Chapter 819: Million dollar app
Chapter 819: Million dollar app
Michael stared at the dragon’s hoard of Sand Dollars in the chest.
All in all, there were a million of them in front of him!
He knew that he’d get a lot of Sand Dollars from selling the phone, but he didn’t expect that he would get it from the Dwarves.
After all, he thought that they didn’t even have Sand Dollars in the first place because they were so isolated from the world. He was fully prepared to give them a special price where they could purchase the phone using gold coins, but it seemed he didn’t have to worry.
How do these guys have this much Sand Dollars?!
“Lord Michael, you said that this phone needs Mithril, correct? Trust that the entirety of the Dwarven Kingdom will help you produce as much as you need.
This phone… this beer delivery of yours is something that all Dwarves would need!”
The Dwarves became rabid as they tried to snatch the phones away from each other.
Meanwhile, Michael heard the sound of bells continuously ringing in his ears as all the beer orders came directly towards him.
The Dwarves ordered beer by the barrels, completely overwhelming his senses. He had to temporarily disable the notification in his mind.
“This is exciting!”
“I wonder when my beer will be delivered?”
Michael didn’t have the heart to tell them that there was no one delivering their beer yet.
He only created the {Reborn Eats} app as a mock product to showcase the idea. He hadn’t actually made any kind of arrangements about how it would work. It was just a passing thought because he wanted to copy a certain popular food delivery app back in his previous life.
But with the Dwarves so eager in ordering beer, I guess I really have to make the app now, he decided.
He made a mental note to have Sheina and Castelle start arranging the {Reborn Eats} app.
But just then, he suddenly heard the sounds of two distinct chimes, one coming from inside his head and another coming from the phone in his hands.
He looked down and was surprised to see that it was a text message from the Duchess.
{Saw your new app. Check your orders,} she said.
And just like she said, ChatJK5 informed him that someone ordered a truck-load of RD Soda from the {Reborn Eats} app.
How did she find out about it so fast?
Anyway, he decided to take the million-dollar chest from the Dwarves and left them celebrating on their own. He was afraid that if he stayed there for a little bit longer, they would have asked for more phones, which he wasn’t ready to produce yet.
So, after thanking them for the business, he teleported out of the castle and back into the Nation of Reborn.
It seemed that his intuition was correct as right after he left, many Dwarves soon swarmed the castle gates in an attempt to get a phone of their own. He didn’t know how, but the rumors about the beer delivery spread around their kingdom faster than lightning.
Michael would never underestimate the Dwarves again when it comes to drinking beer.
…
…
…
After returning to the Nation, he immediately had a meeting with Sheina and Castelle and discussed the {Reborn Eats} app.
They had to create an entirely new chain of delivery within the Nation, as well as employ hundreds more delivery drivers that were stationed around the Dwarven Kingdom.
After that, he wanted to get started on creating the phones that he owed from his customers.
So, from early morning till late at night, he got on to manufacturing the phones.
Of course, he wasn’t doing it alone. He had the help of his five clones, each one doing different jobs like a factory.
The complexity of the technology made it a time-consuming effort, trying to make sure everything fit perfectly and that all circuits worked in tandem with the Unity Power Source.
But despite their coordinated efforts, Michael was only able to create 30 phones by the end of his shift.
He owed 120 in total, meaning that he would need three more days of nonstop work if he wanted to complete everything.
That wasn’t efficient. As the owner of a budding nation, there were a lot of things he’d be better off doing, especially in New Sparta.
Thankfully, he could entrust most of it to his clones.
By themselves, they could make about 15 phones a day, which meant that he could passively create those 120 phones in less than a week.
It’s better than me doing it, he thought.
Still, all this hard work was well worth it.
He now had 1,661,523 Sand Dollars in his inventory. It was surreal to think that he was struggling to get just 10,000 Sand Dollars before, but now, he had more than a million lying in his pockets.
What should I even do with this money?
His first thought was upgrading his Drone to the max.
After looking at the [Drone Upgrade Shop], he calculated that he needed less than 50 drops of Soo to buy everything that was possible. Of course, that wasn’t taking into account the next tiers of upgrades for the Drone, but even then, he’d still have about a million Sand Dollars left for him to spend.
It’s time for me to buy GodForge pieces, he decided.
He planned on advancing Fudge, Sheina, and Jaku to the latest stage they could achieve.
Of course, even with this much money, he couldn’t just spend his way to making them into a 9th stage Maugnetic. They had to naturally awaken their new Aubility Powers before they could advance to the next stage.
By his estimation, they could freely go up to the 3rd stage before hitting a wall.
It would cost about 50,000 Sand Dollars each to go from the 1st stage to the 3rd stage, so he’d have to spend 150,000 in total, which wasn’t bad at all.
Wow… I can’t believe I’m now worrying about how to spend my Sand Dollars.
After taking it all in, he composed himself.
I’ll need to find Serena if I want to exchange my Sand Dollars into Soo drops.
He remembered hearing about her visiting the lake. She was probably meeting with her brothers and sisters right now.
As for GodForge pieces, I guess I’ll have to look in New Sparta for a company willing to sell theirs.
There were a lot of other things he needed to do.
First, he needed to honor the Duchess’ wishes to keep Metropolis at the top. To do that, he needed to meet with the Brownbloods and ally himself with them.
Then, he also needed to find the next Antique. To do that, he needed to meet with the Elves and negotiate business with them.
Last but not least, he needed to find the Dwarven King somewhere in New Sparta. Even the Dwarves had no idea where he was, so he would have to just keep his eyes and ears open for a Dwarf shouting about beer—which shouldn’t be too hard.
All in all, one thing was clear. He needed to go to New Sparta.
