Reborn with a Space: Hoarding Food and Raising My Kid
Chapter 567 - 450: Rectification
Chapter 567: Chapter 450: Rectification
Flora Bloom didn’t immediately go to Villa District One to demand an explanation. Instead, she took Polly, Cynthia Grant, and Shelly on a tour of the entire base.
Night fell. The superpower users who had been out returned to the base. The Morhaven base was peacefully enjoying the kind of life people longed for in the apocalypse: working at sunrise and resting at sunset.
Yet it was at this very moment that a sight that stunned everyone unfolded within the Morhaven base.
Villa District One was completely surrounded by thorny and incredibly resilient vines.
The thickest of these vines were fifty to sixty centimeters in diameter, while the thinnest were only half a centimeter.
The people inside Villa District One didn’t notice at first. But when someone finished dinner and decided to go for a walk, they saw the scene and immediately cried out in alarm.
When Graham Cross found out, he led Heath Cross and Solomon Sterling toward the main gate. But where was the gate now? All they could see were the various buildings and public facilities, completely entangled in vines.
Li Yimi and his men also rushed to the main gate. The power gathering around the Planet Level Wind Ability user made the group of newly arrived superpower users shudder.
"A mere plant ability, and you think you can stop me!"
Myriad massive Wind Blades shot toward the sky-blotting vines.
Li Yimi’s confident smile froze as his Wind Blades tore a massive opening in the vines. But when he saw the gashes heal themselves in the very next second, that confident smile gradually vanished.
In its place, his expression went blank.
’My full-force attack, the attack of a Planet Level Wind Ability user, could only create a few gashes?’ He couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
Graham Cross’s expression was also grim. "To think the Morhaven base has such a powerful plant-based superpower user... Solomon, what do you make of it?"
Solomon Sterling was enveloped in the white light of his superpower. The ability of his lineage didn’t lie in attack, but purely in deduction and calculation.
Although he was Saul Sterling’s father and his superpower had also reached the Planet Level, he lacked his son’s ability to perceive topographical trends for miles in every direction.
Saul Sterling’s ability had awakened and evolved on Earth; it was a superpower superior to simple deduction, one that visualized its calculations.
That was why, in order to cure Flora Bloom of an alien insect’s poison, Lex Cross had pushed Saul Sterling to level up at all costs, just so he could pinpoint the location of Evangeline Rook—the one who could cure it—in the Peach Grove Ancient Town.
Solomon Sterling’s expression was peculiar—a mixture of shock, confusion, and disbelief.
"It’s not a plant-based superpower user. These plants are sentient. They were tamed and have long been under someone’s control. A person deliberately directed them to surround Villa District One."
Graham Cross’s brows furrowed deeply. "Is there any way to break through?"
Solomon Sterling shook his head. "Not for now."
Graham Cross’s expression turned grave as he gathered Thunder Element energy around his body. RUMBLE!
Thunder roared through the sky, mirroring the hearts of everyone inside Villa District One.
Most people had no idea what was happening and were still watching from inside their villas.
A violent torrent of Thunder Element energy descended upon the vines, only to be dispersed by a flash of green light.
Flora Bloom sprinkled spiritual water on the outer perimeter of the vines. Her Cosmic Level Water Ability nourished the earth like rain, causing the vines to thrum with even greater Spiritual Energy.
An oppressive humidity filled the air both inside and outside Villa District One. Superpower users below the High-level were starting to feel like they were suffocating.
Even the Planet Level masters like Graham Cross felt an immense sense of danger.
"Fire Element! Get a Nebula Level Fire Element user over here! Hurry!" Li Yimi immediately yelled at his men.
News of the commotion at Villa District One spread quickly through the Morhaven base. Having just returned, Lex Cross, Five, and the others rushed over.
Graham Cross spotted Lex Cross through a gap in the vines and cried out excitedly, "Young Master! Young Master! Let us out!"
Lex Cross glanced at the current state of Villa District One and, for some reason, felt an urge to laugh. This was Flora’s handiwork; he could tell at a glance.
Flora Bloom was currently perched on Three-Eyes’s shoulder. Cutting a perfect "Beauty and the Beast" figure, she made a grand appearance before the crowd of onlookers.
She looked toward Lex Cross. "You’re back?"
Lex Cross’s gaze fell on Polly, who was happily using a handful of Three-Eyes’s black chest fur as a swing. He nodded.
"Are you going to intervene?" Flora Bloom asked, gesturing toward the plant-enshrouded Villa District One.
Lex Cross shook his head. "I wouldn’t dare."
Flora Bloom nodded, satisfied. "Then just stand aside and watch."
When Polly saw Lex Cross, she jumped down, landed on the back of a Nightmare Beast waiting nearby, and rode toward him.
"Daddy, you’re here!"
Lex Cross scooped up Polly, settled onto Shadow’s back, and ascended high into the air. This scene made Graham Cross and the others, who had been about to beg for his help, swallow their words.
