Reincarnated Hero System

Chapter 1134 - 1134: Energy Harvest [Monthly Bonus 2]

Both Evan and Jamie blinked in confusion at Arthur’s sudden outburst.

Seeing their clear confusion, Arthur clicked his tongue and raised his black sword as he spoke.

“Newsflash! In case you forgot, Akasha is the one who orchestrated Lucifer’s death 12,000 years ago. And if there’s one thing Akasha didn’t get from that, it was Lostvayne’s location.

He has no idea where the sword is.

There’s no damn way the Eternals—especially control freaks like Akasha—didn’t put some kind of system in place to track who becomes a Candidate and how they acquire the Candidate Sigils.

I’ve basically got a tracker on me now that lets the Eternals know exactly where the fuck I am!”

Arthur’s words revealed some things about the Eternals and his ancestor, Lucifer, that Evan hadn’t known before, and Jamie, now understanding the reason behind Arthur’s frustration, tried to calm him down.

“Relax, Arthur. Unless you walk right up to Akasha and unsheathe Lostvayne in front of his eyes, he won’t know you have it.”

When Jamie said that, Arthur stared at him with utter confusion.

“What? The hell do you mean by that?”

Jamie sighed heavily before replying.

“Exactly what I said.”

After a moment’s pause, he continued, “Lucifer used to hoard Rule Breakers, didn’t he?”

Arthur silently nodded at that question, confirming that he knew about his great-grandfather’s collection of Rule Breaker weapons like Lostvayne, the one he now wielded.

“When you become a Deity, ask that sword of yours why Lucifer did that.”

Jamie gestured toward Lostvayne as he spoke, and Arthur glanced down at the blade in his hand.

‘That makes it sound like he can’t ask it now. Isn’t it an Ego Weapon?’

Evan thought to himself as he alternated his gaze between Arthur and the sword, and a moment later, Arthur sighed in exasperation before turning toward him.

“Dude, you didn’t get affected by the weird Eternal tracker, right?” he asked.

Evan took a moment to think about how to respond before shaking his head.

“Nope, I didn’t get affected by the weird Eternal tracker. I already have mine from the future.”

“…wut?”

Arthur made a confused sound, his expression showing that he didn’t understand what Evan meant.

Seeing that unspoken question, Evan simply lifted his hand and activated Blessing of Destruction, and when Arthur saw the crimson glow covering Evan’s body, his brow furrowed.

“…so, you got that power from an Eternal?”

Evan only nodded and said, “Yeah, let’s go with that.”

He didn’t say anything else, only staring at the space where the Concept Aspects Arthur now possessed, previously occupied.

‘Candidate, huh? If I factor that in with the effects of Eon Sunder Regressio, then Arthur is probably, no—definitely EOTD. I mean, I literally just saw him become a Candidate for the position.’

He shook his head, setting the thought aside for now, and at that moment, Jamie spoke.

“Now that you two are done, can we leave? Things aren’t gonna look too pretty if we stick around.”

“Huh? Why?”

Arthur and Evan turned toward him, confusion clear on their faces, which made Jamie sigh before he gestured toward what was left of Bewússtsein’s corpse.

“Bewússtsein was the consciousness of this planet. Sure, he had a physical form, but you could also think of him as the ‘soul’ of the planet, and the planet itself as his ‘body.’

We just killed the ‘soul.’ What do you think happens to the body?”

Evan’s eyes narrowed as he answered.

“It’s gonna die…”

As the realisation sank in, both he and Arthur slowly lifted their gazes toward the Planet’s Inner Core, still suspended at the centre of the Core Dimension.

A massive fissure split the plasma sphere, molten matter spilling out, but a shimmering cosmic energy barrier held the destruction in check.

Knowing the Existence Realm Limitation was gone and Jamie was back to full power, Arthur and Evan quickly understood Jamie was the one keeping the core stable, though the leakage was worsening by the second.

After a quick assessment, the two boys reached the same conclusion.

“”This place about to blow!!””

Jamie nodded in agreement before looking toward the fissure they’d created to enter the Core Dimension.

“Good. Now let’s get the fuck out of here before that happens.”

◇ ◇ ◇

Jamie carried Arthur and Evan through the fissure in the Core Dimensional barrier, racing up the spatial tunnel he’d carved through the planet earlier.

As they exited, cracks spread across the Inner Core’s barrier, and unstable energy began pouring out.

Folding space to speed their escape, Jamie brought them out of the Caldera within seconds. Expanding his spatial perception, he located Alvey, McEnda, Artemisia, and Beatrix, teleporting straight to them, only to find two additional figures with them.

“Sup, Rilene. The older McEnda’s here too.”

Standing before them were the Supreme god Queen and Demon King, the parents of two among them.

Rilene Xagna held Artemisia and Beatrix’s hands, while McEnda II casually lifted Alvey and a bruised McEnda III by their collars.

At the sight of the unfamiliar woman, Arthur muttered, “Oh… That’s Beatrix’s mom. I can see the resemblance.”

Evan nodded in agreement, his gaze alternating between the mother-daughter pair.

“Beatrix is basically a mini version of her.”

Rilene shared Beatrix’s long white hair and refined features, differing only in her black eyes compared to Beatrix’s hazel brown.

Meanwhile, McEnda II, already familiar with Arthur, turned to Jamie with a questioning look.

“What the hell happened here?”

Jamie arched a brow in mild confusion.

“Huh? The kids didn’t tell you?”

He’d expected Alvey and McEnda III to explain things, but since that clearly hadn’t happened, he just shrugged and gave a brief rundown.

