Feasible as it was, Gu Shuxin still had to put on a show of being reluctant to see Chu Lingxiu leave.

"I remember you don’t usually buy things like this, do you?"

"Mhm, they were gifts from someone else."

After what Chu Lingxiu said, Gu Shuxin hadn’t felt she could admit to buying them herself.

"Gifts from someone else? Qi Chengliang?"

Gu Shuxin had planned to just be vague about it, not expecting Chu Lingxiu to mention Qi Chengliang’s name directly.
