Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2812 - 61: Accepting a Half-Disciple

Newcomers still haven’t fully adapted to the emotions and such in the game; their sense of belonging to Earth’s civilization isn’t very strong. Not to mention, Earth’s civilization is about to battle against such a terrifying civilization. Many players have started to feel despair; even those determined to fight rather train when they enter the game, preferring to stay offline, opting for home entertainment or other amusements outside—which no one can really control.

So recently, Earth’s civilization has been experiencing a high rate of absenteeism.

"Everyone must log in the day after tomorrow, which should be the day we battle with the Liruo Civilization. If you don’t log in, you won’t be able to enjoy the battle results."

Several captains are earnestly instructing their combat team members.

Even those not in the combat sequence are being guided by their superiors. After all, the fight against other civilizations isn’t just about battleships; it tests all aspects of civilization, including logistics and other matters.

Everyone is indispensable, especially since one cannot know who might be online; being able to mobilize anyone flexibly at the time is necessary. This requires Adisa, the Lord Sovereign, to have strong coordination and comprehensive calculation abilities.

Luckily, Adisa, being an embodiment of a Smart Brain, naturally has these abilities, and operates in an organized manner.

"I’ve assigned several alternative tasks to each person; when a position lacks personnel, I can temporarily assign someone there. The overall system won’t have issues."

"Well done. Without you, I wouldn’t be able to pull this off."

Jia Yan and Adisa had a brief conversation in the Controller’s Office that day.

Actually, they could do without talking, as Jia Yan was ready. If the battle becomes intense, he plans to use his true body for some maneuvers.

But Adisa seems intent on playing out the game thoroughly. Because both civilisations are semi-permanent star-level, if they defeat one too quickly, the other might start playing hide and seek or other antics, potentially becoming more cumbersome.

Additionally, there are risks involved when Jia Yan uses his true body, as he is nearing successful mutation. But being close isn’t quite achieving it; if something arises, it could be troublesome for both of them.

Naturally, Jia Yan also doesn’t wish to rely on his true body, so he discussed personnel, war control methods, and how to handle victory with Adisa.

War is inevitable, and victory is certain—because if Jia Yan resorts to his cheating methods, yet doesn’t win, it would indicate he’s a rather useless Star River-level entity.

Therefore, once the combat begins, Jia Yan will definitely ensure this war isn’t lost.

After discussing for a while, Jia Yan talked with Adisa slightly about that ’semi-disciple’.

"Oh, Lord has planted the seed of Yin-Yang Dao here? But I think it works; sprinkling a bit of the Yin-Yang Dao seed near the Central Region of the Milky Way, it’s like blooming from the center; maybe the growth of Yin-Yang Dao might fall onto this lord’s disciple."

It’s unexpected, but Adisa seemingly appreciates Jia Yan’s action, even finding it great to recognize a disciple here.

"Hehe, that’s hard to say; this lad probably doesn’t have such capability. But it reminds me that to let Yin-Yang Dao bloom, I need to continuously recruit such disciples—not directly formal disciples but akin to semi-disciples like this Respect-Level being. The future over at Orion Arm might give a sense similar to Yin-Yang Dao’s holy land."

Jia Yan slightly smiled.

Having exchanged a few more words with Adisa, Jia Yan stopped the conversation.

There wasn’t much else to say; as two top existences of Earth’s civilization, if they don’t communicate before such a major battle, the members below might find it odd.

Thus, two more days passed.

On the third day post-Jia Yan’s emergence, both civilizations’ battleships and spacecrafts finally encountered one another.

"Approaching."

"Is that the Liruo Civilization?"

"My God, swarming battleships, and such massive spacecraft. Can we really win?"

"Impossible, how could we possibly win."

"This...this, no way, on our side forget the battleship count; their battleship count exceeds our personnel number!"

"Thirty thousand? Fifty thousand? One civilization can have so many battleships?"

"We can’t win; I thought Earth’s civilization was strong, but now, seeing the enemy’s battleship scale and size, they’re entirely overpowering us. How could we possibly win?"

Every member of Earth’s civilization felt a bit of despair upon seeing the enemy’s shadow.

Even those who had followed Jia Yan and witnessed countless miracles all the way to the strongest enemy, were a bit disheartened at this moment.

Having followed Jia Yan, they had witnessed this strong one lead them to the game’s pinnacle. But now, they’re somewhat dubious whether Earth’s civilization can truly defeat such a formidable foe?

Even veteran members felt this way, let alone newly joined ones.

Today’s log-in rate isn’t low, given such a major event; even previously lax players would come to check the situation. Even if they can’t be main roles, at least they can be small supporting roles, even if their character dies—it becomes a kind of ritual.

So, Earth’s civilization’s player numbers shockingly hit thirty thousand.

Yet the thirty thousand members seem minuscule compared to the fifty-thousand battleship fleet.

"Hahaha, Earth’s civilization dares to deliver themselves like fools to us?"

"You better surrender quickly, being silly enough to dare a life-and-death showdown with our Liruo Civilization. Your total personnel count doesn’t even match our battleship count, to not speak of quality—your kind of level, wanting to fight us, is courting death."

"Hahaha, I reckon our civilization’s Lord Liruo is giving you face. Else, sending a single squadron could easily annihilate you. Deploying the full military shows just how high he regards you."

"Lord Liruo’s always like that, respectful to every opponent. You should thank our Lord Liruo."

From the other side’s numerous battleships, many warship commanders used public channels, like a psychological assault toward the Earth’s members, issuing a barrage of derogatory and belittling remarks.

Of course, most of their remarks are valid.

Indeed, Earth’s civilization is incredibly weak; for the enemy to look down on this side is understandable.

Look at the battleship numbers, and then consider battleship quality. Earth’s civilization hasn’t yet achieved high-level battleship scale; each destroyed battleship is merely a third the size of the enemy’s. The opponent’s main cannon will blast Earth’s battleship into fragments.

While Earth’s civilization’s main cannon may fail to penetrate the enemy’s defense.

It’s a level suppression, not to mention the massive numerical disparity. Anyone observing would likely feel a sense of despair.

"This...this...they actually belittle us."

"No matter, despite the gap, I refuse to be looked down upon."

"Indeed, we’re part of Earth’s civilization; if they dare bring a squadron, we’ll see Lord Jia Yan lead us to rout them."

"If they disdain us, don’t bring the full military. Bringing the full military suggests they’re afraid."

"Exactly, bringing the full military suggests they’re afraid too."
