Chapter 1038: Chapter 1042: This Matter Can’t Be Left Unresolved

Xia Dongxue glanced outside the courtyard, lowered her voice and said, "Your Third Brother and Third Sister-in-law are getting divorced, did you know that?"

Yunyi frowned slightly, considering Huo Gaodi’s personality, even if he truly didn’t intend to continue, it’s unlikely he would bring it up at this moment: "I’m really not clear about it, how did you find out?"

"A colleague in the troupe has an elder in the hospital, so I went to visit during midday break yesterday. It turned out I ran into the Shen couple at the hospital entrance."

Yunyi thought: Duan Zhuangyu’s underhanded actions were something I haven’t mentioned to my parents yet; first, it wasn’t urgent, second, not wanting to affect their mood since the New Year is approaching.

However, seeing my mother’s expression, it didn’t seem like she knew the truth, so I slightly eased my mind.

Xia Dongxue continued, "The couple was quite odd, talking incoherently, continuously asking your husband and you to help persuade your Third Brother. I was in a rush to get to work, so I left. Otherwise, I couldn’t have gotten away."

Yunyi didn’t expect the Shen couple to play tricks on her mom, so she recounted everything Duan Zhuangyu did in detail.

This not only enraged Xia Dongxue, but Ye Bingyu was also fuming: "What kind of nonsense is this?"

Xia Dongxue’s eyes became red: "This matter can’t just end like this. She thinks Yiyi is easy to bully, thinks there’s nobody in the Ye family?"

Ye Bingyu’s face turned terrifyingly serious: "Yiyi, what do you think?"

Yunyi rubbed the tip of her nose: "Such a big matter, naturally I can’t pretend to be generous. But I don’t need to worry, Jingrui will handle it well."

Just as Yunyi said, Huo Jingrui couldn’t possibly let Yunyi be bullied, the Duan family wanting to settle quietly, he would make it widely known.

While the Duan Family were still playing their tricks, what Duan Zhuangyu did had already spread to her workplace.

The leadership at the workplace, being cautious, immediately sent people to investigate upon hearing the news. When they found the rumors to be true, a meeting was promptly convened, with the final punishment being her transfer to a TV relay station over a hundred miles from Beijing.

She could only rest four days a month, meaning she could only return to Beijing once a month, and even though it’s not that far, the round trip takes two days since the relay station is on a mountain, making it quite troublesome.

Duan Zhuangyu had just awakened not long ago, and the transfer notice was delivered to the Duan family. However, Shen Qiuye, afraid her daughter couldn’t bear it, didn’t tell Duan Zhuangyu.

Because of this, Shen Qiuye resented Huo Gaodi, "Wenchang, this matter surely involves the Huo Family. If Zhuangyu knew she was transferred to such an awful place, she would be furious."

Duan Wenchang didn’t expect things to quickly reach the TV station and the punishment to be so severe.

He initially thought of persuading the in-laws, walking around Ye Family and asking them to help persuade Huo Family’s fourth son and his wife, only to find changes happened before he managed it.

After Xia Dongxue and Ye Bingyu finished discussing the matter with Yunyi, seeing their daughter looking well, they felt relieved too.

However, upon leaving the army family courtyard, Ye Bingyu’s face sank: "The Duan Family truly takes the cake, their daughter does such shameless things, yet they still think they can fool us. Had I not visited Yiyi today and learned the truth, I would have been deceived by them."

Xia Dongxue’s expression wasn’t much better: "If he will help Duan Zhuangyu, we can’t be outdone. If they dare to bully our daughter, we must show them some wrath."

Before reaching home, the couple had already strategized how to deal with the Duan Family.
