Chapter 997  Plenty of charge

Weapon in hand, Michael faced the charging Horse head-on. A suicidal act on most cases, but not this time.

With multiple charged [Batteries] in his chest, he had a lot of Aubility Power ready to be used. This included his most powerful technique, taught to him by Harbinger himself.

Quantum Slash.

He poured Aubility Power onto his sword, reality starting to warp around its very edges.

The increased gravity within these rifts in the fabric of reality created an incandescent glow around the Unity Saber, making it look otherworldly. It became a weapon worthy to slay celestial bodies in half.

With this monstrous technique in hand, Michael swung his Unity Saber just as the ghastly Horse charged towards him.

The unstoppable force met the all-destroying object.

A shockwave of Aubility Power exploded out of the clash, sending everything flying outwards.

Michael felt his grip on his Unit Saber shake. Even with his increased cultivation, his body still seemed ill-equipped to handle such a powerful technique—especially if he was fighting against a bullish Nascent Spirit Diva head on.

But he persevered. His face twisting in pain and pure defiance, he pushed the Unity Saber against the ghastly horse’s face.

Its abhorrent face grimaced as it faced the space-tearing effects of the Quantum Slash.

Its indomitable skin began to break. Aubility Power threads started to unravel from its forehead.

Shock and pure disbelief flashed across the horse’s face as it realized that it couldn’t take the Unity Saber’s force any more than this.

It exhaled sharply, before it disengaged Michael and retreated to the far ends of the room.

In an instant, Michael felt no resistance against his weapon. However, he couldn’t stop his own momentum as the Unity Saber completed its swing, unleashing a space-tearing slash in front of him.

It shot through the room, reaching the cobblestone wall.

A huge dust of debris burst out of the wall as the Quantum Slash created an explosion that shook the very foundation of the Stronghold itself.

As the dust settled, rubble filled the room, some completely extinguishing the fire left behind by the horses’ trails.

A childish smile escaped from Michael’s face.

That felt very good.

He looked at the ghastly Horse Diva in front of him, who looked the exact opposite of him at the moment.

Its head was almost split open, its injuries fraying with Aubility Power threads.

Its countenance was a mixture of anger, shock, and fear.

The human boy was proving to be a tremendously dangerous opponent.

It was at this moment that the other ghastly Horse Diva broke off from its stalemate with Alpha.

The destructive Quantum Slash completely changed the situation on the battlefield.

The Horse Diva knew that their victory depended on the human boy’s death.

They skidded their hooves on the ground, ready to attack him from opposite sides.

Now Michael could defend himself with his Quantum techniques, but he knew he couldn’t pull it off indefinitely. He didn’t have enough [Batteries] for that.

Thankfully, he didn’t have to.

“Charlie, do it.”

With his words, a new shadow emerged into the battlefield.

Unbeknownst to the two horses, an insignificant Unity Clone had snatched away the two corpses and ripped out the Artifice from their chests.

Charlie held a chunk of Anthracite iceberg in his hands.

And with one swift move, he pushed it towards his chest, taking on the Artifice.

The Horse Divas watched as a new transformation took place within the Unity Clone.

Black tendrils emerged out of Charlie’s chest as the Artifice tried to corrupt its host.

But in the next second, a prismatic light emanated out of the Unity Clone, incinerating the lucifugous black tendrils. They winced and retreated back into the Artifice. Unfortunately for them, even that couldn’t save them from Unity.

Aubility Power emanated out of Charlie as his cultivation soared from the 1st stage, to the 2nd, all the way to the 9th stage and even surpassing that entirely!

He reached a new realm. A pseudo Nascent Spirit cultivator.

The ghastly Horse Divas snarled at the new addition to their opponents.

Charlie wasn’t powerful enough to kill a genuine Nascent Spirit Diva, even if it was only a piece.

But it was enough to turn the tides of this battle.

Charlie and Alpha arrived right next to Michael, their powers surging out of their body.

The ghastly Horses disappeared into a line of flames, charging towards Michael.

But it was at that moment that Alpha and Charlie intercepted them, clashing head on with the beasts.

The Unity Clones created a brief stalemate with the ghastly horses. It wouldn’t last long, but a few moments was what Michael needed.

He raised his Unity Saber and teleported to the side, lining up the two Horse Divas in front of him.

Reality began to warp around his blade, its edges turning incandescent.

The [Battery] in his heart spooled out Aubility Power towards his Unity Saber, empowering it with enough energy as a Nascent Spirit.

But he didn’t stop there.

He reached down into the rest of his [Batteries] and even continued to source more energy directly from his GodForge-filled heart.

And this time, it wasn’t just his blade that reality began to warp around.

Even his wrist began to twist and morph.

Taking a deep breath, Michael readied himself to do something he’d never done before.

He was going to combine his two Quantum techniques.

A Quantum Slash supplemented by a Quantum Step.

He didn’t even know if it would work, but he knew he had to try it. This was the only way he was going to kill two Nascent Spirit Divas in one shot.

With Alpha and Charlie starting to slip against the raging, inexorable force of the two charging Horse Divas, he knew he didn’t have time to hesitate.

He had to do it, now or never.

He raised his Unity Saber above his head and used all of his energy to slash it forward.

As the blade cut through reality itself, his body suddenly disappeared, reappearing at the other end of the room having completed his swing.

At his wake, a complete slashing of reality cut through the two horses.
