn’t require any material,” I said. “Well, also just mass-producing stuff through alchemy, or practicing in an open field and modifying our surroundings, and so on, all those things work pretty well too.”
“Huh, I like the sound of that way more than just cleaning dust…” Aquarina groaned. “Well, whatever the case… I guess I’ll become your apprentice for the time being?”
“Hmph, I haven’t decided that yet, girl, you’ll have to first pass the test!” Master Felicia said. “And then we’ll see if you’re worthy of becoming my apprentice.”
“Really…” Aquarina looked a bit annoyed.
“It won’t be anything complicated,” I said. “Well, what will it be, master?”
“I’m still thinking about it… perhaps I’ll tell you tomorrow,” master Felicia said. “For now, I’m exhausted… I’ll go take a bath and then sleep in my cozy bed… Ahh, right… Allan can you show everyone their new rooms?”
“Sure,” my dad nodded.
And like that, Master Felicia walked away without saying another word. I guess she is really like a grandma sometimes, acting like that.
“Alright so Aquarina can have her own room, or you could choose to be with Sylphy,” my father said. “Even if you’re going to be together most of the time though, I would suggest a room for yourself Aquarina, so you can keep your stuff and you can always have a place to be alone if you need to focus on something without anyone annoying you.”
“Yeah, I mean we’re girlfriends and I wouldn’t mind sharing a room but dad’s not wrong,” I nodded. “We’ll show you your own room, how about it?”
“Eh, I guess that’s fine,” nodded Aquarina. “Perhaps to store stuff and sometimes to do my own things, I guess I’ll need some privacy, yeah.”
Seems like she didn’t oppose it, I really thought she would get super upset about it or something, but I was completely wrong, she was totally alright with the idea.
“Alright then, as for Nepheline and Shade, do you want a room together or separate?” dad asked.
“Together is fine right honey?” Nepheline asked.
“Yeah,” Shade nodded.
“Alright then, let’s go… this place is a little weird, I don’t know if you remember, but it’s technically a golem that’s also Felicia’s familiar,” my dad explained. “It has the ability to expand the internal space and create new rooms to accommodate more people or items. You can actually tell the house itself to do this… but we had already prepared two rooms for you two.”
We walked upstairs with Aquarina’s family and my dad, while the rest of our friends went back to their rooms, they were pretty tired themselves.
The rooms were located at the end of a corridor on the third floor, both rooms were large and spacious. If anything the only annoying thing was the old wood always making sound when we walked on top of it.
“We already prepared beds and basic commodities here,” my dad said, showing Aquarina’s parents their big room. “You can bring whatever you want here and decorate it however you want, think of this as like an hotel for now, until we return home in like half a year from now, if things go well.”
“I guess that’s fine by me!” nodded Nepheline, sitting over the bed. “Looks good, right Shade?”
“Yeah it’s alright,” Shade nodded. “And about Esmeralda… I guess we’ll have to keep her here for now, giving her her own room might be dangerous, as we fear she might escape wherever she wants and cause problems.”
“Yeah, keep her around for now, she looks quite like a troublemaker…” my dad laughed. “She’s nothing compared to how Sylphy and Aquarina were at her age, they were such well-behaved girls.”
“I agree, they truly were,” Nepheline nodded with a smile. “But that doesn’t really mean this little baby is any bad, she’ll grow up to be a wonderful girl, I’m sure.”
“Abaaah!” Esmeralda grabbed her mother’s cheeks and stretched them.
“Ouch, stop it!” Nepheline groaned, but didn’t stop her from doing that.
“Hahaha, I guess you’re not wrong, maybe I’ve been spoiled with elf kids, it seems it runs in their family that they’re all well behaved even from birth,” my dad laughed. “Anyway, Aquarina let me show you your room.”
“Okay!” Aquarina nodded, following my dad.
I noticed she was already about to surpass his height, she was a huge lady, just like her mama.
And I like that a lot…
“Here it is,” my dad said, showing her the room. “It’s big for you to place whatever you want inside. Also Felicia left one of her cauldrons here for you to use. There should be a few other Alchemy tools around, yeah, inside of that piece of furniture.”
“Oh wow… well, thank you! It’s more than I expected,” Aquarina looked around, smiling. “I guess I’ll unpack my stuff…”
Aquarina tapped her ring again, as a shadow storage of sorts emerged from within her own shadows, which was pretty amazing! How did she even do that? She transformed her own shadows into a storage using that storage ring? That’s crazy.
She brought out a closet, more clothes, and a lot more of her stuff, as my father nodded and decided to take his leave.
“Alright then, I’ll be going. I’m quite nervous your mother is finally coming next week, so I have to prepare,” my father said. “I’ll shave and take a shower… maybe I should get some new clothes too… Ahh, I haven’t bought perfume in a while. Maybe a better shampoo? And cream…” he walked away while murmuring to himself.
Aw, he really wanted to look handsome for mom, my dad’s so cute sometimes.
“Let me help you set things up then!” I said.
“Sure!” Aquarina smiled. “Thanks.”
