For someone possessing such an innocent, handsome face, the things he harbored in his mind were anything but pure.

Bunny put on an icy demeanor, warning him sternly, "There won’t be a next time. You gotta behave."

Since he wasn’t wearing a single stitch of clothing, it was nearly impossible for Bunny not to notice that particular detail, her eyes stealing a subtle, fleeting glance.

Hmm... surprisingly, it’s still quite pink.

Though still a notch below Cyrus in terms of sheer size.

Gasp—why on earth did her mind suddenly wander in that direction?!

Sure enough, after spending so much time around this bunch of unfiltered, hyper-sexual Sentinels, her own innocence had been severely compromised.

Having reclaimed his pillow, Kai’s mood brightened instantly. Resting his head against it, his eyes tracked Bunny’s every movement as she paced back and forth across the apartment.

Bunny securely latched all the windows, wedged heavy furniture against the front door, and set up several tripwire alert mechanisms, terrified that Aberrations might launch a surprise attack while she slept.

She even paused to double-check that the dog chain around Kai’s neck was securely fastened.

Only after finishing every precaution did she step into the bedroom and collapse onto the wooden bed frame to sleep. The sheer intensity of non-stop combat and fleeing had long since drained every drop of her energy.

Her eyelids grew as heavy as lead, and within two minutes, she drifted off into a deep slumber.

However, she had overlooked one critical factor: Kai was currently suffering from severe separation anxiety. The moment she vanished from his sight, he became hopelessly restless and uneasy.

Having been trapped inside that freezing, slimy chrysalis for far too long, his mind had grown numb from radiation exposure. Any slight coldness or distance from Bunny magnified that underlying dread exponentially.

He wasn’t stupid—he was simply out of practice after going so long without speaking.

In the dead of night, a subtle rustling noise jolted Bunny awake.

Kai was scratching at the door.

She covered her ears and rolled over, but the scratching only grew louder and more persistent.

Argh!

Bunny sat bolt upright in bed, marched over to the door, and yanked it open in a huff. Kai had somehow slipped out of the dog chain and was crouching right outside the threshold, staring up at her with an aggrieved, hurt expression.

It was as if he were silently demanding to know why she had locked him outside.

"Are you ever going to give it a rest?!" 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

Just as Bunny reached out to chain him back up, Kai suddenly threw his arms around her thigh, clinging to her leg for dear life and refusing to let go.

The second she raised her voice at him, he began whining pitifully.

Good grief, was this giant dragon actually a certified crybaby rogue?!

Bunny looked down at the man’s reddened eyes and tried yanking her leg back like pulling a stubborn radish, but he didn’t budge a single millimeter.

After several exhausting minutes of back-and-forth wrestling, Bunny was forced to compromise. She propped the bedroom door wide open so he could keep his eyes on her and quell his anxiety.

To prevent him from breaking free from the leash again, Bunny reinforced the fasteners multiple times before finally crawling back into bed to sleep.

Kai lay sideways on the cold floor facing Bunny, completely motionless and quiet.

Yet deep within those dark, steel-colored eyes, the helplessness and vulnerability he had displayed in front of Bunny moments ago vanished entirely—replaced instead by an infinitely more obsessive, stormy fixation.

Dragons were creatures driven by overwhelming possessiveness.

They loved gold, they loved shiny treasures, and above all else... They loved siring offspring with human women.

The steady, rhythmic sound of the woman’s soft breathing echoed through the quiet bedroom—she was fast asleep.

Kai wrapped his long, chiseled fingers around the metal collar at his throat. With a faint flex of effort, the heavy iron collar snapped cleanly in two.

He silently slithered onto the bed. After verifying that Bunny hadn’t been awakened by the sound, Kai unabashedly wrapped a long, powerful arm around the woman’s waist, pulling her close as he embraced her tightly from behind to sleep.

He didn’t forget to press the tip of his nose gently against the back of her neck and hair, inhaling her lingering scent with quiet satisfaction.

The more he inhaled her scent, the more deeply enamored he became.

Only after drinking his fill of her scent did he close his eyes in quiet satisfaction.

Kai had lost a portion of his memories. He only recalled being separated from his teammates during a nuclear radiation blast, and when he next awoke, he was bound and surrounded by a group of figures in stark white masks.

He had no idea where that place was, nor what they intended to do to him.

He only knew, by raw instinct, that those memories held unimaginable agony.

How he had managed to escape was entirely lost to him as well. In a state of extreme weakness, he had wandered aimlessly across the dangerous radiation zone until he fell into an Aberration trap—relegated to serving as an "eternal" blood bank for the alien queen.

None of that mattered anymore. He needed to return to the Sentinel Tower and find his squad.

As for why Bunny had appeared in a place like this, Kai was deeply surprised and puzzled, assuming she was a wild, unregistered Guide who had accidentally strayed into the radiation zone.

Which worked out perfectly. He would take her back with him so she would no longer have to wander around in constant fear every single day.

Even if she happened to be a lost Guide belonging to another Sentinel Tower, it didn’t matter in the slightest. Once she arrived at 616, she was their Guide.

Claimed by his own strength, she belonged to him.

On this particular point, Kai’s bandit logic aligned seamlessly with that of his teammates.
