Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito
Chapter 2891 - 31: Daring to Insult My Father!?
"Don’t say stuff like that. No matter what the reason is, the reality now is we can’t dump this, and we even have a Galaxy Level Middle Stage Peak over here who just doesn’t dare to make a move... sigh, it’s really pathetic."
Facing enemies clearly stronger than the Strong Ones at the Insect Queen’s positions, yet in a situation where they just couldn’t attack at all, every one of them felt extremely frustrated.
After all, with such a huge advantage, they still couldn’t launch an offensive, and every time they even had to rack their brains to send someone whose strength was roughly equal to the enemy’s to fight. If they won, fine; but if they lost, some rivals in the rear who weren’t exactly friendly with them would use that as a pretext to attack them politically.
Actually this kind of situation had happened before; it had always existed. After all, through the course of the war, their side’s forces had taken very heavy losses. Even a Domain Master Creatures personally making a move had lost a small bout. Under those circumstances, their side could no longer trigger a large-scale war—this had become the default understanding between both sides.
Previously it had always been maintained quite well. Their positions didn’t suffer too much, and you could basically say both sides kept things in a relatively calm state.
The problem was, that "Jia Yan" showed up.
It’s said that when this guy arrived from afar at the Insect Queen’s Power, he’d even once been ambushed and attacked by their side’s "Territory Master."
You have to know, that was a Territory Master’s sneak attack. Normally, even if a Territory Master creature is injured, ambushing a new arrival at the Galaxy Middle Stage Existence level should absolutely never fail. But against all odds, Jia Yan actually escaped that strike!
Not only did he escape, not long after he actually came to this side’s positions.
And then, the people at these positions understood why Jia Yan had been able to escape the Domain Master Creatures’ personal pursuit.
It was because his strength was just too great!
Yet given the rigid rules now, they really couldn’t send anyone stronger than Jia Yan to deal with him, otherwise they’d be breaking the current "facts" on the ground.
...
The enemy was really having a headache over Jia Yan’s return.
But on the Insect Queen’s positions, everyone was thrilled.
As soon as Jia Yan came, he started challenging again over the past few days, and those jumpy enemies suddenly just folded, never daring to make any move against this side anymore.
Honestly, if they wanted to push the line forward, they could. After all, they occupied a Commercial Star, and the distance between that Commercial Star and this position was only about a few days’ travel. It was way too close, and the Insect Queen’s people had every reason to use that as an excuse to move the positions forward again.
But the Insect Queen’s side didn’t dare to provoke the enemy further. If the enemy really got enraged and ignored the default rules, and that Galaxy Level Middle Stage Peak existence lashed out in anger, even Jia Yan would find it hard to withstand.
So everyone fell silent like this. Seeing that Jia Yan had arrived and they had no way to deal with him, the enemy stopped moving, and this side, too, was just waiting for something, no longer poking at the other side.
The entire frontline actually became completely quiet after Jia Yan arrived.
"Wait, there’s bound to be some kind of twist sooner or later."
"Exactly. The Insect Queen over there has a huge appetite, and with that many Star River-level, they’re only occupying a few Commercial Stars. There’s no way they’re satisfied. Not to mention the Insect Queen, she definitely won’t be happy with this level of spoils."
"Right. If a Domain Master Creatures is only content with four or five Commercial Stars, and even has to feed that many subordinates, if it were me I definitely wouldn’t be satisfied either."
"As long as they start moving first, we’ll have grounds to ally with external forces and borrow troops to fight for us. In that case, the external forces probably won’t take the chance to turn on us either. Right now it’s just a matter of waiting for that Opportunity..."
"We wait."
Not only Jia Yan’s position, but all the offensive positions where the Insect Queen was attacking the two Big Star Fields were in this same state.
And once the enemy saw that the Insect Queen had no intention of continuing to advance around the area, they realized that the Queen Power was probably brewing something. So they started waiting too.
The enemies really didn’t believe that with so many Star River-level under the Insect Queen’s Power, plus a Territory Master, they could really make do with just those four or five occupied Commercial Stars.
In reality...
They really could make do!
The Strong Ones in the central area of the Milky Way Galaxy had no idea how poor the outer regions were, especially places like the Insect Clan’s Domain and the Orion Arm.
The Insect Queen’s group might be a bit better off; using Star Core and such was their usual thing.
The most miserable one was Jia Yan.
Think back for a moment—what has this kid been using all along?
Metal, low-level energy, rare minerals, plus swiping a bit here and robbing a bit there of Energy liquid and the like.
The energy fueling Jia Yan’s Promotion all the way up—if you said it out loud, the Strong Ones from the Central Starfield of the Milky Way would be moved to tears in sympathy. It was that tragic.
They probably never imagined there could be some existence that could use stuff that even a Beggar wouldn’t touch, and still climb all the way to the Galaxy Level Middle Stage like this. It was practically a miracle.
So they had even less idea that when faced with the output of four or five planets in the Central Starfield of the Milky Way, not only someone like Jia Yan, an ordinary Star River-level, but even the Insect Queen herself could hardly sit still.
So rich!
One average, run-of-the-mill Commercial Star—scrimping and saving from it would be enough to support three to four Star River-level. Four or five of them? That’s really a lot. And if you link these four or five into a commercial union, the output ratio could be expanded by more than double. Even the Insect Queen felt that was plenty.
