Breakfast finally came to an end.

Even after everyone had finished eating, several conversations continued around the table.

Lyriana had already sent a first message to Astraea.

Vespera was mentally preparing a list of the ancient artifacts she wanted to bring over.

Shiora had started noting the potential costs associated with transporting and securing these items.

Selene, meanwhile, was looking at Adam with that overly enthusiastic expression that confirmed to her that her next training session would probably be even worse than the last.

But Isadora quickly brought everyone back to the immediate topic.

"The Bridal Chamber."

Adam looked up.

"Now?"

"Now."

Shiora smiled.

"See? She learns fast."

Adam sighed.

"I still refuse to acknowledge your influence."

Isadora stood up.

"Let’s go."

A few minutes later, the entire group gathered outside Adam’s room.

Several maids and craftswomen from the manor had also been summoned.

Isadora opened the door.

Then she looked inside.

The furniture was still that of a luxurious room in the manor.

A large bed.

Wardrobes.

A desk.

A few armchairs.

Shelves.

Chests.

Decorations.

All of it was perfectly suited to one person.

But if the map of the Bridal Chamber worked as Adam had understood...

All of this furniture would become useless.

Isadora made her decision immediately.

"Empty the room."

A maid blinked.

"Everything, Your Grace?"

"Everything."

Adam looked around.

"Even the bed?" "

Isadora turned to him.

"Especially the bed."

Selene immediately agreed.

"Too small."

Adam looked at her.

"I was doing just fine with it until now."

Shiora smiled.

"Until now, you didn’t need to cram everyone in there."

Elena blushed slightly.

Adam chose not to reply.

The maids and craftswomen then set to work.

The bed was dismantled.

The wardrobes were emptied.

Adam’s clothes and belongings were temporarily placed in several chests.

The furniture was transported to the mansion’s storerooms to be used elsewhere rather than simply thrown away.

Adam watched his desk disappear down the hall.

"It’s strange to see your room dismantled in front of you." "

Isadora replied calmly:

"It would be a waste to keep furniture that will no longer be used."

Shiora agreed.

"Exactly. Any unused item remains a tied-up resource."

Adam turned his head toward her.

"Even here, you manage to talk like a merchant."

"Because I’m right."

When the room was completely empty, everyone left.

Adam remained in the hallway with the others, the door to his old room still wide open before them.

He then took the golden map from his inventory.

Immediately, the atmosphere changed.

The map emitted a warm, deep light.

Even Vespera and Elaria were observing it with intense focus.

Adam looked one last time at the empty room.

"Well... let’s see what a Gold-rank reward is really worth."

He simply thought:

Use it.

The reaction was instantaneous.

The map rose above his hand.

Then it silently split open in the center.

A golden light burst forth.

Adam instinctively took a step back.

The map fragments didn’t fall.

They transformed into thousands of luminous particles.

These particles passed through the door frame and flooded the old room.

Onto the walls.

The ceiling.

The floor.

The window.

Even the door frame was crisscrossed with golden lines.

For a few seconds, the entire room was enveloped in such a dense light that it became impossible to see anything.

Vespera raised a hand slightly.

"I don’t detect any dangerous fluctuations."

Elaria watched the phenomenon with fascination.

"The particles don’t actually attach to the materials..."

Adam asked,

"Then where do they go?"

"Somewhere else."

"Very precise."

"I’ve never seen anything like it."

The light finally dimmed.

Then it disappeared.

Everyone watched the interior from the hallway.

Silence.

Adam looked at the walls.

The ceiling.

The floor.

The window.

Even the empty room was exactly as it had been before.

"Nothing has changed."

Selene frowned.

"Is that all?"

Shiora looked at Adam.

"Perhaps you received an extremely expensive decorative card."

"Don’t jinx it."

Elaria moved slightly closer to the doorframe.

"Wait."

She observed the almost invisible magical lines running across the door.

"The door is still open."

Adam immediately remembered the new information that had appeared in his mind during the activation.

"Ah."

Everyone turned to look at him.

Vespera asked:

"What?"

Adam pointed to the door.

"It needs to be closed once."

Isadora raised an eyebrow.

"To finalize the installation?"

"Apparently."

Adam placed his hand on the handle.

Everyone remained in the hallway.

Then he slowly closed the door.

Click.

For a second...

Nothing.

Then a golden line ran across the entire doorframe.

It disappeared almost immediately.

Adam looked at the others.

"Now?"

Selene smiled.

"Open it."

