The gate of all demons will not open for this.

However, there is no ten thousand demon sect between Civilization Basin and the demon clan territory—this is how Monk Xingnian once went to the demon clan territory.

But Monk Mingzhi is gone, and Monk Xingnian will also soon be gone.

What use will it be for him to go?

Zhao Wu loosened his clenched fist, glanced over there, and walked down the altar lost in thought.

"You might want to think about it."

Qin Changsheng’s cold voice came from behind: "Does Monk Xingnian want you to support him? Is he willing to let the gate of all demons bear the risk of being trapped for him? Given his deep calculations, from beginning to end, has he ever sent you a signal?"

Zhao Wu didn’t speak and continued walking out.

For some reason, the scarred eyebrow actually began to bleed. He smeared it with a finger, the tip of his finger stained red.

Indeed, the body of Dao Evolution, one injury hard to heal.

But the broken eyebrow was really not counted as an injury, it could easily be smoothed over.

Yet he did nothing more.

...

...

Questioning Path Peak, reaching nine thousand zhang high, unseeable by the world.

The frail-looking Mi Zhiben, sitting alone at the chessboard.

Chess pieces made of white stone and black stone, stored in two copper bowls.

Using these copper bowls as chess containers.

One piece falls, and the bowl’s sound echoes far.

The sound is like stone striking in a valley, gaining the quiet sublime Zen feeling.

This is the copper bowl left by the Great Bodhisattva Monk Mingzhi of Mount Sumeru five hundred years ago.

In front of the left Buddha’s bowl, there are several books piled up.

In front of the right Buddha’s bowl, there are also several books piled up.

Five on the left, four on the right.

The top book on the left, its cover written in Taoist text—

"Buddha’s Fifty-Eight Chapters: Chapter Twenty-Seven"!

The top book on the right cover is written in Taoist text... "Buddha’s Fifty-Eight Chapters: Chapter Forty-Six".

The theft of "Buddha’s Fifty-Eight Chapters" in the Heavenly Demon Pavilion years ago resulted in losing twenty Chapters. Later, the insider was exposed, and the organizer behind the scenes, Monk Mingzhi of Mount Sumeru, was also captured and directly killed.

Seven Chapters of the scripture were recovered, but thirteen Chapters were lost forever.

All were used by Monk Xingnian, scattered to the ends of the earth.

Currently, three Chapters are used by the Divine Xiao Bureau, Xingnian tries to write the future using them. He was caught in a game and forcefully stopped.

Of the remaining ten Chapters, he had already calculated the location of five.

When Xingnian appeared once in the Divine Xiao Bureau, traces emerged instantly, and the other five Chapters could not hide.

These last ten lost Chapters, nine collected here, one shattered by Yuan Xianting.

If Monk Xingnian still has a chance to not die, to penetrate time and play chess using the Future Astral Tribulation Scripture, these nine Chapters are the only hope.

Mi Zhiben picked up one scripture, flipped through it casually: "When you gain Bodhi, there is no karmic fruit, suffering is innocent, the ordinary mind obtains by itself."

He recited Monk Xingnian’s grand wish before his death, lightly: "When you gain Bodhi, there is no evil beyond the heavens... "

Tear!

Tear!

Tear!

The nine Chapters of scripture were torn completely, turning into scraps, not a single character could be pieced together again.

"Done, it’s gone."

He lightly blew a breath, the fragments broke into finer pieces, turned into wind, mixed with fine dust, and fell to the ground.

The game with Monk Xingnian hence ends here.

As for Buddhist scriptures and transmissions, everlasting classics... what are those?

"Your master’s injury was caused by me."

"Your uncle’s death was led by me."

"Your life will also be ended by me."

He spoke like this, sweeping his hand across the chessboard for another game.

He smiled slightly: "Good move!"

While pondering the situation of the next game, the first ear on the right moved slightly, as if hearing something.

"The Knowledge and Hearing Bell is gone?"

He chuckled: "What’s that got to do with me!"

...

...

The eternal chasm has already healed, the distance between the Land of Shenxiao and the present world, once again vague and unknowable.

"Buddha’s Fifty-Eight Chapters" turned into flying ash.

Monk Xingnian burned by karmic fire.

Corpse worms dispersed in cause and effect.

The water of Eternal Youth Spring, still falls within the Eternal Youth Spring, still stagnant dead water, vitality exhausted.

Everything is already over, everything seems never to have happened.

But... where is the Knowledge and Hearing ferryboat?

Where has the Knowledge and Hearing Bell gone?

In the Mo Yun City, Chan Fayuan’s face was ashen.

The Heavenly Demon consecutively struck to intercept the Celestial River, at the moment Monk Xingnian perished, he was already prepared to reclaim the Knowledge and Hearing Bell and the Buddha’s Fifty-Eight Chapters. But once the karmic fire rolled, everything turned to emptiness.

Where did the Knowledge and Hearing Bell go?

It’s reasonable that the "Buddha’s Fifty-Eight Chapters" were burned by the Karmic Fire, but the Knowledge and Hearing Bell absolutely could not have been destroyed!

In those days, the World Honored One propagated the Dharma, accompanied by the Three Bells.

