Jacob knew exactly what he was going to do, and it was pretty easy. He was sure that a lot of people in this world knew very little or nothing about video cameras, especially not gods and goddesses, whose job was specifically not to care about such mundane things.

What he was going to do was install a video camera in his room and record whenever the woman decided to make a move again. There were only two factors that would hinder this.

One of them was that since Elyssara had already tried to take advantage of him directly in his room, she might employ some other tactic and decide to do it somewhere else. And unless he turned his own eyeball into a video camera, it would be very obvious that he had a recording device following him around.

The second factor was that he was not even sure if being a goddess would make her imperceptible to any device that tried to capture her. She possessed otherworldly beauty, something that would make any regular man crumble instantly, and as such, Jacob did not know if her status would make her imperceptible to a camera.

Even after considering these two factors, he still decided it was worth a try and manifested a working video camera in his hand. He endeavored to make it as small as possible. He also gave it a white color so it could blend effortlessly into the color of the walls and remain highly unnoticeable.

…

When he had finally placed it on the wall, he sighed. It had been a very close call today. If he didn’t have the power of , then he would have been raped by that mad woman tonight, against his will as well.

Jacob lay back on his bed and manifested a deck of cards in his grasp, then began shuffling through them in different ways.

Now that she had disturbed his sleep, he had nothing but his thoughts to keep him awake. He had essentially only spent four days in the Tower of Sun, and the record for the longest run was twenty-one days.

He was already on level forty-five, which meant that he was probably moving faster than anyone had ever done, and it was all due to the sheer amount of luck he possessed.

While he lay there, he decided to check on the people he had left back at home. He would first check on his family.

Jacob instantly created a skill that could allow him to watch people from any distance, as long as his mind was focused on them. The skill would be called .

He checked on his parents first. He soon discovered that the both of them were engaging in marital relations, while Luke slept like a log in his cot, and he bolted as quickly as a deer being chased by a lion. That was the least of the things he wanted to see.

He moved on to Alaric and Esty, but being old people, they were already soundly asleep, so there was nothing to see or hear there other than their snoring. He now realized that Alaric snored very loudly. Frankly, he wondered how his grandmother had put up with it for this long.

He moved his Boundless Sight according to priority. He had time, so he would make sure to cover everyone before finally attempting to return to sleep.

The next person on the list was unarguably Xenia. He shifted his gaze to her, and there she was, in a colorful nightdress, her short red hair resting just above her shoulders as she bit the tip of a pen and studied her journal. She had gotten into journal writing immediately after their experience at the World Tree. In her words, it helped her efficiently remember all the ways in which she had fulfilled her duty, and also ensured she never forgot the amazing adventures they had been on.

A dimly lit candle burned close to her face. It was the only source of illumination in the dark room, providing her with enough light to read. She was beautiful, very much so. Jacob was glad to know that she was doing okay.

The next person would unarguably be Violet. He had not checked on Violet even once during the four days he had spent here, and as unjustified as it was, he had his reasons. Especially since she was part of the reason why he had rejected Elyssara’s advances.

He focused on her and was instantly transported to the world that was her room in the dormitory of the Mountain Elite Academy. It was pink, in the way the room of a modern teenage girl would be. It also suggested the amount of privilege she received as a result of her lineage being deeply rooted in nobility.

Violet lay flat on her small mattress, covered by pink and white bedsheets, and swung her legs in the air. Her purple hair was tucked behind her back in a very attractive manner, and her hazel eyes were focused on the manual spread out before her. As expected, she was studying for the class the next day.

Jacob had already gotten lost while watching her. She was insultingly beautiful, the type that could make a man abandon everything for a lifetime with her alone. Her porcelain skin was exposed in just the right way. Jacob had been there for what seemed like forever when suddenly… the girl’s ears perked up, as though she had heard something.

She instantly turned around but found nothing. She maintained her gaze for a while, but still there was nothing there, so she returned to her studies.

Jacob had no need to check on Allicent. He would check more thoroughly on his parents and little brother the next morning, as they were occupied right now.

After everything he saw, he was pleased with how everyone was doing and with the fact that there was currently no imminent danger, so he could now focus on his mission here, complete it, and return to them.
