Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 1554 1554: A Talk With Pyuku

Aquarina walked away from her home before she was to see something weird she would never forget, and made her way to her pool, where she found Undine and Pyuku swimming while eating mangos. He also noticed Leviathan was there, letting the flow of the water move him around the pool while the sun gave him its warmth.

“Damn, they sure know how to chill,” said Aquarina, stepping in. “Hey guys! Good morning! How are you doing today?”

“Ah, Aquarina,” said Undine. “We’re fine, we’ve been talking about life and stuff… Mostly helping Pyuku here get a bit better.”

“W-What? What happened to Pyuku again?” wondered Aquarina. “Are you alright?”

“Sorry, I wasn’t really intending to worry anybody…” said Pyuku. “They’re just nonsensical personal issues but it’s fine, I’ll get over it.”

“But…”

Aquarina fell silent as she heard Pyuku saying these things weren’t important, that they didn’t matter. She remembered her parent’s words… and even Sylphy.

How much she cared about her Familiars and how much time she spent with them, always helping them and being there for them.

“You’re not a bother Pyuku, if you ever thought that,” said Aquarina. “If you got something to say, just say it. I want to help you out if I can… really, I do. You’re my familiar but also my friend.”

“A-Ah, really…” Pyuku felt a bit surprised Aquarina insisted. “Well… Thanks. I mean, it’s nothing that big and I feel better. I was just still thinking about yesterday and everything else. Wondering about the past of my ancestors, and what future will the slimes even have in this world…”

“So that’s why…” Aquarina nodded. “Well, what do you think so far?”

“I mean, it’s been a lot of things through my head, my responsibility as the Slime Prince and everything else… It isn’t easy,” he said. “The slimes rely on me a lot, they love me, and they want me to help them and guide them… But I sometimes feel like I’m not ready for that yet, and after learning this about our origins, it made me a bit sad that we were the byproduct of some sort of torture the gods did to our ancestors for their sins…”

“Yeah, I guess you’ve got it rough, Pyuku, maybe rougher than all of us here…” Aquarina slowly walked to their side and sat down near the pool, placing her barefoot underwater after taking out her sandals. “About not being worthy, I think you already are… But maybe it could have to do with your strength so far? You’ve grown so strong already but maybe there’s something you feel it’s missing?”

“I guess so, I am strong but nowhere as powerful as you and the others…” said Pyuku. “I want to become stronger… Stronger than any other slime, or person maybe? I just want to get so strong nobody will ever mess with the slimes again, I want… Um, I guess it’s dumb.”

“You want to become their guardian, yeah, I get it,” Aquarina nodded. “And that’s a good goal! I’ll do everything I can to help you grow even further, Pyuku. We could start by feeding you more monster cores? Oh! Have you tried eating the Orichalcum Golem Core? Its components are very strong, the crystallization of some divine power.”

“R-Really? It is too valuable for me to eat…” he said.

“Come on, one core at least, you earned it,” Aquarina quickly gave it to him.

“This is… Thank you,” Pyuku smiled a bit better, as he ate the core. “Hmm, it’s hard. It’ll take a couple of days to digest, but… Wow, I can already feel its power!”

“Maybe we could try that! Not only monster cores, but any magical ore or crystal could help,” said Undine. “After all, monster cores are a type of ore, technically, they’re the crystallization of a monster’s Essence and Mana.”

“I had never thought I had such a power but… after seeing how those ancestors of mine had taken over the Orichalcum Golem and even merged with it, maybe even back then we had such a hidden property…” said Pyuku.

“Yeah, yeah!” nodded Aquarina. “One step at a time, alright? Let’s become strong together, Pyuku! So you can gain more confidence and be able to guide your people.”

“Thanks, I really appreciate it- Uwah?!”

Pyuku was surprised when Aquarina pulled out a bag with more monster cores for him to eat.

“I got this bag I was saving for you, so here! Make sure to eat them all, and get tons of new abilities,” said Aquarina with a wink.

“A-Aquarina, this is ridiculous! Isn’t this too much?!” Pyuku asked. “Wait, there’s even the core of the Oasis Wyrm here?!”

“Only half of it but yeah, it’s huge right?” giggled Aquarina. “Pyuku, this is a bit embarrassing to say but I really love you as my family, so I will always try to protect you and help you… I-I’m sorry if I am sometimes inattentive or dumb… It’s just that sometimes I can’t really word my emotions as good as others. It’s only with Sylphy that I usually opened up a lot. But I’ve begun to change, maybe because of her too. She inspired me to change and, well you, Undine, Leviathan, Silvia and Justicio too.”

“That’s nice of you to say… Sorry again, maybe I’m too dramatic…” Pyuku said. “I haven’t had a similar childhood than everyone else, so my emotions… tend to be stronger sometimes.”

“It’s alright,” said Aquarina, patting his head. “You’re Pyuku and you’re my friend and family, whatever your ancestors were, and whatever happened for you to exist doesn’t matter right now, you know? The only thing that matters is that you’re here, living the present, with everyone else that loves you. Let’s… uh, look forward to the future and live the present?”

Aquarina was trying her best to do a speech like Sylphy does, and Pyuku could tell.

“Yeah, you’re right,” he nodded, he understood what she was trying to say. “I’ll try… Also I… I was thinking I want to return to the Demon Continent in the future. Maybe in a couple of years.”

“Eh? Really?” Aquarina asked. “Well, Sylphy’s planning on going eventually, so I’ll tag along. Why do you want to go?”

“I want to meet someone I love…” Pyuku said. “I need to find out if they’re alive and fine.”
