Reborn into the 70: Turning Adversity into Her Dazzling Path
Chapter 1367 - 1368: Filial Piety
Change one?
Gu Lingling almost tripped; luckily she grabbed the doorframe just in time and didn’t fall.
"What are you looking at?" Su Changsheng glared at he. "Change one? What, you think you’re picking cabbages at the market? Stop worrying about nonsense."
"I’m her grand‑uncle." Mr. Tian said.
"And I’m her maternal grandpa." Su Changsheng chimed in.
Okay, seriously, are they still going at it?
"What are you two doing?" Tian Wanfeng pushed the bedroom door open and walked out. "I was sleeping and I could still hear you arguing."
"I’d never argue with he." Su Changsheng hurriedly stood up and went over to support She. "Did we wake you? How can you come out without putting on something, wait for me."
With that, he went into the room, took a jacket and draped it over Tian Wanfeng’s shoulders.
Then he went to pour She some water.
He did all this so naturally that Mr. Tian thought, he must take care of Tian Wanfeng like this every day, that’s why it looks so effortless.
"Do you want a bit more?" Su Changsheng asked She gently.
Tian Wanfeng shook her head.
From her expression, she seemed fully awake now.
Seeing this, Gu Lingling thought that with Tian Wanfeng here, the two men probably wouldn’t start arguing again, so she felt at ease and went into the kitchen.
Lunch was plentiful, but all very light.
Around noon, Wang Xiaoqian came back. She froze for a second when she saw Mr. Tian, then smiled and said, "Mom, I’m back."
"Look what I brought you guys?" Wang Xiaoqian put the lunchbox on the table, grinning. "This is from our workplace’s lunch today. I just tasted a bite, it really has the flavor of our hometown, so I brought it back for you to try."
Wang Xiaoqian had now officially been accepted by Su Changsheng and Tian Wanfeng as their adopted daughter.
But she’s not someone who can sit idle. Having nothing to do at home makes her really uncomfortable, so the Su Family found her a job, just helping people organize things and such.
Having something to do made her feel much less anxious.
So today, the new cook at her workplace made a local snack from their hometown. Being very filial, Wang Xiaoqian remembered how Tian Wanfeng used to really like it, so after getting her meal, she rushed straight back.
Luckily her workplace is quite close to home.
She had put it in her bag and then held it in her arms, so when the lunchbox was opened, the food inside was still hot.
"I love this." Tian Wanfeng took a bite with a smile in her eyes. "It’s really good."
That expression was exactly the same as back when mother and daughter had depended on each other, every time she brought back something tasty and her mom tried it.
Wang Xiaoqian smiled as tears slipped down.
"Well, Mom," Wang Xiaoqian wiped her tears, "I still have to go back to work. You all hurry and eat this while it’s hot."
She turned to leave as soon as she finished.
But Tian Wanfeng grabbed She. "Eat, then go."
"You mustn’t go hungry." Tian Wanfeng looked at Wang Xiaoqian stubbornly.
"Auntie, sit down. I’ve cooked so much today, eat first then go." Gu Lingling said with a smile. "It’s fine if you get back to work a little late."
"All right then, I’ll try Lingling’s cooking." Wang Xiaoqian said, smiling.
She had only noticed there were guests at home after she rushed in.
"You’re Xiaoqian?" Mr. Tian asked. "I’m your mom’s older brother, so I’m your uncle."
Wang Xiaoqian froze.
Mom’s family has been found?
This was just too wonderful.
"Un... Uncle." Wang Xiaoqian called out, a little choked up.
She wasn’t alone anymore; she had so many relatives now.
That meal, everyone ate in such high spirits.
Even Su Changsheng and Mr. Tian didn’t argue. Instead, they silently competed over who could pick more food for Tian Wanfeng.
Gu Lingling just sat on the side, laughing.