The Wowing Bell is an instrument of enlightenment, seeking truth within, hence the saying "Thus I have heard."

The Guangwen Bell is an instrument of seeking, seeking truth externally, hence the saying "As it is widely heard."

The Knowledge and Hearing Bell is an instrument of conveying, conveying the truth externally, hence the saying "As it is to make known and heard."

The Knowledge and Hearing Bell has been enshrined on Ancient Nan Mountain for millions of years, producing generations of geniuses, due to its conveyance of the path. As a Great Bodhisattva once said — "Let others understand my mind, that is my path, and let the world know."

With this bell in hand, even the evolution of Dao benefits!

If the Knowledge and Hearing Bell cannot be found today, Chan Fayuan would be the eternal sinful monk of Ancient Nan Mountain!

For this Knowledge and Hearing Bell, generations of sacrifices were made by Mount Sumeru.

For this Knowledge and Hearing Bell, to what extent can he go?

"Where is the bell?" Chan Fayuan looked toward the gathering darkness, filled with killing intent.

He suspected if there were any secret measures of the Black Lotus Temple involved.

"Hehehe, you’re absolutely right. I, Bodhisattva, have already sent the Knowledge and Hearing Bell back to where it belongs!" In the darkness, Ji Xingkong’s mood was evidently more stable.

After all, never possessing it means never losing it.

"Where it belongs, where is that?"

"Of course, it’s the orthodox Buddhism, the eternal scriptures, the ship to save the world, the Treasure Pagoda of the Black Lotus!"

At this moment, Master Xingnian was already dead, the beacon had been obliterated. The time forcibly connected by Mi Zhiben between the Land of Shenxiao and Mo Yun City diverged once more.

Chan Fayuan redirected his gaze to the maze of time. Since Ji Xingkong said so, the disappearance of the Knowledge and Hearing Bell should have nothing to do with the Black Lotus Temple.

That mass of Karmic Fire burned away the Cause and Effect, truly erasing too many traces. Even with cultivation as high as his, he couldn’t see clearly for a moment.

Could it be that before Master Xingnian died, he pushed the Knowledge and Hearing Bell back into that secret? Unable to retrieve it, he chose for the Knowledge and Hearing Bell to be lost from then on?

The secrets of the Shenxiao Bureau are as numerous as sands in the Ganges.

Where should one search?

...

...

On the Divine Mountain, the demon hordes were silent.

Although Master Xingnian was a great enemy of the demon clan, such courage to "sail a lone boat across the Celestial River and battle the many Heavenly Demons alone" could indeed transcend the divide between friend and foe.

The homesickness that spans billions of miles, the lonely courage against countless enemies, resonates with the hearts of all living beings.

Seeing this scene, who can avoid a sigh?

Demons surround the mountain too!

The villagers cannot return home.

Jiang Wang fell into the Mirror World, surrounded by that silent white mist, although clutching his sword tightly, with the veins on the back of his hand protruding, he felt only deep helplessness.

Five hundred years ago, Master Xingnian watched helplessly as his martial uncle Master Ming Zhi was killed by the demon clan’s strongmen.

Five hundred years later, he, Jiang Wang, in the Mirror World, could only watch helplessly as Master Xingnian was killed.

The despair was even worse!

Master Xingnian still possessed the cultivation of the absolute summit of the present world, could still look through the past and perceive the future, could still see through the Shenxiao Bureau, fight the many Heavenly Demons alone, could still hide in the Monster Realm for five hundred years, and enter this situation...

Still could only leave the words, "How distant is the Other Shore!"

What does he, Jiang Wang, have? What can he do?

He, Jiang Wang, has a sword and possesses a body full of Divine Skills, yet he dares not leap out of the hiding treasure mirror, dares not board the ship homeward.

He can only hide in the Mirror World and watch.

Watching the many Heavenly Demons intercept the Celestial River, attacking continuously. Slowly wearing Master Xingnian to exhaustion, burning him in the Karmic Fire.

Too despairing.

Even as strong as Master Xingnian couldn’t do it.

Even as strong as Master Xingnian died.

The plan that spanned five hundred years turned empty overnight, the Pinnacle of Dao Evolution was just a fantasy.

What can a mere God Arrives do?

Too despairing...

Jiang Wang’s hand gripping the sword had turned pale at the knuckles.

But he remained silent, slowly loosening his grip.

Releasing the sword hilt not because he gave up resisting, but because he no longer tried to find courage here.

Life is a long journey.

Master Xingnian’s journey ended, but Jiang Wang was still on the road.

Then keep moving forward.

Is this a dead-end?

I’m still alive.

Then it is not yet.

He slowly, with his hand on the ground, supported himself and was about to stand up.

His palm seemed to press on something unusual.

He turned his head, slowly moved his hand, and saw a small... copper bell.

On it were inscriptions of Suffering Mountain, carvings of Black Lotus Temple, with mottled marks from axes, chisels, smoke, and fire.

Its name: Knowledge and Hearing.

That call of "Senior Uncle," I heard it.

You are that unexpected collision, the one that escaped, the last hope, the possible chance.

All calculated in the plan!
