Thousand Eyes froze. The countless eyes on his face blinked erratically before finally closing. "My King, how could Linden possibly...?"

"If you had any brains, I wouldn’t have had to send Archie to Earth to find that Divine-level Space Fragment!" the wolf-headed King sighed. He pulled a transparent, diamond-like Crystal Stone from within his clothing.

"My King, is this...?" Thousand Eyes’s excitement was palpable. All the eyes on his face began to fly open and shut, and his hands clenched into tight fists.

Seeing Thousand Eyes’s reaction, the wolf-headed King gave a resigned smile. The Undying numbered in the countless trillions, yet truly talented individuals were few and far between.

This was why his Undying were strong and formidable, yet lacked commanders to lead them. These three were paragons who had fought their way out from among the teeming masses of the Undying in the Land of Silence. Their talent was among the absolute best of their kind. And yet, aside from Thousand Eyes, the other two were beyond his control.

Someone he could not control could never inherit his position as King.

Although Thousand Eyes’s talent was inferior to the other two, his value lay in his obedience. Among the branches of the Undying’s Royal Lineage, his race was considered a close relation. If he passed the throne to him, it would at least keep the title from passing to a different lineage of the Undying.

"This is a fragment from the Divine-level internal space of that human female War God. It is primarily attuned to Spiritual Ability. Take it and fuse with it."

Thousand Eyes’s knees suddenly hit the ground with a loud THUD. If the floor hadn’t been reinforced with the energy of Bonescorch, his kneeling would have surely splintered it with massive cracks. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

"My King! You... you’re truly allowing me to fuse with this?"

"Once you complete the fusion, you will gain an additional Spiritual Ability. You must then raise this superpower to its peak level as quickly as possible. That way, when you get to Earth, you won’t be held in check by Archie.

"Furthermore, once you fuse with the Divine-level Space Fragment, it will grant you your own independent space. Linden’s trip to the depths of the Deadlands shouldn’t take more than a month. When the time comes, first bind the seed of the Tree of Life to yourself within your new space, then plant it there.

"The Tree of Life grows slowly. When the time is right, find a densely wooded area and transplant it there. It’s unlikely anyone will notice.

"Remember, you must not, under any circumstances, reveal that you possess the Tree of Life to anyone. That includes Archie. Do you understand?"

Thousand Eyes nodded again and again. "I understand, My King. You can rest assured."

"One more thing. Although Earth is a newly emerged life-bearing planet within the territory of the Star Nation, it is a high-level celestial body of life. Do not underestimate any high-level life-bearing planet. Remain vigilant at all times."

"Yes! I understand!"

The wolf-headed King gave a soft "mhm" and waved his hand dismissively. "Commit my words to memory. You may go."

The Cloud Universe Sector resembled a giant, semi-circular track, which, along with two other major cosmic sectors, orbited the Ancient Star Nation. The entire Star Nation faced the vast, boundless, and star-strewn outer universe on one side, and the Land of Silence on the other. Beyond the Land of Silence lay the Extraterritorial Battlefield.

As for Earth, its total surface area was less than one-hundred-millionth of the entire Cloud Universe Sector—perhaps even smaller. It was like a lone seedling perched on a cliff’s edge, trembling in the wind.

The blue-green sphere, located in a remote region of the Cloud Universe Sector, looked like an isolated paradise. But those who knew it was in the throes of its evolutionary destiny knew better.

Before its evolution began, it was indeed a paradise. Now, however, its interior had become a battlefield where all manner of species vied for dominance.

But no one knew how many species of life existed on Earth, nor the extent of their evolution. This was a critical point. Once the evolution of flora and fauna reached the same starting line as humanity, and then their evolutionary speed surpassed that of humans, the planet’s life-level classification would no longer be bound by planetary rules.

When Lex Cross and his group first arrived on Earth, their own power levels were suppressed because the planet had not yet begun its evolution. The fact that their superpower levels were now slowly recovering was a sign that Earth’s system of energy and rules was gradually being assimilated by the Cloud Universe Sector.

The previous restrictions were like a game’s safe zone, protecting new players in the starting village from being slaughtered by veterans. Now, these "new players"—be they human, animal, or plant—were all developing at a rapid pace, some even showing the potential to surpass the average "veteran player."

The highest-ranking individuals leading the teams dispatched by the great families of the Ancient Star Nation were only at the Planet Level.

They assumed that on a newly emerged planet, the indigenous life forms wouldn’t be too high-level. It had always been this way when they contended for resources on other new worlds.

The natives of a newly emerged planet should not be able to surpass the High-level Superpower stage. This was common sense.

But none of their calculations could have accounted for an anomaly like Flora Bloom—a reincarnator. Not only that, but she had also been fortunate enough to obtain a fragment of a Divine-level internal space.

At this very moment, however, a massive influx of life from outer space—be they human or other biological species—had arrived. The main force was now at the edge of the Cloud Universe Sector, right at the outer layer of the blue-green sphere of life that was Earth.

They only needed to break through the protective atmosphere separating the planet from space to make a direct entry onto this life-bearing world.

The most troublesome part, however, was that very same protective atmosphere.

The higher a planet’s level, the more difficult its atmospheric defenses are to breach. A Cosmic Level being could punch a hole through it with a single attack. And once a hole was made, they could all pour in from the outside.

Among this group of invaders, however, the strongest individual, at least publicly, was only Planet Level. This person was the leader of the Cross family’s expedition: Lex Cross’s great-uncle, Graham Cross.

As the Cross family was the most powerful family in the Ancient Star Nation, all the other forces naturally looked to them for leadership.

And so, the leaders of several dozen factions, large and small, stepped forward to declare their willingness to follow Graham Cross’s command and work together to breach the planet’s protective layer.

On this particular day on Earth, the nine great mystic lands finally finished their manifestation. In Morhaven, the Heartfire Mountains rose, a continuous range that pierced the heavens, obscuring both sun and moon.

The sun would still rise tomorrow, but the people were about to enter a period where they would not see the star itself.

The Heartfire Mountains not only broke through the clouds but continued to grow, pushing directly outward from the planet’s surface. A thick white mist blanketed the sea off Morhaven’s shores, obscuring all vision.

If not for Ash, Great Crow, the schools of horse-head fish, and her other little companions communicating the changes on the seabed to her, Flora Bloom might have thought the Heartfire Mountains had already completely cut off the sea from the Morhaven base.