Adam lowered the handle.

Then he pulled.

And everyone froze.

The old room was gone.

In its place...

A vast room stretched out behind the door.

Adam remained silent for a few seconds.

"Ah."

Selene poked her head in beside him.

"That’s better."

Adam was about to enter when another set of information flashed into his mind.

He immediately raised a hand.

"Wait."

Everyone stopped.

He held the door wide open.

Isadora asked:

"Anything else?"

"Yes. And it’s important."

Adam placed a hand on the doorframe.

"As long as this door remains open, the Bridal Chamber remains connected to the outside world."

Vespera understood immediately.

"So time flows normally."

"Exactly."

Elaria asked,

"And the restrictions?"

"They’re also lifted as long as the door remains open."

Her eyes lit up immediately.

Adam pointed at her.

"I recognize that expression."

"You just said we can work inside."

"As long as this door remains open, yes."

Shiora smiled.

"Interesting."

Adam continued,

"But as soon as the door closes, the space completely separates from the outside world. Time distortion and all the restrictions activate."

Elena asked,

"And if we close it for just a few seconds?"

Adam grimaced.

"Eight hours pass outside."

Silence.

Selene blinked.

"Even if we stay inside for ten seconds?"

"Yes."

"It’s brutal."

"Exactly."

Isadora immediately looked down the corridor.

Adam’s room was at the very end.

There were no other rooms beyond his.

No doors.

No important passageways.

Just several meters of unused corridor leading directly to his entrance.

She thought for barely a few seconds.

Then she turned to the artisans.

"We’re going to close off this section of the corridor."

Adam looked behind him.

"Close off the corridor?"

Isadora pointed to a spot several meters before the room.

"Here."

The head artisan surveyed the area.

"A new door?"

"Yes. A large double door."

Elaria understood immediately.

"So we don’t need to create a proper anteroom."

Isadora nodded.

"Since the room is already at the very end of the corridor, all that’s needed is to isolate that last section."

She indicated the space.

"The new exterior door will be placed here. Once closed, everything behind it will become a private area."

Adam looked at the distance.

There would be several meters between the new exterior door and the entrance to the Bridal Chamber.

"So we can close the new door to prevent anyone from seeing us from the hallway..."

Vespera finished:

"While leaving the entrance to the Bridal Chamber completely open."

"Exactly," Isadora confirmed.

Shiora nodded.

"Simple and effective."

Isadora looked at the artisans.

"I want something more imposing than the old entrance."

The woman in charge agreed.

"Reinforced black wood?"

"With dark metal and some purple details."

Elaria added:

"Complete soundproofing. Protection against magical observation." "

Lyriana interjected:

"Also, add an intrusion detection system between this new door and the bedroom entrance."

Isadora nodded.

"Go ahead."

Adam watched the plans begin to take shape.

"You’ve organized all this in under a minute again."

Shiora smiled.

"We’re getting efficient."

"You were already far too efficient."

Adam then noticed the old bathroom door inside the previous bedroom.

With the transformation, it was obviously no longer accessible in the same way.

He frowned slightly.

"And my old baths?"

Isadora looked at the wall in the hallway.

Then at the overall layout of the mansion.

"They’ll stay."

Adam raised an eyebrow.

"How so?" "

Isadora turned to the head craftswoman.

"Open a new entrance from this wall."

She indicated the side wall of the corridor, just before the future large exterior door.

The head craftswoman quickly took a few magical measurements.

"The old bathroom is directly behind this section."

"Perfect."

Adam understood.

"So we simply open a new door from the corridor."

"Yes."

Isadora nodded.

"Your old baths are far too large and well-appointed to be abandoned."

Shiora smiled.

"That would indeed be an impressive waste."

Isadora continued:

"They will become a bathroom and baths for the mansion’s guests."

Elena smiled.

"It’s probably even more useful this way."

Adam thought of the enormous pool that Isadora had built.

"Dozens of people can already use it at the same time."

"Exactly."

Isadora then gave her final instructions.

A new opening would be created in the wall.

An elegant door would be installed.

The passage would lead directly to Adam’s former baths.

The area would now be separate from the Bridal Chamber and reserved for the mansion’s important guests.

Adam looked at Isadora.

"You still managed to salvage something from your previous renovation."

"Of course."

Shiora nodded gravely.

"Never abandon a worthwhile investment."

Adam sighed.

"You two are meant to get along."

Once the decisions were made, they could finally explore the Bridal Chamber.
