Chapter 329: Let Me Help You

Meng Sijia silently blamed Shen Nian, never once considering that this was all her brother’s one-sided fantasy. Shen Nian hadn’t even given him a second glance!

"Yes, that’s her! I figured she might be in the Entertainment Department, or maybe another employee at the Group, but I never imagined she’d be a family member!"

As Meng Chengyu spoke, he felt a pang of regret. ’A knockout like that, and I was a step too late,’ he thought.

"Hmph. Chengyu, do whatever you want. But remember, a woman like that can absolutely never marry into our Meng Family!"

"Sis, it’s way too early to talk about that! Besides, didn’t I tell you? She’s still a virgin! Completely untouched! I have to say, though, I never expected it. Lu Cheng has been married to her for so long but has never even touched her!"

Meng Sijia’s eyes lit up when she heard what Meng Chengyu said. Lu Cheng and Shen Nian had been married for so long. And it wasn’t as if they’d never spent the night together, yet Lu Cheng had never even touched her!

’Doesn’t that mean Lu Cheng doesn’t even like his wife? Otherwise, how could he resist a woman that beautiful? How could he not even touch her?’

The more she thought about it, the more convinced Meng Sijia became that her suspicions—and her recent decision—were correct.

’Since Lu Cheng doesn’t even like Shen Nian, what I’m doing is basically freeing him from his misery. He might even thank me for it later!’

"You need to be careful. You’re not an employee at the Group’s headquarters yet, so don’t just show up whenever you want. You don’t want to give anyone ammunition against you. But if that’s the case, how are you going to get close to her?"

"Don’t worry! She has to leave the building sometime. I have my ways. All I need is for you to give me more intel on her. Just let me know whenever she leaves the Group."

"Alright."

"Since we’re already out, Sis, why don’t we head home? You haven’t been back in a while."

"Fine, let’s go home for a bit. As it happens, there are some things I need to discuss with the family anyway."

"Let’s go, then."

With that, the siblings Meng Sijia and Meng Chengyu left.

Long after they were gone, a figure with a shocked expression emerged from nearby the spot where they had been standing.

Lu Cheng and Shen Nian were completely unaware of the schemes Meng Sijia and Meng Chengyu were hatching against them.

After the Meng siblings left, Shen Nian and Lu Cheng paid no more mind to the crowd of onlookers and headed upstairs.

Once they were home, Shen Nian put the whole incident out of her mind.

"Just hang on a minute. Dinner will be ready soon."

With that, Shen Nian went into the kitchen. She had already done all the prep work, so all that was left was the stir-frying, which wouldn’t take long.

After Shen Nian went into the kitchen, Lu Cheng didn’t wait outside as she had suggested. Instead, he followed her in.
