Chapter 1854: Love Between Great Spirits
Chapter 1854: Love Between Great Spirits
—–
“Welcome to my Divine Spiritual Realm, Khepri.”
Tethys extended her hand toward Khepri, and the two held hands while floating around the Divine Spirit Realm.
“I wish I could stay here with you forever… to make up for the lost time,” Khepri said with a gentle smile.
“Ah… It makes me happy you think that, but there’s no need,” Tethys replied. “I know you love that girl, and you don’t want to leave her side.”
“Yeeah… she’s like my kid now, so I have to take care of little Silvia,” Khepri sighed. “But I’ll come visit you every night! As long as I can, that’s it.”
“Honestly, I’m happy with just that,” Tethys said. “I don’t think I would be able to bear it if you stayed with me every single day.”
“Heeey! That’s rude!” Khepri laughed.
“Hahah, I was joking… but not completely,” Tethys chuckled as they flew toward a floating island and sat on the green grass.
They remained silent, admiring the beauty of the land, as Khepri slowly rested her head on Tethys’ shoulder.
Tethys blushed slightly but hugged Khepri with her delicate arms before kissing her forehead.
“Tethys… I miss everyone else…”
“Me too…”
Khepri and Tethys stayed quiet, remembering their lost friends, Eurus and Fornax. They hadn’t been a perfect team, and they definitely didn’t get along all the time, but Khepri believed they were a good team and genuinely loved them all.
Tethys was shy, but she appreciated them too, and wished they could be here, sharing this moment as friends—like the family they once were…
“Why did things have to come to this?” Khepri sighed. “I…”
“I know how you feel…” Tethys closed her eyes. “But mourning them is all we can do now… mourning them while also looking forward to the future ahead.”
“Yeah…” Khepri sighed, holding her hand. “I’m glad you’re still here with me… I love you, Tethys…”
“I-I love you too…” Tethys felt embarrassed, comforting Khepri as their lips drew closer and they kissed lovingly.
“You’re sooooo cute!” Khepri hugged her liquid body. “I want to squeeze you!”
“W-Wait, you’re going to—Uwah?!” Tethys panicked as Khepri ended up drowning in her liquid body.
SPLASH!
“Waaaagh!”
“I told you to be careful…”
Tethys sighed, grabbing Khepri and pulling her out of her own liquid body. Khepri gasped for air, looking a bit exhausted, then burst into laughter.
“Hahaha, sorry…” she giggled. “I just couldn’t help myself; I felt lucky to have you…”
“Hmph, but if you end up drowning, then I’ll be all alone again! Don’t do that,” Tethys sighed. “Anyway, what should we do now…”
“What should we do now? I think you understand pretty well…” Khepri smiled with a coquettish smirk. “Let’s go to your bedroom to have some fun~!”
“E-Eh? Wait… but that’s… can we even do that? We’re not like the mortals…” Tethys’ body started boiling the more embarrassed she felt.
“Yeah, but I’m fairly sure Spirits can do a lot of stuff!” Khepri said, grabbing her hand. “Come on, don’t you want to at least try? You’ve been all lonely here…”
“Um… Okay.”
Tethys gulped, then nodded timidly and moved to her great palace in the realm. She rested on her bed, and Khepri slowly made her way to her side… and then, well, they started “experimenting.”
“Oooh! W-Wait, Khepri—Aaah~!”
“Ooh, so this is your spot, huh?”
“N-No! Ahhh~”
“Ohoo~ Now’s your turn, wanna touch?”
“Ahh… Your body is so shiny and beautiful…”
“W-Wait, where are you—Oogh~?!”
The little spirits that inhabited the realm could hear the strange moans of two divine spirit ladies, confused about what they could be doing. They spent the whole night at it, without stopping, not even for a second.
As it turns out, Spirits of their caliber could indeed do many things mortals also enjoyed, which led to more fun between the two than they could have ever imagined.
After hours, they ended up sleeping together in the huge bed, waking to the morning sun.
“Khepri, wake up… It’s morning already.”
“Hmm? Let’s cuddle a bit longer…”
“But Aquarina is leaving today. Don’t you want to say goodbye to her?”
“Ahh right! Almost forgot!”
Khepri quickly woke up, realizing she couldn’t laze around with Tethys.
“Oh?”
As she was getting ready to depart, Khepri noticed Tethys feeling strange.
She had a second Aura glowing within her.
“What’s going on? You feel different?”
“Y-You noticed? Wow…”
“What’s wrong?”
Tethys was surprised Khepri could tell right away. She showed her stomach, which had suddenly taken the shape of a translucent water bubble.
Inside it was a bright light—a swirl of blue, yellow, and green.
It didn’t look at all like how mortals appear in that stage, but it was definitely it.
“T-That’s a Spirit Egg?!”
“It seems so! O-Our love… it created a miracle, Khepri! Your energy and mine, when we did all of that, came together within me.”
“Oh my goodness.”
“I was shocked at first but… I took care of this little combined energy, and with my love, it became this… Maybe it’ll hatch in months, or perhaps years, but… we won’t be the only ones here forever.”
“I-I… I’m so happy, Tethys…!”
Khepri hugged Tethys and kissed her again. Never had she felt so happy before. After being abandoned in the desert for thousands of years, she had finally found her love—and now, they were even going to have their own little family.
“Alright, shall we go see Aquarina together then?”
“Sure thing. I’ll go as well. After my contract with Agua, it shouldn’t be impossible to manifest a small avatar by her side.”
“Nice, then see ya there! Love you!”
Khepri kissed Tethys again before disappearing.
Meanwhile, Tethys remained there in silence, caressing her belly with a motherly smile.
“To think I would feel this happy and fulfilled again, after thousands of years…”
Tethys remained seated on the edge of her bed, her gaze fixed on the soft glow within her belly.
The Spirit Egg shimmered gently, pulsing with life.
She placed both hands over it, whispering softly.
“You’re going to be loved… I promise.”
