Chapter 401: An Exclusive Form of Address

With a blush, Shen Nian glared at Lu Cheng, then grabbed her clothes from the side of the bed. She got up and hurried into the bathroom.

’If he won’t look away, can’t I be the one to hide?!’

Although they had definitely bared all to one another last night, that didn’t mean Shen Nian could just casually strip and get dressed in front of Lu Cheng without her face flushing or her heart racing!

Lu Cheng watched Shen Nian scamper away and smiled brightly.

’My wife is so cute!’

As she took off her pajamas, she looked in the mirror at the mottled purple bruises on her body. Shen Nian couldn’t help but curse Lu Cheng under her breath.

By the time she had changed and come out of the bathroom, Shen Nian had calmed down considerably. ’She’s lived two lives already. Is she really going to be so embarrassed by their intimate contact last night that she can’t even face him?’

’Of course not. After last night, they’d clearly become even closer!’

Thinking about last night naturally led Shen Nian’s thoughts to the rumors that had been circulating around the corporation. Lu Cheng obviously knew about them already, but there were still some things she had to say and ask. Shen Nian certainly hadn’t forgotten about them.

’Doing this time and time again... do they really think I’m a pushover?!’

Lu Cheng’s words put Shen Nian’s mind at ease. ’Sure enough,’ she thought, ’Sister Jingyun was right. I just have to leave this to Lu Cheng, and I don’t need to worry at all.’

In fact, because of these incidents, her relationship with Lu Cheng had grown even closer.

Shen Nian had no plans to go out that morning, and neither did Lu Cheng. He stayed by her side.

He didn’t even let Shen Nian lift a finger to make lunch. He cooked the entire meal himself, following her directions.
