Chapter 1853: The Last Day In Everstone

When Aquarina’s parents offered their daughter stay longer, she gently declined. As much as she loved her friends here, she couldn’t bear being apart from Sylphy any longer.

“Oh, it’s quite alright. I’m happy she’ll finally reunite with her beloved,” Agua said with a sweet smile. “And well, you’re married, right?”

“Well… uh… I-I mean, we did the whole ritual for my tribe, so technically yes!” Aquarina nodded, blushing. “But not in Sylphy’s tribe—or, um, society. Elven society does weddings differently. We’d have to go through a whole ceremony.”

“Ah! Oooh, that’s so lovely! I’m glad you’ll see your wife again,” Agua said, clearly supportive.

“Thanks… Hahaha… wife, huh?” Aquarina giggled, her cheeks glowing. Just hearing someone call Sylphy her wife filled her with joy. “Yeah… I miss my cute wife. Ah! Right—what about you and Quetzal?”

“We’ve already received my mother’s blessing! Our marriage is arranged,” Agua said proudly. “But it’ll take a while. Quetzal wants to grow more familiar with our tribe and learn everything he can. He’s undergoing trials from my mother and the priests, and a small quest from the Great Oasis Spirit. Once he completes everything, he’ll earn the right to marry me.”

“Oho? So you’re not that easy, huh?” Aquarina teased with a laugh.

“I-I guess it’s because I’m the Great Oasis Spirit’s Priestess…” Agua mumbled, blushing. “I feel a little bad for him, but he was so eager… so I let him do it.”

“Well, he clearly loves you. I’m happy for both of you,” Aquarina said warmly, squeezing her friend’s hand. “I wish you two the best.”

“A-Aquarina… thank you! You’re my best friend!” Agua said, tearing up as she hugged her tightly. “I’ll miss you…”

“I’ll miss you too,” Aquarina whispered. “Here.”

She handed Agua a small necklace with a blue jewel shaped like a water droplet.

“W-What’s this?” Agua asked.

“A little gift. A good luck charm so you can remember me,” Aquarina said. “Even when we’re far apart, you can touch it and feel a little connection to me.”

“Aww, it’s perfect! Thank you!” Agua beamed, kissing Aquarina’s cheek. “When you come back, I might even have a kid, hehe…!”

“Whoa, that fast?!” Aquarina blinked. “W-Well, take your time…”

After breakfast, Aquarina went to meet her friends in the Oasis Village. They were taking a break from their meditations and playing games with the younger tribe members.

They were playing a game called “Leap Frog,” where players had to balance and leap across small stones in ponds filled with Biting Fish—creatures known for their painful nips. The goal was to complete a full circle around the pond, and players were allowed to push each other, making the game chaotic and fun.

Aquarina arrived just in time to see Silvia win, kicking Justicio into the water at the last second—much to his surprise.

“Heheh! I won! Get bitten!” Silvia laughed.

“Hey, that’s not fair! Why’d you kick me, Silvia? That’s rude—especially from my girlfriend…” Justicio groaned.

“What? There’s no way I’d go easy on you just because you’re my boyfriend, dummy!” Silvia teased, ruffling his hair. “Oh, Aquarina, Agua!”

“Huh?” Justicio turned, quickly standing and thanking the kids for the game. “Ah, you’ve finished your meditation, Aquarina?”

“Kind of,” Aquarina nodded. “Not completely—I’ll finish it later. But I’ve had some breakthroughs!”

“Nice!” Silvia grinned. “I’m happy for you!”

“Yeah, congrats,” Justicio added.

“Sooo… we already talked about this, but… I’ll be leaving tomorrow,” Aquarina said. Her friends fell silent.

“I-I see… So this is it, huh? Time really flies,” Silvia sighed.

“Yeah… I wish you could stay longer, but we understand. You want to see Sylphy,” Justicio said.

“It’s not just Sylphy. There are other friends I want to see again too,” Aquarina said. “And my parents want to reconnect with theirs. So… tomorrow it is.”

“It’s okay. We already cried a lot,” Silvia said with a soft smile.

“Yeah. We’re just happy you were here with us. We’ll always remember you,” Justicio said.

“Geez, I wish you guys could come with me!” Aquarina pouted. “But I guess you really can’t, huh?”

“Yeah, we’ve been given big responsibilities in the village,” Silvia said with a giggle.

“And, well… we’re getting married in a couple of months,” Justicio added, blushing.

“Really?! That’s wonderful!” Aquarina cheered. “When I come back, I’ll bring Sylphy and all my friends! So wait for me!”

Later that day, Aquarina and her friends regrouped with Quetzal, who was out hunting dangerous monsters as offerings for the village and the Great Oasis Spirit.

Together, they spent the rest of the day exploring the jungle, gathering food and materials, and simply enjoying each other’s company—one last time.

As night fell and the village prepared a small farewell festival, deep within the Divine Spiritual Realm of the Oasis, Khepri arrived to visit Tethys.

“Wow, so this is your Divine Spirit Realm? It’s huge! And really pretty too,” Khepri said in awe, smiling as she looked around.

Her small insectoid form was only used in the physical world. Here, in this energy-rich spiritual domain, she returned to her true form—a tall, humanoid figure resembling a beautiful mechanical girl made of gold and black steel. Her body shimmered with red and yellow jewels, and she bore scarab-like wings and ornate decorations.

Khepri admired the realm: a land of endless islands and flowing seas, with waterfalls cascading from clouds above. Ethereal spiritual beings drifted through the air, filling the space with life.

“You think so? It’s only recently grown to this size,” Tethys said, emerging from the water in her majestic, voluptuous form. “Before, it overlapped with the Oasis and was just a vast lake… Anyway, welcome to my Divine Spiritual Realm, Khepri.”

Tethys extended her hand towards Khepri, as the two held hands while floating around the Divine Spirit Realm.

“I wish I could stay here with you forever… to make up for the lost time,” Khepri said with a gentle smile.

“Ah… It makes me happy you think that, but there’s no need,” Tethys said. “I know you love that girl, and you don’t want to leave her side.”
