The entire Qin family was stunned.

Was their daughter-in-law really that amazing? She knew how to fix airplanes?

"Wait—Mingxue knows how to fix airplanes?"

Qin Wenying raised an eyebrow. "Of course. With a daughter-in-law like her—you guys must have done something great in a past life."

Mrs. Qin was speechless.

’How could this darn girl talk like that?’

’Even if we did do something great, you can’t just say it so bluntly!’

’Besides—shouldn’t she be saying her brother, Qin Wenhao, was the one who did something great?’

Her eyes darted over, and her brow twitched in alarm.

’Why is this darn girl still holding the two kids under her arms?’

And she herself had almost forgotten about that.

The two children, too—being held like that, they surprisingly weren’t crying or making a fuss.

"Hurry and put the kids down."

"Oh, I forgot about them." After saying that, Qin Wenying set the two children down.

"Such good kids. Later, I’ll have Grandma give you some candy as a reward."

She couldn’t reward them herself; after all, she didn’t have any candy on her.

"Mom, remember to give it to them."

Mrs. Qin was speechless again.

"You must be hungry. Let’s eat first."

Qin Wenying figured finding Fu Mingxue could wait a little while.

Besides, she was genuinely starving.

"Alright, let’s eat first. I’m starving to death."

Mrs. Qin told her to go wash her hands, then went to the kitchen to help Aunt Li bring out the dishes.

When Qin Wenying returned from washing her hands and sat down, she finally noticed two people were missing—Qin Wenze and Gao Lan weren’t there.

"Where are Qin Wenze and Gao Lan? Did they go visit her parents?"

Mrs. Qin remembered that she didn’t know what had happened at home recently.

"They moved out. Let’s eat first; we can talk about it later."

Qin Wenying was bewildered.

’Moved out? What’s that all about?’

’Gao Lan was actually willing to move out?’

But, first things first—food was the priority.

She wolfed down three large bowls of white rice in a row.

The corner of Mrs. Qin’s mouth twitched.

’Finding a husband for her in the future... is probably going to be really difficult.’

Thankfully, they had cooked a lot of rice today; otherwise, there wouldn’t have been enough for everyone.

"I’m going to the university to find Mingxue." As for the family gossip, she really had no interest in hearing it.

’It’s for the best that they moved out.’

’Now I can come back to visit more often.’

Seeing that she was about to leave, Mr. Qin said, "She might not be at the university."

Qin Wenying turned around. "Huh? She’s not at the university? Then where is she? At the research institute?"

"I don’t know." Mr. Qin genuinely didn’t know.

Mrs. Qin thought of something and immediately said, "She might be at that... what’s it called... First Auto Factory. Why don’t you just wait for her to come back? You just got here and must be tired. Go wash up and get some sleep first. Otherwise, were you planning to leave tonight?"

Qin Wenying paused.

’Well, that was the plan.’

’Of course, she had to get things settled with Fu Mingxue first.’

Just then, Qin Wenze walked in.

When he saw Qin Wenying, a look of pleasant surprise appeared in his eyes. "Wen Ying, you’re back too!"

Qin Wenying rolled her eyes. "I’m a whole person standing right here, did you not see me? Or are you seeing my ghost?"

The moment she said that, Mrs. Qin smacked her on the back of the head. "What a thing to say! Spit, spit, spit. No harm in a child’s words."

Qin Wenying was dumbfounded.

’Does my mom even know how to use that phrase? The "child" in "a child’s words"?’

’Just how old of a "child" does she think I am?’

Qin Wenze was used to his little sister’s confrontational way of talking, so he didn’t mind at all.

Just then, Mrs. Qin asked him, "Why are you here?"

Her tone was one of undisguised disdain.

Qin Wenze was taken aback.

"Mom, I came to discuss something with you."

The moment he said this, Qin Wenying was no longer in a hurry to leave.

She was curious to hear what this "dear" big brother of hers had to say.
