When they returned to the master bedroom, the general excitement was palpable.

Isadora was already mentally considering where to put some of her personal belongings.

Elena was still looking at the walk-in closet.

Selene was clearly hesitating between the enormous bed and the cushion area.

Elaria was fascinated by the automated features.

Vespera was still trying to understand the layout of the place.

Lyriana seemed to appreciate the general calm.

And Shiora...

Adam preferred not to know what she was thinking.

Finally, Selene announced:

"I’m moving tonight."

Elena turned her head.

"Already?"

"Why wait?"

Shiora smiled.

"I agree."

Isadora nodded calmly.

"Me too."

Elaria:

"It would be more convenient."

Lyriana sighed.

"So we’re all really going to set up our things here tonight."

Vespera looked at her ring.

"That seems logical."

Elena hesitated for a few more seconds.

Then she smiled.

"Okay."

Adam looked at them.

"Does my opinion need to be considered?"

Selene replied:

"You can have a say in the decision."

"What if I say no?"

Silence.

Adam observed their expressions.

Then he raised his hands.

"A theoretical question."

Shiora smiled.

"Good answer."

They then decided to test one of the most important functions.

Remote access.

Selene was the first volunteer.

She left the Bridal Chamber.

Then she crossed the new corridor area and went down to the manor’s garden.

The others followed her to observe the test from outside.

Adam stood a few feet away.

Selene looked at her Promise Ring.

"So I just have to want to go in?"

Adam nodded.

"Apparently."

Selene focused her attention.

For a second...

Nothing.

Then the floor in front of her lit up.

A golden line appeared.

It rose vertically.

Then it gradually formed a frame.

A dark door with golden edges literally emerged from the floor.

Elena took a step back.

"Impressive..."

The door stabilized in front of Selene.

Then it opened by itself.

Beyond it was the Bridal Chamber.

Selene smiled broadly.

"It works."

She stepped through.

A few seconds later, she returned.

The door closed.

Then it slowly sank into the ground before disappearing completely.

No trace remained.

Shiora tested it next.

Same result.

Then Elena.

Lyriana.

Elaria.

Isadora.

Vespera.

Each time, a door appeared in the exact right place, without damaging the floor or the surrounding area.

It could even appear against a wall when there wasn’t enough free space.

Vespera observed the phenomenon closely.

"It’s not actually a physical door."

Elaria nodded.

"More like a temporary spatial interface."

Adam smiled.

"You really need to analyze absolutely everything."

Both women replied simultaneously:

"Yes."

Adam sighed.

Then it was his turn.

He looked at his hand.

No Ring of Promise.

Obviously.

He was the host.

"I suppose I just need to think about entering."

He focused his attention on the Bridal Chamber.

A golden door appeared immediately before him.

Even more quickly than for the others.

Shiora smiled.

"No ring needed for you."

"Apparently."

Adam stepped through it.

Then returned.

"So I can also access it from anywhere simply by thinking about it."

Isadora considered this.

"Very useful in an emergency."

Vespera corrected him:

"Provided the location can’t be used to escape certain unknown restrictions. We’ll have to test it gradually."

Adam nodded.

"Yes. I’d rather avoid discovering a limitation at the wrong time."

They then proceeded with one final test.

The one concerning people unrelated to the link.

Isadora summoned one of her most trusted guards.

The woman arrived quickly.

She observed the door curiously.

Isadora explained simply:

"Try opening it."

The guard asked no questions.

She grasped the handle.

Nothing.

She frowned.

Then she pulled harder.

Still nothing.

"It’s not moving, Your Grace."

Selene approached.

"Try harder."

The guard slightly reinforced her body.

Then she pulled.

No movement.

The door seemed to be part of an indestructible wall.

Isadora asked:

"Strike it."

The guard hesitated.

"Your Grace?"

"You have nothing to lose."

So she drew her sword.

Then she struck moderately.

Clang.

The blade bounced.

No mark appeared.

The guard slightly increased her force.

Second knock.

Still nothing.

Selene smiled.

"Let me try."

Adam immediately raised a hand.

"No."

Selene looked at him.

"Why?"

"Because when an object is described as indestructible, I prefer to believe the description rather than watch you test how many sections of the mansion can survive your experiment."

