Flying all the way, Kuroto soon arrived at the floating fortress, and unsurprisingly, he was welcomed by Karin and Gaara. “Kuroto-sama…”

“Hmm,” nodded Kuroto lightly. He observed the state of Gaara and Karin with a thoughtful expression, then said, “Two of you, come with me.”

The two children looked at each other in confusion and followed after him without asking much.

While walking through the corridors of Ancor Vantian, Kuroto recounted the tale of the Box of Ultimate Bliss to the children. “It was said to be able to grant the person who opens it any wish. However, that was simply a myth derived from people who were too desperate to put genuine efforts into their dreams. In reality, it simply corrupts whatever enters within its confines, and its origins can be traced back to the times of the Sage of Six Paths. A millennia ago, one of the Clans living in Kusagakure, whose origins can be, was able to nearly take over the world during that time.”

Karin’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Kusagakure had something so powerful?” She didn’t doubt Kuroto’s words; if he said such a thing existed, then it definitely did. There was no need to question it. It was just surprising that such a weak and worthless Shinobi village also possessed something so incredibly powerful.

Kuroto shook his head. “The Box of Ultimate Bliss itself is not that strong, and the same goes for the puppet. It’s just that they possess some skills that are very troublesome to deal with for most people. Once it corrupts someone, they simply become its puppets. The puppet itself is also very tricky to deal with for most people, hence the problem.”

Gaara immediately asked, “But, Kuroto-sama, there shouldn’t be any problem for you to deal with the Box and the puppet, right?”

Kuroto explained, “The Box of Ultimate Bliss was used twice against Konoha in the past decade, and each time the village suffered a lot of casualties. Although I sealed back the puppet inside the box both times, that wasn’t a permanent solution. I have been working on finding a permanent solution, and I have found a way. But for that, I need your help, Gaara.”

“My help?” Gaara pointed at himself in surprise. He doubted his capabilities. He didn’t think he was strong enough to deal with something that even Kuroto found a bit troublesome. These days, he couldn’t even keep up with Karin, let alone help Kuroto with that Box. However, since it was Kuroto who was requesting his help, even if he lacked confidence in himself, he was determined to do everything he could. “How can I be of help, Kuroto-sama?”

Kuroto said, “I want you to become the Jinchuriki of Satori.”

Kuroto had considered three methods to deal with Satori. The first method involved using the Tenseigan. By injecting Tenseigan Chakra into Satori, he could use the ‘Puppet-Cursing Sphere’ to control the puppet, similar to how Toneri controlled Hinata in canon. However, that would require him to directly command Satori at all times, similar to how Nagato commands his Six Paths of Pain. Kuroto found this method undesirable and troublesome. Moreover, there was a significant problem with this approach: whenever his soul was not in his main body, he wouldn’t be able to command Satori. Therefore, he decided not to pursue that method.

The second method involved allowing Karin to control Satori using the Yin-Yang Chakra receivers. This would simply make Satori one of the Six Paths of Samsara, which wouldn’t be a bad idea. However, there was a problem. Karin has yet to master the power of the Rinnegan to the extent that she could create the Six Paths. For now, she is only capable of using Shinra Tensei, Banshō Ten’in, Yin-Yang Chakra Receivers, and absorbing Chakra. Anything more than that, and she would end up emaciated, which Kuroto couldn’t afford. He wants Karin to stay perfectly healthy because he might need her to use ‘Rinne-Tensei no Jutsu’ just in case.

The third approach that came to his mind was to make someone the Jinchuriki of Satori. When it came to becoming the Jinchuriki, Gaara was naturally the most suitable choice. By becoming the Jinchuriki of Satori, Gaara, with his talent, would be able to completely master the powers of Satori. Once he did that, he would become as strong as Sage Mode Naruto. Combined with his Sand controlling skills and Magnet Release Kekkei Genkai, he would simply become a force to be reckoned with.

“But Kuroto-sama, I already have Shukaku sealed inside me… so would that even work?” asked Gaara doubtfully.

Kuroto nodded. “In fact, there is no problem with having more than one creature sealed inside of you at the same time.” Naruto possessed the Chakra of several Tailed beasts inside him at the same time, so there’s no problem for Gaara to possess the Chakra of several creatures at the same time either. And added, after a pause, “But you don’t have to be concerned, I am going to remove Shukaku from you, and seal it inside the teapot, meanwhile, I will put Satori inside of you.”

“But Kuroto-sama… wouldn’t that mean Gaara will?” Karin hurriedly asked in a worry. Stripping of a Tailed Beast from a Jinchuriki simply means death. She did not want Gaara to die this way…

Gaara also looked at Kuroto. He doesn’t mind dying while being useful to Kuroto, however, to die because of the Tailed beast being stripped of doesn’t sit right with him. He wants to be useful; he wants to help out.

Kuroto reassured Karin & Gaara, “Don’t worry… I do have a plan to make sure that Gaara does not die.”

Karin thought of something, and asked Kuroto, “Kuroto-sama, will I be using ‘Rinne-Tensei no Jutsu’ to resurrect Gaara?”

Once again Gaara looked at Kuroto with a worried expression. Rinne-Tensei no Jutsu simply means Karin’s death, he doesn’t want Karin to die in order to resurrect him.

Kuroto shook his head, “No, there are other methods of ensuring that Gaara stays alive.”

The ‘One’s Own Life Reincarnation’ that was created by Chiyo of Sunagakure, and the ‘Dragon Life Reincarnation’ that can be performed through the Kekkei Genkai of Ryūzetsu from Kusagakure, both these techniques Jutsu can be used to save people the life of a Jinchuriki by restoring their life force even after the Tailed Beast is stripped off from their body. In the canon, Chiyo used her ‘One’s Own Life Reincarnation’ to restore dying Gaara back to life, while Ryūzetsu used ‘Dragon Life Reincarnation’ to restore Naruto back to life at the Hōzuki Castle. Either of these Reincarnation Jutsu coupled with the Yang Chakra that can be restored using the Type-II Biological Armor, it would be possible to restore Gaara back to life.

In fact, when Kuroto was planning to leave behind a backhand for his own resurrection, he studied both of these techniques. It’s a pity that neither of these techniques would be very useful for him since they only restore life force, they don’t actually bring a person back from the dead. Only after learning this information did, he go to the painstaking effort of creating the pair of Rinnegan for Karin. If not for that, he wouldn’t have gone to such an extent.

Hearing Kuroto’s words, both Karin breathed a sigh of relief, and Gaara nodded, “I see, if that’s the case, then please seal Satori inside me, and make me its Jinchuriki. I will do my best to keep it under control and master its power,” said Gaara.

In fact, in his heart, just like Karin, he hoped to be of some use to Kuroto. After all, Kuroto not only saved him from death, but he also raised him and isolated Shukaku. If not for Kuroto, Gaara didn’t know what and where he would be. As such, he wanted to do everything he could to help out Kuroto.

Karin smiled as she looked at Gaara. Having grown up together, she too understood Gaara’s thoughts and what was in his heart. Both of them shared the same desire, and now that Gaara had the opportunity, she was happy for him.

Kuroto looked at Gaara, and nodded, “Very well.”

He then went to the Archive section of the Flying Fortress to retrieve a Scroll that he would need to use during his plan. Looking at the Scroll in his hand, Kuroto sighed, “When Miroku-sama left behind this scroll for me, I had never expected I would use it one day…”