“This planet’s consciousness went rogue. It tried to separate from the planet and become an independent living being. It nearly pulled it off, too.

It came to Aramis, kidnapped the kids, and brought them here to steal their powers. Thanks to Arthur, I figured it out in time and got here after deciphering the maze of spatial tunnels he left behind to throw off pursuers.”

As Jamie spoke, McEnda III and Rilene narrowed their eyes, recalling how his power had flashed across the galaxy, tearing through territories and destabilising several Interstellar Civilisations.

It was those erratic bursts of power that had drawn their attention, but he moved too quickly to follow. Rilene had only just begun tracking his movements when Beatrix’s SOS reached her.

“I found out the guy somehow became a Candidate for Destruction and used a Cosmic ‘Item’ as a sacrifice to impose an Existence Realm Limitation, weakening me when I tried to destroy the planet.

To fight him, Arthur, Evan, and I had to go down the hole I made, break into the Core Dimension, and destroy his soul. He had power close to the Low-Tier Deity Realm, but we managed to pull through. Now, he’s dead, and what happens to a body with a dead soul is about to happen.

—In other words, this place about to blow. So, I’m gonna take these two and dip.”

He began levitating, pulling the two boys up with him as he addressed the Deities.

“Feel free to stay if you want. Not like a planetary explosion would kill you.”

Before anyone could respond, he became a streak of light and vanished through the planet’s shattered atmosphere.

The moment he left, Rilene and McEnda II felt the planet’s core start to collapse, an inevitable result now that Jamie, who’d been holding it together, was gone.

Rilene immediately tore space apart with her divinity, while McEnda II’s shadow lifted like a veil, enclosing him and the other two demons.

In an instant, they appeared in space, millions of miles from Cruotis Prime’s moon, close to a fleet of interstellar warships from the Orithyia Galaxy’s major powers, all who’d been alarmed by Jamie’s earlier actions.

As Arthur and Evan quickly recognised ships from Aidos, Gozon, and even Denerth Prime among them, Jamie turned toward the fleet, his True Voice echoing across the vacuum.

|You guys might wanna put up your shields.|

A moment later, Cruotis Prime shook violently.

Fissures crawled across its surface like veins of molten light as volcanoes erupted in massive bursts of magma, hurling continent-sized fragments into space that struck the moon and shattered it.

But before the moon’s debris could drift far, Cruotis Prime itself exploded.

A colossal wave of energy burst outward, an explosion so bright it eclipsed the nearby stars for a moment. The blast unleashed an immense amount of radiation, sending a vast shockwave rippling across the system.

The force of the blast disrupted the orbits of nearby planets, knocking some dwarf planets off their paths while others spiralled into unstable trajectories.

From their position, Arthur sighed softly as he watched the destruction unfold.

“What a waste of energy.”

He could see the enormous streams of cosmic energy spilling into the vacuum, fading away. But just as he spoke, Jamie laughed.

“Not if I have anything to say about it.”

Extending his hands, Jamie activated his skill.

|Imperial Privileges: First Privilege—Creation.|

Immediately, Arthur felt his newly acquired Candidate Sigils stir uneasily within him. His expression darkened as he forced them down with Cosmic Energy, quelling their restlessness.

Meanwhile, Jamie continued issuing commands.

|Activating Ruler Authority. Modifier: Demon. Category: King.

Accessing Ascension Matrix Administration.|

Cosmic energy flowed around him, and before him, intricate circuit-like patterns materialised— physical manifestations of the Devour Class System projected into the third dimension.

Pressing his left hand against the glowing circuits, Jamie spread his spatial power outward with his right.

The sudden shift in energy drew the attention of the nearby Deities, but Jamie ignored them completely.

|Contract.|

Before their eyes, the scattered energy from the planet’s destruction began moving back toward its source. Gravity pulled at the shattered remains of Cruotis Prime, drawing them together, but instead of reforming, the energy composing the fragments was extracted, leaving behind only dust.

|Compress.|

The extracted energy gathered together, forming a vast sphere of multicoloured light.

Using his Creation Privilege and Ruler Authority, Jamie made several adjustments, drawing in the Existential Records of the billions Bewússtsein had consumed. After a few final refinements, he deactivated his Authority and examined the result.

“There was still some loss. I only managed to recover about two-thirds.”

With a wave of his hand, the sphere divided into two equal halves. Each rounded under its own gravitational pull, solidifying into perfect orbs.

Jamie clenched his fist, and the orbs began drifting closer, steadily shrinking as they approached each other.

When they finally stopped, each was about a metre across, the density of the energy within them so immense that even an untrained observer could see how they distorted space-time around themselves.

“Two EXP Caches, coming up.”

Jamie declared, using his Gravity Authority to cancel their pull and guide them toward Arthur and Evan.

As the two reached out and grasped the orbs, a True Voice echoed across the space around them, addressing all three.

|Demon King Westley. Progenitor godslayer, and…Masked Rogue Hero.|

Jamie turned his head, meeting the familiar gaze of Sect Master Chang from Denerth Prime.

|Sup, Chang. You brought quite the crowd.|

Jamie’s tone remained casual as his eyes swept over the surrounding ships. Each one was filled with Deities, and among them were several Race Kings and Queens.

Still, none approached. Or rather, none dared to.

Though hidden from non-Cosmic sight, Jamie’s vessel was drawing in an immense amount of ambient cosmic energy, creating an overwhelming pressure that forced anyone below Chang’s level to keep their distance.

That was exactly why Chang had come forward to speak on their behalf and seek an explanation for what had just happened.
