Chapter 527: Chapter 436: Imbalance of Middle-Level Zombies in the Gathering Place

Flora Bloom wanted to lead her team and replicate her success, bringing the High-level zombies from the other eight zombie gatherings under her control.

However, the man in white seemed to have guessed her intentions. Every time they approached a zombie gathering, he was already waiting for them outside the entrance.

Flora Bloom didn’t waste words with him. If she could secure the zombies in these gatherings without a fight, that would be the best possible outcome.

And so, the nine zombie gatherings in the Veridia region had practically become leveling grounds for the superpower users from Morhaven Base.

Because all the Middle-level zombies had been absorbed into her space, and the new batch of High-level zombies evolved from them, the nine areas appeared unchanged on the surface. But in reality, the one who truly controlled them was Flora Bloom.

The number of low-level zombies on the outskirts of the gatherings was immense, far outnumbering the current population of survivors. With these natural leveling grounds, it took less than a month for all of Morhaven Base’s superpower users to reach High-level.

Flora Bloom wasn’t stingy, either. She notified the other major bases, telling them to hunt the low-level zombies on the outskirts of the gatherings nearest to them.

With a plentiful supply of Crystal Cores, people’s Superpower Levels soared. In her past life, during the three-year apocalyptic war, humanity had far more superpower users in total, but the number of High-level ones had been pitifully small.

In contrast, now at Morhaven Base alone, nearly every single superpower user had reached High-level.

A force like this would actually have a fighting chance if a war were to break out.

The Veridia region was vast. Flora Bloom didn’t know about other countries, but she had flown over Veridian territory several times on the Golden Crow and hadn’t discovered any more bases.

The appearance of the man in white in this life made Flora Bloom think the war might not even happen. Given the current situation, no war would be the best possible outcome.

But if they couldn’t escape the path of fate and war did break out, humanity wouldn’t be facing such a dismal end.

However, the excellent situation Flora Bloom perceived did not account for human greed. The Crystal Cores of Initial Stage zombies contained little energy, requiring massive quantities to satisfy the needs of a Middle-level or even a High-level Superpower User.

Unbeknownst to her, superpower users from some bases had already started organizing groups to target Middle-level zombies.

Furthermore, with the general rise in people’s Superpower Levels, the combined strength of a single team meant that even ganging up on a High-level zombie was no longer an impossible feat.

Human greed was the variable pushing events back onto the tragic trajectory of her past life. In one of the nine gatherings—the one closest to Argent Base—the number of Middle-level zombies suddenly plummeted.

By the time Flora Bloom found out, it was too late. She, Lex Cross, and Saul Sterling immediately flew overnight on the Golden Crow, rushing to a location a thousand kilometers from the outskirts of Argent Base.

This particular zombie gathering was the second largest of the nine in both area and zombie population.

There, they saw Titan Adler, who had already reached High-level, leading no less than a thousand Middle-level superpower users and ten High-level Superpower Users. They were currently ganging up on a High-level zombie.

The low-level zombies were being held back outside the mountain by other teams, completely unable to get to the other side. And of the more than three thousand Middle-level zombies that were originally here, only a scattered seven or eight hundred remained.

It seemed Argent Base had been hunting the Middle-level zombies here for more than a day or two.

"Stop!" The arrival of Flora Bloom and her companions clearly startled Titan Adler and his people. Mason Adler, seeing them from within the group, let out a smug, cold snort but didn’t stop his actions.

"What are you standing around for? Keep attacking!" Mason Adler yelled at the superpower users beside him, then shot a smug glance at Flora Bloom. ’This woman... I haven’t seen her since I was sent back to Argent Base.’

’Instead of getting uglier after having a child, how has she become even more alluring?’

Titan Adler disengaged from the fight and approached the trio. "What brings you here?"

"Dad, why are you wasting your breath on them? Hey, we’ve already claimed this area, so please get out! We were the first to attack this High-level zombie, so don’t even think about swooping in to steal the prize." Mason Adler’s animosity toward Lex Cross was nothing new, and seeing him easily set him off.

"However... Flora Bloom, if you don’t want to leave, you can just tell me. I’d be more than happy to let you stay." The words had barely left his mouth when a threatening glare from Lex Cross shot toward him. Black energy coiled around Mason’s neck, as if ready to snap it the moment he dared to say another word.
