Chu Yunze didn’t argue with Gao Ruolan any further. Instead, he looked at Lu Cheng.

Lu Cheng looked at Shen Nian, gently squeezing her hand before he spoke.

"Stay here with Aunt Lan for a little while. I’m going to go say hello to Grandpa Chu."

"Okay, go on."

Shen Nian already knew about the relationship between Lu Cheng and the Chu Family from what he’d told her, so she understood they must have matters to discuss.

It wasn’t that Lu Cheng wanted to hide anything from her by not taking her along; it was just that this kind of occasion wasn’t appropriate for her to attend.

Gao Ruolan had indeed planted flowers in her backyard, and there were many of them, both in variety and quantity.
