Chapter 312: There Won’t Be Any Loss

Just as Lu Cheng was wondering if Shen Nian was angry, he noticed that although she had turned her back to him, she had still left half the bed empty.

’She left it for me, right? She must have!’ As soon as this thought popped into his head, Lu Cheng’s heart swelled with happiness.

’Shen Nian isn’t angry with me. And she even left room for me. She wants to sleep with me!’

’This is enough. As long as I can always be with Shen Nian, as long as I can see her the moment I open my eyes, this is all I need!’

Lu Cheng contentedly closed his eyes. He was so easily satisfied right now. However, one day in the not-too-distant future, when our dear Mr. Lu is forced to spectacularly eat his own words, thinking back to this moment will surely be a uniquely... exquisite experience!

"I went to the office to report in. I’ll be back to have lunch with you."

’That silly man. It would have been perfectly fine to wake me! I slept so well last night, but I wonder how he slept?’

’Oh well, what’s done is done. Since Lu Cheng said he’ll be back for lunch, I’ll just go out, buy some groceries, and make a nice meal to treat him!’

Having made up her mind, Shen Nian quickly washed up, grabbed a quick bite to eat, and headed out the door.

Once outside her building, Shen Nian ran into quite a few residents from the family compound. After yesterday’s incident, she had gained a certain reputation in the compound, and many people now recognized her.

For them, yesterday’s dramatic reversal had been quite a show!

Besides, someone with Liu Fanglan’s personality had offended plenty of people in the residential compound long ago. While most of them wouldn’t normally dare to act out, many were quite happy to see her taken down a peg.

So, in a way, Shen Nian had helped many of them vent their frustrations. Combined with her status as Lu Cheng’s wife, it was only natural that plenty of people were curious about her.
