Chapter 575: Chapter 453: Entering Aethelgard Base in Disguise

It was Flora Bloom! The same Flora Bloom who had once turned their Azuregard City Base upside down before leaving without a care. Their former leader, Sherman Lynch, had left with her.

Now, she stood shoulder-to-shoulder with an exceptionally handsome man. He was striking, she was beautiful—a pair of otherworldly figures appearing before them like saviors.

"It must be Old Lynch coming to save us!"

That shout instantly ignited the hearts of these long-humiliated warriors.

We’re going to be saved!

Once that realization set in, everyone’s heart began to pound with the hope of survival. One of the superpower users even shouted to the sky.

"Captain Bloom! To save us, our leader Milton Adler was locked up by the Acker family in the coastal terminal! Please, go save him!"

"Inform the Acker family’s leader that I, Solomon Sterling, wish to see him."

Soon, a man in white robes ascended, riding a large, snow-white bird. He flew high into the air, leveling with Flora Bloom and her companions.

"Brother Sterling, it’s been a long time!" Brick Acker said with a friendly smile, cupping his hands in greeting.

"It has been a long time. I didn’t expect you to be the one leading the Acker family this time."

"Indeed. The family entrusted me with this, and our mission on this planet is a heavy one. Brother Sterling, may I ask what brings you here?"

"Big brother! They’re here for Milton Adler and those natives!"

"Oh? And why would Brother Sterling want these Earthlings? Is there some secret to them?"

"Not at all. This person beside me is the head of Morhaven, Captain Bloom. Milton Adler has deep ties to her. I’ve only come to ask you for a favor."

After a moment of thought, Brick Acker’s face broke into a wide smile. "No problem. Since you’re the one asking, Brother Sterling, I won’t say another word! I have Milton Adler locked in a house by the sea. I’ll have my men bring him here."

Soon enough, Milton Adler was brought over by a member of the Acker family. Flora Bloom had the Golden Crow fly down and quickly checked on him. Thankfully, he had only fainted from extreme hunger.

Flora Bloom spoke up. "Leader Acker, these people from Azuregard City are probably useless to you. How about you let me take them?"

A glint flashed in Brick Acker’s eyes. "Brother Sterling, it seems you came today for more than just this one man, didn’t you?"

Solomon Sterling gave an awkward smile. "These brothers from Azuregard City have a rather deep friendship with my young friend here. If it’s convenient, consider it a favor I owe you."

Lex Cross suddenly looked at Brick Acker and said to Solomon Sterling, "Uncle Sterling, it’s best not to owe favors so casually. Not everyone can afford to be indebted to the Sterling family!"

"Brother Sterling... what is the meaning of this?"

"What does it mean? Earth isn’t your ancestral home. You start baseless disputes and steal what isn’t yours. I’m giving you a heads-up before I take these people. Consider that me giving you face.

Leader Acker. The people. Are you letting them go or not?"

Flora Bloom clearly had no more time to waste on negotiations. The Golden Crow’s aura was making the white, motley-feathered bird before them tremble.

"You... all of you! Solomon Sterling, I respected the Sterling family because my Acker family once sought your help and owed you a favor. Don’t push your luck!"

"Then consider that favor repaid. From this day forward, the Acker and Sterling families owe each other nothing and will have no further dealings."

Saying no more, Flora Bloom dismounted the Golden Crow. She helped Milton Adler and the superpower user who had been standing behind Zachary Acker get onto its back.

Flora Bloom ignored Brick Acker’s expression of suppressed rage. "Leader Acker, I hope you’ll refrain from harming the native humans on this planet. What goes around comes around. There will be consequences otherwise."

The Golden Crow beat its wings, ascending high into the sky, but it didn’t leave immediately. Flora Bloom poured some spiritual water into Milton Adler’s mouth. Seeing him slowly regain consciousness, she asked, "Milton Adler, how many of your original people from the Azuregard City Base are left?"

Milton Adler had just regained some strength. Seeing Flora Bloom before him, he immediately cried out in agitation, "Flora Bloom! Is it really you? Quick, you have to stop them! They’re going to blow up the coast of Azuregard City!"

Flora Bloom was startled. "Why? Why would they blow up the coastal part of Azuregard City?"

"It’s my fault. I took the men out to sea to fish, and on the way back, we were attacked by a mutated sea monster. All of my men sacrificed themselves to protect me!

"But the monster didn’t kill me. Instead, it followed me to shore, where the Acker family saw it.

"When they saw the sea monster wouldn’t attack me, they captured me and tried to force me to tell them where it came from and where its lair was. But how would I know?

"Later, after sacrificing two or three of their own superpower users, they found the monster’s location. It’s in the deep sea, right under the coast of Azuregard City!"

"What kind of sea monster?" Flora Bloom asked.

"I couldn’t see all of it—it’s just too massive. But I know it has a lot of tentacles, like..." Milton Adler didn’t get to finish before Lex Cross cut in.
