Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 954 Sold as a set

Chapter 954  Sold as a set

After dealing with the eccentric Romeo Flameheart, Michael, Lady Farren, and Yuna all went back home. Of course, Romeo offered his ‘beloved’ a place to sleep in his tower, but she declined, making an excuse about her responsibilities in the Elven Village.

Michael accompanied Yuna back to her place, which was located on one of the only human settlements in New Sparta. As part of the conglomerates and the upper echelon, she was given her own bungalow house in the boundary between the upper quadrants.

“So… see you tomorrow?” he asked her.

“Yes. I’ll be waiting,” she said, tucking her hair behind her ears. Then, silence permeated between them. Michael didn’t know if he should leave or not. Yuna still hadn’t entered through the door. He didn’t know if she was waiting for him to leave as well, causing the two to be trapped in a cycle.

“Hey, I was just kidding,” she said.

“About what?”

“My tantrum. I’m going to be Reborn’s Arbiter,” she decided. “…if you’ll have me.”

“Of course,” he replied. “I’ll always want you.”

Despite the night blowing cold air through New Sparta, Michael felt quite warm and comfortable during this time. Yuna seemed to as well, seeing as there was a hot blush on her cheeks.

“…goodbye!” she hurriedly said, turning around and slamming the door behind her.

This left Michael a little bit shocked, not knowing what he did wrong.

Soon, he left.

And Yuna slid down from the door, her back leaned against it. Her heart was beating through her chest, a smile forming on her face. Whenever his face flashed in her mind, she couldn’t help but smile.

The next day, the rumors about the historian Keo were immediately being spread around every circle. The fact that the famous Professor of the Ancient Era actually took on a student was more than enough for people to be surprised to the point of disbelief. But then, that story was supplemented with the fact that Keo actually had allies with all five Beastfolk races, and people quickly wanted to dismiss it as a myth.

Of course, if there weren’t multiple sources that witnessed the whole thing with their own eyes, then nobody would believe it.

And these were not normal people. These were youths with a considerable background. The Legacies were one of them. Once Alaric confirmed the story, nobody could declare it as a lie anymore.

Now, there were a lot of things to be discussed because of the ‘Keo’ incident, but perhaps one of the most important pieces of information being disseminated was about the eccentric Draconian, Romeo.

This self-proclaimed romantic was famous for a reason. He, himself, was a powerhouse when it came to physical strength and wealth. But so were the other Draconians.

The reason why Romeo was infamous was because of his last name. Flameheart. Or more specifically, people were interested in the Draconian who shared his last name.

She held an importance that related to all Draconians themselves. She held an authority, mandated by the Dragon Queen herself.

Of course, because of her position, many people wanted to create connections with her. However, it seemed that being eccentric was carried down the Flameheart lineage. She was famous for having weird tastes for items and treasures, and no ordinary one could please her.

Even Sand Dollars, Soo drops, or even Nascent Spirit armors couldn’ satisfy her.

That was why most people gave up on searching for her directly. They instead chose to focus on his brother, who she doted on as if he was her own son.

Now, Romeo was eccentric himself, but not as much as his older sister. So, people tried to please him in the hopes of getting to his older sister.

No one has been able to achieve that. That was until yesterday.

Because of that, the name Keo was quickly spread around New Sparta as a person of interest.

Even a certain blind old woman was intrigued by his feats.

Even a certain Orc holding a spear was interested in meeting him.

Meanwhile, Michael, the subject of all the discussions early in the day of New Sparta, started his day relatively slow.

Following his routine, he immediately transported himself into his Drone’s Subspace, immediately heading towards the [Isolated Rooms] so that he could check on the progress and refill the water tanks.

Holding a coffee cup in his hands, he yawned as he looked over the computer screen showing the CCTV footage for all eight Darkwood farms.

His eyes furrowed, seeing nothing but a dark screen on each one.

Then, as his sleepiness waned and his mental faculties refreshed, he finally realized what he was looking at.

“It’s done!” he screamed out, almost spilling his coffee.

Excited, he immediately headed for the door, pushing the 1st floor on the elevator-esque controls.

Then, he entered into the [Isolated Room], finding himself staring at a grand collection of intertwined vines spiraling up to the top and spreading to the ceiling.

The Darkwood had finally matured! It’s ready for harvest!

Of course, he didn’t let his excitement get ahead of him. He first followed all the protocols on how to harvest the Darkwood, carefully prying the actual item from the vines and making sure not to rip out any branch before that.

And as he carefully ripped out the last intertwined vines from the Darkwood, he yanked it out of the tree and held it in his hands.

It was perfect.

“YES!!!!”

He exited out of the room and pushed the second floor, before harvesting the next Darkwood.

He continued this harvesting spree until he had all eight crops in his hands.

If he were to sell these to the Elves, he would earn a whopping 1.6 million Sand Dollars!

But… if he installed these Darkwood onto Mithril Compound Bows and sold it to them as a set, then he’d be able to sell them for half a million a pop.

That would be 4 million Sand Dollars in total!