Isadora nodded.

"Adam is right."

Selene seemed slightly disappointed.

The guard then tried to cross the door while it was open.

She moved forward.

And stopped dead.

Not against a visible barrier.

She was simply unable to cross the threshold.

As if space itself refused to let her proceed.

She pushed.

Nothing.

Even when Selene tried to gently pull her from the other side...

Impossible.

The guard didn’t budge an inch.

Vespera watched intently.

"It’s not just a physical barrier. Space itself is refusing her entry."

Elaria nodded.

"So even teleportation would probably fail."

Isadora seemed very satisfied.

"Perfect."

Adam finally closed the door.

The guard tried to open it again.

Impossible.

"So the strangers can neither enter, nor open the door, nor damage it." "

Lyriana added:

"And since she only appears remotely when one of us summons her, no one can even follow her without permission."

Adam thought for a moment.

"That probably makes it the most secure place we have."

Isadora looked at the final section of the corridor that would soon be sealed off by the large outer door.

"Once the work is finished, even when we leave this door open, no one will be able to see us from the rest of the manor."

Adam nodded.

"And the old bathroom will still be accessible to guests through its new entrance."

"Exactly."

The craftswomen were already at work.

The new large outer door would be wide, dark, and elegant.

It would completely separate the end of the corridor from the rest of the manor.

A second opening was also being created in the adjacent wall to provide direct access to the old baths.

The original entrance to the Bridal Chamber, however, would remain unchanged.

No one wanted to risk interfering with a Gold-ranked object.

Once the tests were complete, everyone finally resumed their activities.

Selene stretched her shoulders.

"Well. I have to return to the Guild."

Shiora retrieved several documents.

"I have a trade campaign to oversee."

Elaria looked at Adam.

"I need to check the materials for the first memory cells."

Vespera added:

"And I need to contact the dragons regarding the ancient weapons."

Lyriana put away her communication crystal.

"I need to speak with Mother and check the latest reports on the roads."

Elena adjusted her equipment.

"The signet rings await me."

Isadora observed the work already underway.

"I’ll stay a few minutes to oversee the new doors, then head to the administration."

Adam looked around.

The Bridal Chamber.

The future grand door isolating the end of the corridor.

The new entrance to the old baths, intended for guests.

The craftswomen already at work.

And the women who had all just decided to move their belongings into their new rooms that very evening.

He sighed softly.

"So my old room is gone, the end of the corridor is becoming a private area, my old bathroom is now the guest bathroom, and you’ve all decided to move in tonight."

Shiora smiled.

"A productive morning."

Adam closed his eyes.

"I’m starting to hate that expression."

Vespera smiled slightly.

"Yet you use it often yourself."

"Not with the same meaning as you."

The women began to separate.

Before leaving, Selene turned back to Adam.

"Don’t forget: tonight, we’re bringing all our things."

Adam nodded.

"I understand."

Elena smiled.

"This time, you won’t be able to say you don’t have enough space."

Adam looked at the vast space beyond the door.

"I think we could fit a small village in there."

Shiora replied:

"Don’t give me any ideas."

Adam turned away immediately.

"Forget what I just said."

She burst out laughing.

A few minutes later, everyone finally went their separate ways.

The day had barely begun.

But now, at the very end of a corridor in the Valoria mansion, a simple door led to a place that didn’t exist on any map of the world.

An indestructible space.

Accessible from almost anywhere thanks to the Rings of Promise.

Capable of offering them as much rest as they needed for just eight hours in the outside world.

And, starting tonight...

The Bridal Chamber would truly become their new shared room.

Adam finally left the manor with Selene.

The others had already dispersed.

Isadora stayed a few more minutes to supervise the work in the corridor.

Elaria headed towards the Artisans’ Guild.

Shiora returned to the Merchants’ Guild.

Vespera was to go to the Tower of Mages after contacting several family members about the ancient weapons.

Lyriana still had several messages to send to Astraea.

And Elena was to meet up with the knights.

Adam, for his part, simply resumed his usual routine.

The Adventurers’ Guild.

Then Selene.

In other words...

Probably several more hours of self-imposed suffering.

He descended the manor steps alongside the white tigress.

But before they even reached the grand avenue leading to the estate gates, something unusual happened.
