The day after Yang Yunhai left, Gu Lingling went back to work.

She wanted to save her days off for when Yang Yunhai came back, so she could take leave and go stay with him on base.

"You came at just the right time." Seeing her walk in, Wang Yuan said with a smile, "We just got a task that needs people to go to Sea City for a few days. Any problem on your end?"

Sea City?

Gu Lingling shook her head.

"Good, then go home, pack up, the flight’s this afternoon," Wang Yuan said.

It wasn’t until she got on the plane that Gu Lingling found out there was a secret international conference being held in Sea City, and they needed a batch of professional interpreters. The team over there was short-handed, so they’d asked the Capital City for support.

"I heard it’s all some really big shots," Liu Ying whispered gossipily into Gu Lingling’s ear as they sat together on the plane.

Gu Lingling put a finger to her lips in a shushing gesture.

After spending so much time with Yang Yunhai, her sense of confidentiality was way stronger than Liu Ying’s.

Liu Ying stuck out her tongue, then started gossiping with Gu Lingling again. "Your wedding dress that day was seriously gorgeous. You know what? Those few were practically dying of jealousy."

Gu Lingling knew exactly which "few" she was talking about.

The two of them were still whispering when they heard Sun Fan behind them, lips pursed in a mumble, ask Gu Lingling, "Lingling, where did you buy the wedding dress you wore? I want to buy one like it for my wedding."

"And Tong Sha too, right? Tong Sha." Being called out, Tong Sha glanced at Gu Lingling. "That wedding dress wasn’t cheap."

"So what?" Sun Fan said. "I heard some wedding dresses can be rented. Worst case, we’ll rent one to wear when the time comes, right, Lingling?"

"But Tong Sha, you’re so skinny, I think you could just borrow Lingling’s wedding dress. You should be able to fit into it," Sun Fan said.

Besides, that wedding dress really was just too beautiful.

You could practically say that any woman who saw Gu Lingling’s wedding dress that day, not one of them wasn’t jealous.

If you could wear a wedding dress like that to get married, you could die happy.

Although Tong Sha really didn’t like the idea of wearing a wedding dress Gu Lingling had already worn, she couldn’t resist how stunning that dress was. Later on, when she passed by bridal shops, she’d even gone in to take a look—there wasn’t a single one she liked.

So even if she felt a bit resistant inside, getting married in a dress like that was still pretty good.

Plus, she’d heard the designer of that dress was a genius designer who was really famous even overseas—someone you could only meet by luck, not by searching.

So when she heard what Sun Fan said, Tong Sha’s heart fluttered a little too.

Even though she still wasn’t seriously thinking about marrying Tong Mingqiang right now.

"Sorry, that wedding dress can’t be loaned out," Gu Lingling said apologetically.

That wedding dress had been specially designed for her by Yang Yunhai; the meaning behind it was completely different. Let Tong Sha wear it?

Sorry, she did not have that kind of relationship with them.

"What’s the big deal, it’s just a wedding dress," Sun Fan muttered under her breath, then turned back and said.

"Just?" Liu Ying laughed mockingly. "If it’s ’just’ a wedding dress, then why are you asking Lingling to lend it to you?"

Sun Fan choked on that, then gave a sheepish smile. "I forgot. But Lingling, do you really know that Lalman? Could you introduce us to some nice wedding dresses? Preferably cheap ones."

"Cheap and nice?" Liu Ying laughed without holding back at all. "Sun Fan, did you not wake up properly this morning?"
