Reborn Rich: Prices Dropped, My Savings Didn't
Chapter 215 - 213: A Good Attitude Determines a Woman’s Life
’Maybe it provides some emotional fulfillment, but is that really enough for the fans?’
To Lily Sterling, it was far from enough. Even after taking photos and signing autographs today, she still felt it wasn’t enough. If they had to travel for two or three hours, or even longer, just for a fleeting glimpse of her, Lily felt she couldn’t bear the weight of their effort and dedication.
She genuinely felt it wasn’t worth it for them.
Jared Keaton had organized the airport greeting, and everyone had come voluntarily. Hearing Lily’s words now, the fans couldn’t help but be touched. Their efforts were being acknowledged; Lily was genuinely worried about them.
Jared Keaton also sensed the worry and pressure in Lily’s words. That wasn’t his intention at all. He never wanted to put any pressure on her. He just wanted to give her a surprise, to make her happy, and he wanted to see her himself.
"Lily, we understand what you mean," he said. "I can’t speak for other fan clubs, but I can promise you this: from now on, if we want to greet you at the airport, we’ll communicate with you beforehand. I’ll only organize it if I get your permission, and we’ll definitely keep it under twenty people. How does that sound?"
The others all nodded in agreement.
"Lily, we know you’re just worried about us, but if there are no offline events, we have no way to see you."
"Yeah, we’ll be very orderly, just like today."
Lily Sterling looked at their faces. Some of them still looked so young, their features yet to lose their childish roundness. ’They might not even be as old as I am.’
After thinking for a moment, she finally shook her head. "I’m very grateful to all of you, but please don’t organize events like this anymore."
’This is such a waste of everyone’s time and money,’ she thought. To Lily, the whole concept of "airport greetings" was utterly meaningless.
The mood visibly dropped.
Seeing their crestfallen faces made Lily’s heart ache, but she had to do what she believed was right. She couldn’t let these people selflessly devote themselves to her just for the sake of her own vanity or to generate buzz.
"Hey, don’t be sad," she said, trying to lift their spirits. "At least this trip wasn’t for nothing, right? My fear is that I won’t always be able to greet you like this in the future. But this time, at least, I could. I think we should all be happy about that. I didn’t let you all come here in vain."
Hearing her words, smiles began to spread across their faces again.
Lily was right. This trip was far from a waste. They had gotten to take individual photos with her, get her autograph, and even chat for so long.
It was so worth it!
"President, what’s your username? I’ll follow you back!"
Lily suddenly turned to Jared Keaton and asked.
Jared Keaton was stunned for a moment, then his face lit up with joy. "Really? It’s ’Lily Sterling Unofficial Fan Club’!"
"President, if Lily follows you back, you’re about to become official!" a fan joked.
Jared Keaton excitedly pulled out his phone and opened the account. His newest follower was, indeed, Lily Sterling.
He said, a bit sheepishly, "I haven’t really posted much content of you. It’s mostly just reposts of news from the production team and your old X posts."
"Well, of course. I’m just starting out, where would you even find that much content?" Lily looked at Jared Keaton and said with genuine gratitude, "Thank you. And thank you, everyone."
Jared Keaton looked at Lily, a distinct sparkle in his eyes, and shook his head. "Don’t say that. I just want to support you."
Just then, Lily’s phone suddenly rang. It was her sister.
"My dearest sister, you’ve landed, but I haven’t heard a peep from you! Are you home yet?"
"I ran into some fans at the airport! I’m heading back right now!"
After hanging up, she saw the sky outside had turned completely dark. Lily looked at the crowd and said, "You should all get going. Thank you for everything today."
With that, she was escorted by her team and walked briskly toward the parking garage. The fans didn’t follow, simply watching until she was out of sight.
"Lily is so nice."
"Beautiful inside and out, that’s for sure. We definitely picked the right person to stan."
"Even if there are no more airport greetings, we still came out way ahead. We got individual photos and autographs from Lily."
"Exactly! Lily is going to be a huge star someday. These photos and autographs we have will be one-of-a-kind."
"President, are we really not going to organize any more offline events? No more support projects, either?"
Jared Keaton pulled his gaze away from the direction she had gone and nodded. "We’ll respect Lily’s wishes in everything we do."
"President, I’m actually super curious... how did you know Lily’s flight information?"
The question made everyone turn to look at him.
Jared Keaton glanced at the group but didn’t answer. "You shouldn’t ask about that," he said simply.

At home, Cecilia Sterling knew her younger sister was coming home after wrapping up filming, so she’d made special arrangements. She hired a private chef to come cook a delicious, celebratory dinner and even invited Lily’s three former roommates.
But then that silly girl of hers had run into fans at the airport without saying a word, and now the food was getting cold, but she still wasn’t home.
Cecilia Sterling sighed softly as she looked at the table laden with delicious dishes. ’Oh, well. What can you do? Lily is my precious little sister, after all.’
’I’ve been waiting for ages for her to finally wrap filming. I guess I’ll just have to spoil her!’
After waiting for a while longer, Lily was finally dropped off by the company car. Hearing it arrive, Cecilia hurried out to greet her, with the three roommates following close behind.
"Sis!"
The moment Lily get out of the car and saw her sister, she forgot everything else and rushed forward to give her a huge bear hug.
Cecilia laughed and hugged her sister back. "Congratulations on wrapping things up. You’ve worked hard."
"Lily!"
Her roommates appeared in the doorway. Lily’s eyes widened in surprise, and she said in disbelief, "What are you guys doing here? Sis, you didn’t tell me!"
She then ran over to hug her three friends, getting so emotional that she started to cry, the tip of her nose turning red.
"Isn’t this a nice surprise? Though you took so long to get back that all the food’s gone cold."
Meanwhile, Finn was helping unload all of Lily’s luggage, and everyone else pitched in to drag it into the villa.
Cecilia wanted to ask Yuna and Finn to stay for dinner, but they were both eager to get home and politely declined her offer, so Cecilia didn’t insist.
Stepping back into the villa, Lily felt a strange sense of novelty, as if she’d never been there before.
It was no wonder. She had only stayed for less than half a month last time, and in the blink of an eye, nearly four months had passed. The place felt both familiar and strange.
"Lily, your sister said you ran into fans at the airport?" one of her friends asked.
"Your show hasn’t even aired yet, and you already have fans greeting you at the airport? Lily, you’re incredible!"
"Hurry up and tell us some fun stories from the set!"
The moment they sat down, her three friends couldn’t help but pepper her with curious questions.
Lily just smiled calmly. She reached for her bag, pulled out a file folder, and said, "Hold on, before we get to all that, I brought gifts for everyone."
She took out a stack of photos and placed them on the table—all autographed pictures of famous celebrities.
There was one of Yuna Sutton.
And Gideon Hale.
And Sophie Grant.
And even Andrew Sutton!
"AHHH!"
Her friends let out a collective shriek and lunged for the photos.
"Hey, hey, don’t grab! I got five of each, there’s enough for everyone!"
