“I’m home!” Naruto announced his arrival as he slipped off his shinobi sandals and carefully placed them on the shoe rack.

Without turning her back, Yui spoke, “Naruto-kun, welcome back. Dinner is almost ready, and yes, I’ve prepared something like a feast since tomorrow is your graduation. Quickly wash your hands and freshen up for dinner, okay?”

“Really, you’re the best, Yui-nii-san!” exclaimed Naruto excitedly as he hurried to his room.

Just as he was about to leave, Yui interjected hastily, “Also, inform your Sensei that dinner is almost ready. He’s in his study.”

“You got it!” Naruto’s voice echoed from a distance.

A while later, the three of them gathered around the dinner table with a hotpot placed at the center. Naruto couldn’t help but salivate at the sight of the delicious dishes neatly arranged before him, his stomach growled in anticipation.

While Yui served rice and lentils in a bowl, Kuroto turned to Naruto and inquired, “So, Naruto… how did your date go?”

Naruto grinned in response, “It was fun…”

Kuroto blinked suspiciously and pressed further, “Where did you and Hinata go? What kind of things did the two of you do?”

Yui also looked at Naruto with curiosity, she was interested to know the details of their first date as she recognized this as excellent material for teasing Hinata when Naruto was not around.

“Oh… we went to the waterfall behind the Nara Forests and did some Chakra Controlling training exercises to improve my Chakra Control… Hinata is really good at controlling her Chakra, I didn’t know that!” Naruto replied enthusiastically.

“All Hyugas are very proficient in Chakra control…” Kuroto responded before quickly changing the subject, “Anyway, Chakra Control Exercise, okay… and what else?”

Naruto tilted his head in confusion, folding his arms as he recounted, “Well, we did some fishing too… but for some reason, Hinata did not want to use Chakra for that, so we had to rely solely on our basic skills. It was fun. Then we ate the fish we caught after grilling them, and also the sandwiches that Hinata had brought with her… oh, and we also talked a bit about Ramen, but she didn’t speak much since she hadn’t eaten much of the Ramen, I must take her to Ichiraku Ramen some day when I have time, she would definitely love the Ramen!”

Throughout this process, Naruto has certainly matured a lot.

Aside from Rasengan and Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu, if Kuroto were to include the ‘Summoning Jutsu’ and ‘Senjutsu’ to Naruto’s repertoire his current strength would be commendable. Following Kuroto’s guidance, Naruto shut his eyes, and suddenly, his consciousness was enveloped as Kuroto entered his plane of consciousness.

‘It’s a little different from the canon…’ thought Kuroto as he looked around Naruto’s place of consciousness. It was like an underground sewer network with dark passages, multiple water pipes, and various light sources. The difference is that the plane of consciousness is far brighter than it used to be in the canon.

Having entered the planes of consciousness of multiple individuals before, including Yui, Gaara, Shisui, Itachi, Shinichi, and Karin, Kuroto possessed the ability to perceive and comprehend a person’s emotions by observing their inner realm.

The brightness of one’s plane of consciousness serves as a reflection of their emotional state, with a brighter plane symbolizing happiness and cheer, while a dimmer one signifies loneliness and darkness. For instance, Yui’s inner realm manifests as a sunlit flowerbed, indicative of her contentment, whereas Gaara’s initial plane of consciousness appeared as a dark cave, reflecting his emotional turmoil at the time.

Naruto’s inner world, once dim and somber, has gradually brightened, signaling a shift away from loneliness and sadness.

Upon recognizing this transformation, Kuroto redirected his focus from the alleys to a distant source of gloomy Chakra. Following the trail, he soon found himself standing before the immense cells containing and suppressing the Nine-Tails.

“Is this the Nine-Tails?” Kuroto murmured, studying the colossal creature with its fiery orange fur and nine tails confined within the cell.

Though not his first encounter with a tailed beast, seeing the Nine-Tails for the first time in person was a striking experience for Kuroto. Looking at the nine-tails, Kuroto thought, ‘It’s exactly as I remembered from the Anime… moreover, the Chakra of the nine-tails is really quite overbearing and negative, huh?’

As Kuroto observed the imprisoned creature, the Nine-Tails sensed his presence and opened its eyes. Upon spotting Kuroto’s Hokage Haori, the Nine-Tails erupted in anger, smacking its metallic confines. “Damn you, Hokage!” it roared. Of all the individuals the Nine-Tails despises, aside from Uchiha Madara, the Hokages rank high on its list of animosity.

Unfazed by the Nine-Tails’ display of aggression, Kuroto remained composed. “I am aware that the sealing techniques of the Yondaime Hokage-sama do not entirely restrain you,” he stated calmly. “To some extent, you can influence Naruto and perceive what he sees, thus you should know my identity.”

With a cold snort, the Nine-Tails addressed Kuroto, “Godaime Hokage, Hyuga Kuroto!”

Kuroto nodded in agreement. “Correct,” he said, getting straight to the point. “The Akatsuki Organization already possesses the Two-Tails, the Four-Tails, the Five-Tails, the Six-Tails, and the Eight-Tails. According to my sources, they are planning to capture the remaining Jinchuriki, which means Naruto and you are also on their list of next targets.”

Upon hearing Kuroto’s words, the Nine-Tails remained nonchalant. However, its ears perked up, indicating its interest in what Kuroto would say next.
