The male leader exploded in anger. Smoke appeared above his head, forming the visage of a large, hunching skeleton monster with blades for its hands.
He shot towards Michael, his speed so fast that his body turned completely horizontal as he charged.
He unsheathed his sword, a freezing chill smoking off of its blade.
From his perspective, Michael looked like his eyes haven’t even responded to his move.
The man swung his identical swords.
Visible chilling wind slashes appeared in the air, before flying off into completely different directions.
Some of them completely missed the mark. They hit the walls. But instead of cutting through them, the chilled wind slashes bounced off back into the fray.
The man continued to create wind slashes. Each one of them bounced all over the room, seemingly gaining momentum with each ricoche they achieved.
Meanwhile, the woman remained silent, suddenly moving her head just in time as one of the slashes came towards her.
She could barely even see the slashes. The boy certainly couldn’t even react to them.
Michael finally moved. He reached down into his pockets, retrieving multiple Iron Switches inside.
Then, he threw them into the Chilling Wind Slashes with complete accuracy.
The man scoffed.
But as soon as the switches hit the slashes, they suddenly stopped in place.
The man stumbled forwards as he felt his own power get cut off from his Artifice. This was an unfamiliar and unnerving feeling.
Michael continually threw his switches, hitting a Wind Slash.
It wasn’t long before the entire room became filled with stagnant wind crescents in the air.
“WHAT?!”
Finally, they looked up above at the boy’s head and saw the image of a headless mechanical structure. It was his Diva. incomplete, and only at the precipice of the upper stages of the Body Formation realm.
Yet, the boy could somehow stop the man’s Aubility Power just like that!
This was impossible!
And in their shock, Michael raised his hand, pointing his index finger at the staggered Ersatz Platinum leader.
His fingertips glowed prismatic.
Then, the Unity Beam shot straight towards his target’s head.
The man instinctively ducked away, but the prismatic beam still shot through the side of his head, completely obliterating his ears.
“ARGH!” he screamed, holding his bleeding head.
The woman finally realized the dire situation they were in. The boy was not as simple as they thought.
She took out the ribbon bow from her forehead, straightening it in her hands.
Above her, the image of an animated giant anaconda appeared. The rest of its body was coiled, hissing, and ready to pounce at Michael.
She whipped her ribbon towards him, hoping to give her counterpart enough time to recover.
The ribbon slithered in the air, extending magically towards Michael.
It wrapped around his entire body, constricting him like a snake who caught its prey.
She tightened her grip. He won’t be able to use that weird power he used any time soon. Her Snake Diva constricted his bloodstream and his Aubility Power threads.
But unbeknownst to her, a prismatic mote of light appeared behind her.
The Mini Drone materialized in a split second as it shot its Unity Gun straight at the woman’s back.
She staggered forwards, her grip on the ribbon loosening.
Michael shrugged it off.
Just then, the man appeared behind him. His double sword emanated a cold chill.
As the sword swung to his neck, his body turned into an amorphous shadow, slithering away from harm.
The man chased after him. But behind him, another Mini Drone appeared and shot him in the shoulder.
“Be careful of those invisible creatures!” the woman warned.
The man turned back, swinging his swords mindlessly into the air. He bombarded the entire area with Chilling Wind Slashes, hoping to catch one of those creatures off guard.
And somehow, one did.
A cold wind struck the Mini Drone, dropping its invisibility for a brief second.
But before the freezing cold permeated into the metal, a protective bubble protected it from harm.
Against this protective shield, the man’s Wind Slash disintegrated into mere mist.
“WHAT?!”
Not only was his attack ineffective, this also caused him to become vulnerable for a brief second.
Michael raised his hand, aiming for another Unity Gun.
Just then, the woman’s slithering ribbon wrapped around his wrists.
She tugged on her ribbon, trying to pull Michael towards her.
Michael staggered for a bit, before he reached into his pocket and retrieved something made out of carbon.
He plopped this new block onto the woman’s ribbon. And suddenly, it began to shiver and recoil back into the woman’s hand.
“Snake?! What are you doing?!”
Her ribbon was completely reversing its movements! And now, it’s wrapped back into her hands.
This was the power of the [Reverse Block]!
With his hands free, Michael shot his Unity Gun at the man straight into his chest.
The man winced, pinching the hole in his chest to prevent it from bleeding out.
On the other hand, the woman finally took control back of her ribbon snake just in time as a Mini Drone manifested above her.
Just as it was about to release its Unity Beam, she whipped her ribbon towards it, wrapping it around the cannon.
The Unity Beam shot its prismatic bullet nonetheless. It hit her ribbon square, making her wince. But since it was still a Mithril Relic, the bullet didn’t pass through it.
Ignoring the pain of her snake, she pulled the Drone towards her.
She finally grabbed it with both her hands, triumphant.
Michael appeared behind her. Her eyes widened, before she looked down into her stomach.
A solid prismatic beam burned through her torso.
Feeling the weakness from her body, she fell on her knees.
The giant anaconda snake above her lost its color, disappearing back into mist.
Her ribbon plopped lifelessly into the ground as her life began to fade away.
“DAMN YOU!” the man screamed towards him.
Michael retrieved his Unity Saber, meeting the man’s dual swords head on.
Mithril and Unity clashed.
And a second later, beams of prismatic light shot down towards the man, killing him instantly.
