"Log off!"

Liruo made a swift decision, quickly flashing the thought of logging off.

Buzz!

But just as he wanted to log off, Jia Yan, who approached closely, was already next to him.

A pair of eyes flickered with a sharp gleam.

"Uh..."

At this moment, Liruo didn’t simply feel the character before him flashing a glimmer in its eyes; rather, behind this character, he sensed a terrifying figure, a monumental presence overshadowing the entire battlefield.

Apart from him, no other player felt this presence.

Indeed, at this very moment, the power of brainwaves was being exerted by the ’True Body’ of Jia Yan from deep within the subspace.

The Giant Mosquito’s True Body had mutated to a significant extent, and the brainwave power being used now resembled the usual state of Jia Yan, immensely terrifying in strength, comparable to a Divine Spirit against a Semi-permanent Star Level existence.

"Ah!"

In that instant, Liruo felt as if he were hit by something. Suddenly, he clutched his head.

Attempting to log off was futile!

"Aaaaaah, how—how can this be, Lord Jia Yan, please spare me, I implore you!"

Liruo was in unbearable pain, so much so that even his true body, far away, was concurrently in agonizing throes.

"Aaaaaah."

With a cold expression, Jia Yan stood before Liruo.

At the same moment, chaos erupted at the game’s operation headquarters.

"What’s happening? The data suddenly went haywire, such an enormous force surged into the corridor."

"Impossible, our corridor is constructed with entirely different theories and methods. Why could energy infiltrate our corridor? This—this is simply impossible."

"Theoretically possible, but one would need to be an extremely formidable Strong One to accomplish such a feat, and even then, without understanding the principles and connection methods of our corridor, it’s inconceivable to infiltrate. We anticipated that cracking this would take over a hundred years, yet a Strong One has done it now, this is..."

The technician at the operation headquarters was utterly perplexed.

Meanwhile, the top management was also in turmoil.

"It must be that Lord Jia Yan. He—he has a way to infiltrate our connection network, now it’s a big problem."

"Quick, sever the network!"

"It’s useless. Our network isn’t a real network; it utilizes various spatial theories and some super temporal theories in its creation. They exist independently, unrelated to us severing it."

"What do we do now? Can Jia Yan really eliminate Liruo through this network? It’s akin to a myth."

"It’s possible, and we don’t even know how Jia Yan’s method works. We can only hope he shows mercy and doesn’t kill Liruo, or our game is finished."

"This... alas, we knew we shouldn’t have let this Star River Level existence enter the game initially. Even if unable to defeat him, we could upgrade the game and shut it down. Now the matter has escalated."

"Haha, hindsight’s always easier. Would you have dared to say that then? If you had said that to a Star River Level existence, maybe they would have wiped out the game in a breath, which wouldn’t be much better."

"Stop arguing. We don’t understand what Lord Jia Yan plans to do, let’s just watch and hope he grants us a chance to live."

In this conversation were several Stellar level existences, who were supposed to be the game’s ultimate bastion. Yet now, even they were at a loss, completely unsure of what to do.

After all, the one causing trouble here was a Star River level existence; even if they joined forces, they’re not a match for a single move.

Boom boom boom.

At this point, the entire battlefield was silent, even though each person was incredibly shocked and horrified. In truth, their focal point was the site where the two battleships resided.

Or rather, if taken with precision: Liruo’s battleship.

Jia Yan had entered Liruo’s battleship.

"Why—why can’t I exit the game, Lord Jia Yan... I beg you, don’t—don’t do this."

Liruo felt his game character’s head vibrating intensely, followed by large amounts of blood spewing from his body.

Yet he couldn’t exit the game, while simultaneously, his true body there also hemorrhaged profusely; he was petrified, endlessly begging Jia Yan for mercy.

But rhetoric like his couldn’t sway Jia Yan.

The Star River level existence coldly observed the Semi-permanent Star Level existence ahead, eyes flickering with unusual colors.

Moreover, behind him was the true presence radiating brilliance, an ancient monstrous beast-like entity in the deep subspace continuously pressuring Liruo.

"Thi—this... this is... Star... Star... River... ha ha ha... it is indeed Star River... I—I died not in vain..."

Puff!

As Liruo stammered out his final words, his game character’s head exploded completely.

"Ah, Lord Liruo has died!"

"Impossible, Lord Liruo is Semi-permanent Star Level, how could he die like this."

"Jia Yan, what’s the background of this Jia Yan? Like what ’Lord’ shouted, is he a Star—Star River?"

"We..."

Puff puff puff.

One by one, Liruo Fleet members collapsed following their Sovereign’s death.

Unlike Liruo, each of them could return to their true bodies, for Jia Yan wouldn’t indiscriminately kill an enemy’s true bodies just over a game.

As for Liruo, had it not been his repeated acts of disrespect towards the Star River level existence, Jia Yan wouldn’t have killed him, especially with the Earth civilization member’s real-life assassination, which left Jia Yan displeased.

Yet the true reason for Jia Yan’s action lay in testing—testing his discovery.

"Haha, is he dead?"

"His true body should also be dead. Even if not dead, he is brain-dead, essentially the same as dead."

Jia Yan retracted his gaze.

He tested this discovery, testing it via his comprehension of the game’s connection method, developing an attack scheme.

"Frankly, this attack method isn’t limited to use within this game. It could be applied in numerous scenarios, because the game deploys a super temporal-like connection method. A few days ago, I hadn’t discerned it, spent considerable time, even needed to reflect upon clues from another world I had visited."

"Haha, if not for the experience of visiting another world, even stronger Star River level existences than me would find this connection method elusive, something that can exist for everyone and could be one of my future Assassins."

With a calm demeanor, he flew out of his area.

Boarding his battleship, shutting the hatch, he slowly set course towards Earth civilization amid the silent battlefield of deserted battleship wreckage.

"Lord Jia Yan... hooray!"

"Ah ah ah, hooray, Lord won!"

"I said so, right? Lord Jia Yan would definitely win."

"Haha, our entire civilization lost only hundreds of people and annihilated a top-tier game civilization, so what if they have a fifty thousand strong army? They still fell before us."

"We can really win. I thought we were doomed, haha, hooray to Lord!"

Earth civilization members, scattered across the vast battlefield, seemingly few in number, yet exploded in enthusiasm akin to thousands celebrating, each wildly jubilant.

Jia Yan merely grinned slightly, returning to the Earth civilization spaceship.
