Jia Yan pondered a lot, especially about how this game channel came to be and the process of their development, running it all through his own understanding and decryption.

Because many of the things that happened back then weren’t that they didn’t want to talk about, but were born from countless flashes of inspiration of all sizes, plus some fuzzy, half-remembered memories and the like, that led them to the final data for the channel. It’s even possible that some portion of that data came into being only after countless chances and coincidences. That made Jia Yan have an extremely clear recognition about some of what was in there: this bunch of guys had very good Luck, and he himself, who had obtained their data, had Luck that was downright excellent.

"Heh, Could it be that getting these guys’ stuff really did give me a streak of good Luck?"

Looking at all that data, Jia Yan had to admit that even he felt the guys who’d gotten this data had Luck that was astonishingly good, because those people probably hadn’t, like Jia Yan, gone to ’another world’ and seen it for themselves. So just by relying on their own imagination and experience, they’d derived several sets of data about ’another world’. That could only be called a kind of miracle.

Of course, unlike them, Jia Yan had actually been to ’another world’. Or rather, he couldn’t be certain that the other world carried by this channel was the same Giant’s World he’d been to. But things of this sort are all interlinked by analogy, and Jia Yan felt that his understanding of the channel’s world was basically something that no one in the current age could surpass.

So he was extremely sensitive to his understanding of this channel and to every tiny error in its data.

"The numbers here should be wrong, but it’s no big deal. It just makes the channel a bit less efficient. They probably know there are errors in their data, but they don’t dare touch it. Because with something like this, once you start changing it, it’s a huge sum of investment, and there’s no guarantee you’ll fix it—might even overturn everything they already have and end up with all efforts wasted."

Jia Yan spotted quite a few small errors, then thought for a moment and corrected the mistakes in the data.

"Alright, that’s much closer to perfect. At least, with the knowledge and insight I have now, I can only refine it to this level. Returning a favor for a favor is something I enjoy doing—send it to them."

Jia Yan smiled faintly, then, inside the Subspace Interior, transmitted the modified data back to those Stellar-level Strong Ones who ran the game.

"If they’re smart enough, they’ll realize that what I sent them isn’t just something they can use on the game. In the future, if they really use their brains, they might get even more benefits out of it. We’ll see whether they have that kind of vision and opportunities."

After finishing all this, Jia Yan no longer paid attention to those few Stellar-level existences. As far as he was concerned, he’d already helped them far too much. If he kept going, it would basically be like treating them as his own disciples—and he had no intention of taking a few Stellar-level beings as disciples, because there was simply no need. Although Stellar-level wasn’t considered strong from his perspective, from the standpoint of the Universe they were still absolutely Strong Ones. Besides, once something’s already fixed in its nature, wanting to retrain it from scratch is practically impossible, so nobody would ever think of taking a Stellar-level existence as their disciple.

"Alright, now I’ll take a look at this channel for myself. For me, this channel might be the one leading to that Giant’s World I went to, or it might not be that world at all. If it really is the Giant’s World, then I need to seriously think about what that world actually is. If it’s not the Giant’s World, then that raises new questions—does this world, or rather this Universe, really contain that many different worlds? And by what kind of existence are they interconnected?"

"Of course, what I want isn’t just answers to those questions. I want to know what, among all this, is worth me learning from—especially for my combat style. Using this channel, can I develop some new kind of trump card that’s really useful to me?"

Jia Yan’s goal from the start was never pure research, but to gain more ways to fight.

Especially when he killed that Semi-permanent Star Level existence earlier, he’d already considered that the in-game channel might not merely be a ’line’ connecting the players together, but could potentially form a brand-new attack method unique to Jia Yan.

A combat method that can’t be altered to have an impact on a same-tier existence is not a good combat method.
