Reborn with a Space: Hoarding Food and Raising My Kid
Chapter 605 - 463: Tipping Off
Chapter 605: Chapter 463: Tipping Off
"Aaron Rook, hand over the item and we’ll spare your life."
Aaron Rook’s eyes widened as he stared at the three people before him, clutching the Crystal Stone tightly in his palm.
"What a move from the Cross family, to even bring out the three War Gods—Thunder, Wind, and Frost. It looks like the rest of us have no hope in this fight for the Divine-level Space Fragment!"
"Less talk. Hand it over. Now leave!"
Aaron Rook sized up the situation. With a flick of his wrist, he tossed the earthen-yellow Crystal Stone to the trio. "Hmph, this isn’t over!"
Ray Cross caught the earthen-yellow Crystal Stone. After inspecting it and confirming it was genuine, he gave Aaron Rook a dismissive wave.
With a cold expression, Aaron Rook turned and walked away, terrified that the trio behind him might change their minds and not let him leave.
’Hmph. Let the Cross family enjoy their arrogance for a few days!’
’So what if the Cross family managed to call upon these three elders from their ancestral land this time? Every major family has War God-level powerhouses descending on Earth. If they find out the Cross family is hoarding so many Divine-level Space Fragments, it will surely cause public outrage.’
’When that happens, the Cross family will have angered everyone and be attacked from all sides. Let’s see how you protect these Divine-level Space Fragments then.’
The calm before the storm.
Everyone in Morhaven Base was living their quiet, peaceful lives, until... Cynthia Grant returned from the woods, wounded. Flora Bloom knew then that the peaceful days were over.
Cynthia Grant, now recovered after drinking the spiritual water, looked tense. "Flora, there are a lot of strange faces outside Morhaven. We were ambushed while hunting in the forest. The leader was at least Nebula Level."
"What kind of superpower?" Flora asked. Although she could sense the potent Ice Ability energy from Cynthia’s wound, it was better to be sure.
"Ice Element!"
Flora frowned. ’Ice Element? Of all the people I’ve offended, Belle Bloom has already been marked with a spatial brand. That only leaves the Ice Ability Users from the Seymour family at Aethelgard Base.’
"It might be Jude Seymour and his crew from Aethelgard Base. He’s a Nebula Level superpower user. By the way, how many people did he have with him?"
Cynthia Grant looked grim. "A few hundred, maybe. The area outside Morhaven is crawling with them now, but for some reason, they haven’t entered the city."
"Flora, something isn’t right." Lex Cross suddenly appeared behind her, followed by Five and the others.
"Cynthia, are you okay? Is it serious?"
"I’m fine. Flora’s spiritual water is incredible. One drink and I was completely healed!"
"Flora, a little while ago, the siblings from Villa One, Da Li and Millie, also came back wounded. And Xiao Sai’s team, too—they get injured every time they go out. We’ve asked them what’s going on, but they won’t talk."
Jade and Maeve Preston walked into the house together. Caleb Bloom, Joel Bloom, Sherman Lynch, and the others had all returned to Villa Three.
Ever since Flora released Caleb Bloom and the others from her personal space, she had insisted they return to their old lives and stop taking orders from her.
On the surface, they appeared to be normal, but Flora knew the truth. They had gone from living their own lives to revolving entirely around her. Even if it wasn’t obvious, their spiritual power, their ways of thinking, and their very psyches had undergone a peculiar change.
This was the last thing Flora wanted.
"That’s strange. Lately, everyone in the base except for the Cross family members seems to be coming and going with injuries. Do you guys know what’s going on?" Ethan Monroe and Neal Wallace arrived with a batch of equipment—weapons and armor, all of them masterpieces forged by the base’s Gold Ability Users.
Ever since Mr. Goldsmith disappeared, Marina Goldsmith had become a completely different person, singularly focused on her training. The moment she obtained any cultivation resources, she would use them all to train in seclusion. As a result, she became the first person in the base to break through to Planet Level.
The second person to do so was Caleb.
Caleb’s superpower had grown very strange since his breakthrough to Planet Level. His peculiar black magnetic field energy could not only purge and control creatures, but it could even control humans.
The magnetic field was like a vast, bewildering domain. Anyone caught within it would become disoriented, their spiritual power falling under his control. Caleb, in turn, could command all life within the field’s range.
It was just like with Da Bai at the very beginning. As long as a target’s Superpower Level wasn’t higher than his, they would remain under his control indefinitely. Furthermore, as long as Caleb had enough spiritual power, there was no limit to the number of beings he could command.
Just then, Selina—who had recently awakened thanks to a new awakening serum—burst into Flora’s villa, her face bloodied and her expression frantic.
"Flora, Yue Mao... Yue Mao is dead."
"What?" Flora was stunned, her expression freezing for a moment. "Selina, are you saying... Yue Mao is dead?" Cynthia Grant wiped the blood from Selina’s forehead and helped steady her.
