"What are you looking for?" A voice responded quietly in the darkness.

Chan Fayuan, containing his emotions and prioritizing the bigger picture, replied: "Of course it’s the Knowledge and Hearing Bell. After all, it is the treasure of our Buddhism, and its loss is the foundation of our Buddhism. Now, we rely on our means and unite for this cause. After we find it, it’s not too late to compete."

Ji Xingkong giggled and said, "The Knowledge and Hearing Bell is at my house."

With great resolve, Chan Fayuan stifled his urge and turned his head away.

This day is impossible to discuss!

But the reason he invited Ji Xingkong to join was because he no longer had much time.

That void being mended was not just the homeward path blasted open by Master Xingnian but also the "completion" of the world of Shenxiao.

Master Xingnian made a grand vow before his death, desiring "Beyond the Heavens, No Evil."

What does "Beyond the Heavens, No Evil" mean?

To Master Xingnian himself, it could have many interpretations.

For the Land of Shenxiao, it means no more external interference.

Those who are already involved must play the game within it. Those who are not yet involved can no longer enter lightly.

This is, of course, recognized by the Land of Shenxiao.

At the moment Shenxiao’s secret place opens, it’s rapidly reviving and growing.

From facing the pressure of Tiger Taisui and having to self-destruct, to later retreating to another time-space to avoid direct intervention from the Demons of Mo Yun City.

All their actions within the Land of Shenxiao rely on pre-arranged means to connect, unable to act directly.

Since Shenxiao’s secret place opened to now, how much power has fallen into the game of Shenxiao – these are Shenxiao’s resources, also strengthening the world rules of Shenxiao.

Now, although he has joined forces with several Heavenly Demons from Mo Yun City, breaking through the maze of time, he feels further from the Land of Shenxiao.

The Knowledge and Hearing Bell has been lost, Yang Yu is dead, and the power he has left in the Land of Shenxiao is rapidly dissolving, with the last chance vanishing.

If he doesn’t do something, he honestly can only declare he’s out!

How could he lose so thoroughly?

At this point, Chan Fayuan took a step forward—

Roar!

A golden divine dragon appeared beneath his feet, with deer antlers and long whiskers, continuously rolling, its form nearly covering the entire Mo Yun City.

A mighty dragon roar surged, sweeping through thousands of miles. In the Sky Sloth Wilderness, all living things heard it.

The Protective Heavenly Dragon of Ancient Nan Mountain!

This is not a living creature but a True Dragon refined, its dragon soul locked, creating divine skills, serving as a supreme Buddha’s attendant, guarding his practice.

That Old Dragon of the Forest Sea always persuaded Jiang Wang to let Him out, saying He had connections and face in the Monster Realm, could arrange it. This enormous face was He.

At this time, the Great Bodhisattva Chan Fayuan of Ancient Nan Mountain stood on the Heavenly Dragon, overlooking the endless labyrinth of time and space, palms together, surrounded by a precious brilliance, chanting—

"Zen Master! When the End of Dharma comes, what merit should be performed?"

"When the End of Dharma arrives, all beings are guilty."

"Disciple knows the Three Pitakas, determines Heart Monkey, maintains Eight Precepts, realizes Six Purity, restrains Intention Horse, though arriving at the End of Dharma, my virtue does not decline, why should I be guilty?"

"Your sin lies in insufficiency."

"The road is long, Zen Master, how will you teach me?"

"Redeem entirely."

This is content from "Wisdom of Divine Wisdom Fruit Collection," said to be Hidden Light Tathagata’s last sermon at Ancient Nan Mountain. After this, he left Ancient Nan Mountain, disappearing beyond the heavens.

At that time, the dialogue was with the then Tenth Dharma King, later Light King Tathagata.

This part is where Light King Tathagata asked, if the End of Dharma Era truly arrives, what kind of merit should I perform?

Master Xiong replied that there’s no merit, the Era signifies the sins of all beings.

Light King Tathagata asked again, I’ve diligently cultivated merit, adhered to precepts, purified my nature, kept within standards, though unfortunately entered the End of Dharma Era, what sin do I have?

Master Xiong replied the sin is in your insufficiency; you didn’t redeem the beings, didn’t protect the world, leading to the End of Dharma Era.

Light King Tathagata asked again, what should I do?

Master Xiong only said, go redeem the sins!

At this moment, this classic precisely fits the situation, the context, the heart!

At this time, Chan Fayuan was treading on the Heavenly Dragon, suspended high above Mo Yun City, indeed infinitely glorious. As his chanting grew grander, a brilliant Buddha light suddenly emerged behind his head! This Buddha light circled immortal, shining eternal, as if embedding Jin Yang behind him, making him like a Buddha.

This was seen by the Demons of Mo Yun City.

Yet the changes unseen by others occurred within the Land of Shenxiao.

Inside the Land of Shenxiao. Yuan Mengji still feigned goodwill with Chai Asi, showing an exemplary ruler and ministers. Pig Dali continued pondering his aspirations, with Immortal Spring Water reflecting his hem. She Guyu hid alone in a corner, Xiong Sansi, Zhu Lanruo, and Lu Qilang remained vigilant.

As if nothing had happened.

But the power unique to Chan Fayuan, secretly searching for the Knowledge and Hearing Bell, suddenly leapt out of secrecy, soared to the high skies of the Land of Shenxiao, probing further, in a breath traversing thousands of miles...

Found it!

At the extreme heights of the Land of Shenxiao, opened a massive Treasure Ship!

It stretched forty-four thousand long units, eighteen thousand wide units, utterly impossible for the present demon kings to see its entirety. It nearly obscured the sky, casting ripples of ages.

Only the masts had long broken, the hull was covered with scars, with gashes almost continuously one after another. Rotten wooden boards, green rust, and deep brown moss brought a profound decay aroma.

The most severe damage was in the middle section of the Treasure Ship... cleaved open by some unknown existence with some sharp weapon, almost divided into two, the keel snapped, rivets broke, tens of thousands of huge hinges fractured on both sides’ wounds, no longer able to connect. Only three remained hanging there, barely holding the hull together. Compared to the enormous Treasure Ship, they were really small, impossible to notice unless closely examined.
